When an eBay buyer reaches out and behaves rudely, they are only going be worse! B
y threatening in a super passive aggressive manner, pinning you against their credit card or the post office. Don't engage with them just block them. Who needs extra stress?
I was hoping you cancelled and blocked the buyer after your last video. I don't think its a matter of being right, it sounds like your husband is speaking from experience, and more often than not difficult people can make things even more difficult. I would rather not make a sale than try to please someone that rubs me the wrong way. We all learn from mistakes and scams, its part of the seller business.
I should have listened to him 🥺 Experience is right! He remembers more of the bad buyers than I do ;)
Its funny how we can always feel that spidey sense that something's off with a buyer. I had a hideous buyer this week on Poshmark who also purchased something from me on eBay. Both items are being returned... I knew he would be an issue from the start. Ugh!!
My only problem with buyers lately myself has been with people buying stuff then not paying and not even responding to my emails to find out if they bought it by accident or didn't realize that they didn't pay for the items. I had 5 of those in the past 2 weeks.

Thanks for sharing the situation (and ID) of that difficult Buyer. Another one added to my Blocked Buyer List! I was looking at the feedback they have left for other Sellers, some N/N and picky feedback. Red flags. Those are the Buyers no Seller wants to encounter.
I always tell the customer that I'm going to call their postmaster and have the carrier gps'd, then call the customer's post master and find out who the carrier was, and tell them what's going on. 9.9 times out of 10, they got their item and they will tell me after the fact some story of where it was!!! If you drop the postmaster's name when you tell them you spoke to someone and they are asking the carrier and gpsing!!
That's too much. As long as the tracking shows the item delivered, I simply tell the buyer the item shows as being delivered and that there isn't anything I can do now. End of discussion. Nothing they do will harm your transaction and ebay will side with you bcz of the tracking.

I would have cancelled the order and report them to ebay for extortion for telling you that you had to give him extra discount.
Ebay does allow you to do that too.

Hey Jennifer! Great sales! So much to say. First, had the same thing happen with a pair of shoes. Lots of questions. Exact measurements etc. My hubby said just stop and let it go. Strong independent here should have listened also!😂 Blocked that buyer of yours. Side note, dont like "old lady" perfumes either😂 have a great week!!

If someone ships anything back any different than the way I shipped it to them . I'm not refunding them.

Well since the label is securely affixed to the box I think it's easy to prove they didn't ship it correctly. However, I don't know if they are required to??

When it comes to difficult customers, I try to help them out .. but if they keep causing issues like you had I would do the same thing .. block them and move on. My last difficult customer that I really remember from a few years ago knick-picked the item he got even though it had all the details in the description. He asked for a partial refund of 50% .... U agreed to a certain amount. He didn't even get back to me and I just just let it slide without the refund. Some people are just really cheap but want money back but just give up if they the person says less then what they want back.
When it comes to shipping items out. I never ship them out in their original boxes because they may want it as a collectable and don't want the box damaged .. or they may be buying it as a store to resell it. If it gets damaged you might have got a return request because then the buyer can say not as noted om description. One thing you could ahve done if you have access to really big bubble mailers is use one of those on the outside of the box or wrap it in Kraft paper (if you don't call it that it's basically like brown wrapping paper used for shipping. I also put cds and cassettes in plastic bags too (I sometimes use comic bags for it that I cut up).
I sell a lot of collectibles including media ones and attract customers that a pay a bit more for stuff because i'm all about condition with my items and people can see that in my feedbacks.
Yea I need to be doing the same and block problem customers as well. Had a guy going ape shit over how I would package candy, and then when he demanded 1 day shipping I told him he would need to cover the additional cost he then wanted to buy 2 orders and so I refunded him so he could and then he started bitching about not being able to buy it demanded I send him an offer and at that point i had enough and blocked him.
The guy before that was spamming one line texts about how this Vintage 60's Electronic Can Opener blade wasnt sharp and demanded a $10 reimbursement on a $25 item. Promptly blocked as well.
Block anyone demanding one day shipping (especially for lower value/common items). Almost certainly a scammer who wants it as soon as possible before the fraud is detected.
I am sick and tired of Ebay not ending their actt. when they go through the cc. Thats not bays processs.

Mike over at the Golden State Picker channel sells a ton of golf clubs and has been listing them recently as ground advantage saying that they ship pretty inexpensively. I was surprised, but he was very happy with the discovery.

Thanks for the info! I personally use the USPS priority tubes (just can't ship advantage or any service other than priority at USPS with them! You CAN however ship them UPS or FedEx with them) when I don't have another box in my pile. My extended family gets a lot of photography equipment and they come in great long boxes that I reuse. I know you can also find them on ULine and Amazon/eBay in a pinch.

I too would look out for top designer brands in anything, but I would fear it would be a knock off.
I also had that happen my package arrived but the tracking kept saying it was still in transit, so I reached out and said I did receive it and left a review. But I also could have said I hadn't received it yet. It made me wonder when there's a system issue like that what happens when buyer is dishonest. How do you prove they got it if there's no update or scan showing delivered.
When a buyer claims they didn't receive an item, just say, "I'm sorry you didn't receive your item, please open an item not received case with eBay". Refuse any communication after that. If they really didn't get their item, they will get a refund (eBay funded if tracking shows delivered, or seller funded otherwise). No point in further communication, especially a psycho buyer.
Thought cannot sell used perfume / cologne on Ebay? Nice find for that Bose. I would keep it one piece and super super pack it well.

If that went through paypal for his purchase, they too, will throw that claim out had almost similar issue few weeks ago.

Why do people argue with the seller about if a package was delivered? Have they never heard of “porch pirates”? I’ve had three buyers do the same thing and eBay sided with me. It shows delivered…..what do you want me to do?

eBay will fund INR cases when the tracking shows delivered (at least according to their current policies, as with all eBay seller policies YMMV.) Either way, arguing with them is pointless, just tell them to open an INR case.
