Honestly it's refreshing to see a new player picking a beginner champ with a small tool kit. It's a fantastic way in my opinion to nail the fundamentals. I know I went from Garen to Cho' Gath to Nassus then branched out into my secondary role and I had a fairly good time climbing out bronze and silver. If this student can hone on the Q's and understand the 200-300Q spike he's gonna have a fun time.
simple champs didnt help me when i first started my first champ i tried to learn was yasuo then swapped to shen sylas and currently learning qiyana as a time waster
@@Keyont3 With the exception of Shen (apologies to xPetu) are those actually simple champs? Nassus and Garen for example have 0 skill shots it's all point and click while walking and finding autos. Yasuo has a lot of mobility, Sylas has dashes and a spammable kit, and Qiyana has dashes and stealth mechanics, all of those chaps are far less linear than Wither, E, Q. Or Silence, W, Spin, Ult.

I think when Neace knows his players are actually bad, he is very patient. It is when they are obtuse, or stubborn, that he gets mad. It's okay to be bad.

Also Spellbook is legit a great way to get cheeky kills in lane on Nasus without sacrificing TP for late game but it requires a lot more game knowledge to use than he currently has. I'd have him run conqueror and get him used to the idea of sustained fighting
I hinestly prefer grasp on nasus. You're gunna be pinging Qs anyway, might as well stack HP while you do it.
conq prob better for him than Spellbook, but grasp even better still to add more sustain
Spellbook is gonna be even stronger with the TP nerfs coming.
None of you run fleet footwork? I find it really useful to get a small ms boost every now and then + some even greater sustain
@@Oberjin I used to run that against ranged (especially Teemo) until I started going comet/E max/dring start to insta-win lane against them
If I want to chance a Q max start against ranged I'd run fleet for sure tho

Reptilian response is an interesting topic. Essentially, whenever we are in a tough situation that provokes our emotions enough to overcome our higher ability to out think a scenario...logic flies out the window and we are left acting on animalistic, much more instinctual behavior. Re evaluating why things may have happened in that state of mind makes it near impossible to see the truth, as your brain will be too hung up on whatever way you are feeling about the thing, rather than seeing the objective truths of the subject.
I think a point to add to tie everything together is that uncertainty is a catalyst for this type of response, and that league is a game of formulating certainties by manipulating the uncertain.

You made a big deal out of him hitting creeps when he was already slow pushing into malphite. Isn't it ideal to fast push that out, especially considering it's a cannon wave, then reset? He'll get the wave back at his tower and have an item advantage over malphite. Malphite may struggle to break a soft freeze for awhile. This seems way safer than being in a visibly vulnerable state on the map for 30+ seconds while also giving you a nice base.
Depends on the situation really. Since Nasus thrives on getting his stacks, farming under tower actually serves him. Makes it harder for him to get solo'd in lane. I think Neace was trying to focus on the guy's fundamentals rather than anything more high level, especially since the player was struggling with movement and last-hits in the laning phase.
@@heychrisfox Yeah, and unless I'm missing something in that situation a fast push would let him continue to farm under tower without possibility for punish in addition to giving him an ideal base timing

once he starts fighting more the biggest thing that will help him is ulting and then qing. He has a habit of using his q and then ulting which puts it on like a 3 second cooldown instead of a 1 second cooldown

After this game, the player goes on a 5 loss streak and actually demotes down to Bronze 2 and has stagnated around 20-30 ish LP in Bronze II as of now out of like 30+ games... so I would say no. Hopefully he can look back at this video and improve over time. Just keep putting the games into ranked and he should hopefully be out of Bronze in about... 50-100 more games? Maybe?
Yeesh, and looking at those games, he was either the worst or close to it in each of those games. Sometimes I see these people and I'm like, you need to try a different game man.

Show him how to a-click. That will fix a lot of his clicking issues
I don't think so in this case. See, I never a-click and I'm almost perfect with last hitting and trading with low attack speed champions. Only reason I would miss a last hit would be that I'm being harassed hard. What he needs to train is his clicking, from my perspective. 15 minutes of farming in a custom match, rinse and repeat. He does that for half a day. The other half he puts a bot in hard mode and tries to kill it. He will learn how to kite. That's it, next day he will be another man. At least, that is how I fixed this issue I also had.
Based on his performance, I'm not sure this guy can handle A click yet. He used teleport mid-fight button mashing lol. He's still struggling to handle QWER, forget pressing A while clicking and using abilities.
@@DenGleason best to learn when you start tbh. go into practice mode and just do it for hours on end. Plus it will teach him how to use his range better for his character. he wouldnt be standing right on top of everything when he doesnt need to.

Warding is important but I would argue that positioning and farming are more important core concepts for a player to understand at this skill level. The guy already has more than enough to work on between those two things, adding warding to that would only give diminishing returns
Edit: Just adding a little more validation to my point.. warding is only worthwhile IF the player(s) frequently check the minimap. Warding theory could be it's own college course
@@enobyte Warding is always good no matter what, sure he's not gonna check the minimap that often but it's a skill you should be learning early on because a good ward is game changing and doesn't benefit only him but the whole team.

why the hell build frozen heart second item, Trundle doing the worst to him, Bramble at least better, even if just the bramble then FH... but straight into FH isnt that great here since Trundle been camping him, in fact, I cant see how FH is at all viable, no attack speed type champs for the slow to be of use, maybe MF at a stretch, but barely. Trundle is more regen than att speed, Malph is tank and usually ap, neeko is ap I think, Senna sup not really gunna be a worry for fh to be a thing, and MF, maybe but even then, the bramble/thorn better
NGL that was hard to watch. But... he can learn and showed that in this game. Easy champion but for a somewhat new player he has potential. Gonna take quite some time if he keeps backing off every fight like he was though.

26:05 actually you can focus their tank with spirit fire placed between the tank and the carry, wither the carry and Q the tank (while in ult) anytime it's up as you're chasing down the carry. The extra damage will help a ton when you finish the carry and the lifesteal + healing from sunderer will help you survive while you chase the carry down. Not to mention the tank get's badly injured so he can't finish you off once his carry dies.
With shit lp gains I don't think so

i mean, being diamond in overwatch should give you some gamesense in a certain way? Like how to increase efficiency when pathing or clicking. He also loves to run away when fighting which is weird not to mention not looking at the minimap when skirmishes are happening. Overwatch also uses abilities so idk why he doesn't understand gap closing with wither and uses E instead.

This video made me realize coaching like this is a major rip off. It really only helps people who have a knack for video games and more specifically mobas. If I had to be brutally honest this guy sucks and he should get a refund. He’s not just really bad at league I have a feeling he’s bad at all games. Looking at his skill level yelling commands at him for one game isn’t going to do him any good. I’m not going to look him up but I have a feeling this session didn’t do him any good and it’s not his fault. I think neace has to recognize different clients have different skill levels and need a different approach to “coaching”. This guy doesn’t know anything about this game and after this session he still doesn’t know anything.
