I suffer from low self esteem and depression and one thing that has helped ME is trying new things that make me anxious scared. I’ve tried rock climbing, snowboarding, group classes. I feel so accomplished after doing them. ❤

Helen I just have to comment on purpose as I know you’ve struggled with this for a while. I’m much older than you but over the years you’ve entertained, educated, motivated and inspired me. Recently I had a major medical crisis and was in hospital for a month. During those incredibly long and difficult days and nights I put your videos on my iPad and just watched them (videos I’d already seen) because I knew they would cheer me up. My nurses and doctors started watching them and a couple even subscribed to you! So do you have a purpose? I don’t know, but you sure as hell got me through I a time where I legitimately almost died a couple times.

I just wanna say it’s crazy for anyone to accuse you of using ozempic when your hard work has been documented. You put in the time and effort. With that said, you’ve inspired me to put myself first and take better care of my health. Going to the gym feels good! Also, like another commenter said, you’d be a great motivational speaker!

Loved all this advice. As someone who spent years in a work area that is considered 'purposeful' I can say it's not all it's cracked up to be! Many of these types of roles/careers are poorly paid and supported with limited resources and huge barriers. Whilst money isn't everything, working in a job that requires so much of yourself to be given that you're exhausted by the weekend and struggling financially is not it. Put yourself first, that should always be your primary purpose, the rest is mere detail.
Also huge props on the weight loss. I watched your video on it shortly after I started and hugely related to your eating style and choices. People just don't realise how tracking and exercise in a consistent way can lead to losing a couple pounds a week, and the weeks fly by!

Amen, Helen. I put too much stock into a friendship that I always got flaked out on or straight up stood up , show up late on, texts not returned for days, every excuse in the book for about 12 years. And even so I was silly and considered her "friendship love bombing" as more than it was. It was a one way street for sure. I even recently practically convinced her to take a job at my workplace. I basically had to twist her arm. Still, we hardly talk at work and her lack of reciprocation spoke volumes to me and since October I just quietly said, I'm over it. No ill wishes but I shouldn't try so hard for a friendship she's clearly not interested in since ever

I agree so much with the friendship comment. They do change overtime and you naturally can drift apart from people when you get older. In my 30s, I’ve learnt it’s all about energy and balance. If it’s not a joint effort then I’m not going to put anymore attention to it.

I've been watching you for over ten years since my daughter was a baby and now she is 12! I would watch you while she was napping and sleeping and I just love how much you have evolved into seemingly a really down to earth person. But I'm commenting because there is a show I used to watch called little people big world and I recently started binging old episodes and there is a chick who eventually became part of the show named Audrey(Botti/Roloff) and I don't know why but sometimes she really reminds me of you, but strictly speaking looks wise not personality wise I think she falls a but flat especially compared to you but I don't like to compare. Anyway I just thought it funny she reminds me if you and I don't even actually know you! Definitely mean it as a compliment because I think she's beautiful so please don't take it any other way. Well wishes and thank you for continuing to let us peak into your life! ❤

I just had my golden birthday this past January, I turned 30. Initially it was honestly embarrassing for me, because most of my friends are 1 to 5 years younger then me.. but this video gave me so much comfort. I also just got out of a 4 year relationship 3 weeks ago so this video came just in time for me. I actually feel like it healed that part of me that was embarrassed 😅. I honestly am doing so much better with this new found wisdom and independence. Thank you Helen for doing what you do, I have been watching since the my little pony hair video. 💜

Thankfully now I work from home so now I have more freedom to dedicate time to self-improvement and the way you break those ideas down is exactly what I've been feeling...it's just been hard to pit it into words. I agree the housework discussion to an extent but what about if your other half works more hours? 😅 I work 37.5 hours but my husband works nearly double that as a lorry driver. He is so tired after work that asking him to cook, clean etc seems wrong 😅 i don't mind doing everything as long as i'm not overwhelmed and he will help me as and when he can...but i am the main cook, food shopper, cleaner, dog mum, DIY'er etc 😅 love your videos Helen! Not even just saying this, you should 100% do motivational speaking. I’m 33 and everything you say about your own version making success and releasing the stress of “purpose” ring so fucking true for me. Honestly I reckon you would fucking smash it and would be so inspiring to people that are wasting their life away overthinking and stressing about “purpose” instead on just honing in on what being them joy in life.
