I had mine for 6 months before I got the nerve to use it. Now I can not get enough of foiling.

Thank you!! I finally pulled my Platinum machine and Glimmer foil machine out of the box😊 So far I love it; still doing only basic foiling so far but working up to some of the more advanced techniques.

I watched the replay and couldn’t get the chat. I have the foil press and never opened it. I just got the mini mimic for Christmas. Hope you have a joyful and healthy New Year. My husband and I have been sick with something. Congestion bad but happy I stopped vomiting. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!

Hi Nancy! I’ve watched your channel on and off for a while and I enjoy the content. I don’t have a foiling machine because while I understand needing a separate machine, I can’t get behind the expense of separate dies for cutting and foiling. Why can’t they use a die like the existing foiling dies with one side for foiling and the other for die cutting that can be used with foiled or plain paper? When foiling, couldn’t you use a rubber mat or something similar between the die’s sharp edge to stop the die from cutting into the bottom plate?

Nice idea but I'm sure the manufacturing is different. I have used dies in the hot foil machines, but it's a thin line that is foiled.

Nope, those are meant to absorb lots of water /ink so they are too porous.

Hi Nancy. I’m new to your channel and to hot foiling and I’m really liking your videos. I did like the video that you taped your plates together and to the base. But sometimes I notice it’s not taped to the base is there a reason that it’s not? I have a really hard time pulling my base out so I’m taping everything down a lot and I find it’s ripping the paper. I’m using the spellbinders yellow tape. So I noticed the way you do it you don’t have to use tape. Thank you for your videos I’m from BC Canada.

Hi Nancy, can I ask what you printed your foiling friend on please? Thank you. Happy new year to you and your family. X

I originally did it on heat safe acetate with the laser printer and then toner foiled it in black. But I recommend just doing it on paper. It will get crumpled and you can keep reprinting it.

Hi Nancy! Have you tried Concord and 9th white cardstock for hot foiling. I’ve heard it great for foiling.

I'm in France. Can you recommend a source for paper and foil for me, please? I would get it from UK but Customs charges make it out of my pocket
