I find myself shooting in Cine D all the time. It provides better options for grading because it doesn't blow out the highs or crush the blacks as much as the other profiles. Would be nice to have a log profile though for 10bit recording -- seems a bit of a waste otherwise :-(

Agree. I shoot in Cine D most of the time. I hope Panasonic will release firmware update that provides Log and HLG.

Hello Sir, may I ask you if you have tried to customize the scene files color profiles? I just bought the HC-X2000 and regularly looking at the operation manual. That way I found out that it´s possible to edit/load/save the color profiles from each scene file. I think this is a very nice feature, but it wasn´t mentioned anywhere in the advertisements that this is possible with that camera. As far as I understand this feature, it´s like creating a LUT inside the camera. Is that right?

Color profiles are similar to LUT but they are not the same. This camcorder doesn’t support custom LUT in-camera.

And I want to learn to do a proper manual white balance with the HC-X2000. It´s somehow unusual for me how it has to be done with this camcorder. But I´ll keep reading the operation manual.

Yes, it’s really unconventional to many for setting WB in Panasonic cameras, but their professional camcorders have been using the term ATW since many years ago.

Hows is the low light performance Grain. Im debating wether to get this or the Sony FX30.

Hi, the low light performance definitely is way behind a much larger sensor on the FX30. If low light is your priority, the X2000 family is definitely not a good choice. If you only require medium telephoto up to 200mm equivalent , I think an FX30 setup wouldn't be much heavier especially if you most of your work is done in lower light levels. Even a 1" model will be much better such as the HC-X2, AX700.

@@yk3550 I've seen impressive shots but mostly nighttime videos with fairly lit locations. I'm using it for Event gatherings, and wedding acts.

@@bikelifewithalex120 Hi, for outdoor events in bright situation , this camcorder will be great. However, for indoor wedding , it depends if we’re shooting with the lens at wide end of 25mm which allows the brightest iris of f1.8 to be used. It will start to struggle if we zoom in as it quickly creeps beyond f2.8. In addition, the bundled camera light on the handle comes handy and necessary in such situation. The noise control and color rendition with higher gain on this camcorder is still quite usable in my opinion. Nevertheless, sufficient camera lighting is still recommended to provide a better look for such jobs in low light.
