Life has been very challenging for me the last months. Beloved family members are having serious health issues so I've barely had a couple of hours a week to create, let alone watch TH-cam videos. I just finished my teaching semester so I treated myself to a Spellbinders Glimmer machine. I found this video and I realized how much I have missed the time that I had spent with you. Your voice is always soothing, you show your mistakes, you are even more compulsive than I am about things being perfect. I learned so much from you when I finally opened my Cricut Maker! You sent me to face my machine feeling empowered. I am not an unexperienced card maker. I worked at a rubber stamp and scrapbooking store for over 23 years. Your card is lovely. I would have made some different choices in creating it, but that's not the point. The point is the joy that I shared with you watching your making moments. Those moments are special and the ones that I have most enjoyed when I have taught others to practice law, bead, rubberstamp, scrapbook... Hugs!

Oh my goodness Bethany. I used to watch Create and Craft and they had a machine called the TODO, which they said was the Spanish word for everything because it does everything, It die cuts, embosses, and does hot foiling. Well, I got carried away and I have boxes of hot foil dies. Christmas, birthday, everything. Some are backgrounds for cards, and then tons of rolls of hot foil in all kinds of colors, The machine is in a cabinet, and I am old and don't even want to dig it out. I feel guilty for having spent so much money on things that I am not going to use. It is a beautiful effect. I did do some Christmas cards with snowflakes and ornaments. I did them on a black card with silver foil and they did turn out to be stunning. As a matter of fact, I got the most compliments on those cards then any that I've done.

Hi Bethany, this card is soooo inspirational! And yes, the floral design brings about a “grandmotherly” imagery. I heard Cathy Zielski give you a huge shout out the other day as well. The two of you are so easy to follow with your simplistic approach to crafting. I so enjoyed the foiling technique. As I always say, you are simply the best…..and…. thanks for sharing your time and talent with us.

I got one on clearance at hobby lobby for $100 and I watched your box opening vid ages ago but never since. I wonder if we can combine the printmaker WITH stamps and hot foil to make a unique card.
