    Does the glasses work in German language? If yes, it would be nice when they see you could write an email. Would be interested to test this and Germany for my German community.

    Really cool device and a reasonable price. I'm wondering about the battery life. Is it drawing power fyr phone?

    • @ARxVision
      @ARxVision 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes ARx uses the phone battery. It can last from 4h to 7h depending on phone and initial battery level.

    This might be a thing I could enjoy. I didn't catch on if the headset is behind the neck wrap around, and rest down on my shoulders collarbone area if I periodically needed to do that and easily pull it back up over the ears?

    • @motobojo2
      @motobojo2 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That is possible.

    • @carrieonaccessibility

      Yes, it goes near your ears and behind the neck. I suppose you can slide it down when not using it... I'm not sure how comfortable it would be though.

    Tempting... One question. Does it work only with Seeing AI app or does it work with other apps (BemyEyes, Lookout...)? Also; can it work as a remote camera for the phone camera? Can you use it to take a picture with instead of the phone camera?
    Thanks

    • @motobojo2
      @motobojo2 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      At this time the apps that work with it is their own ARx app, SeeingAI and NaviLens. The camera is currently only accessible via the apps that support the headset. It turns out that when you use scene description in the ARx app it leaves a copy of the image it took to analyze in your camera roll. I don't know if that was by design or not.

      @@motobojo2 Thanks for answering my questions. If you ask me, the only accesoriy we need is some sort of a remote camera, that would act as an extention of the main camera on the phone. If you had this camera, you could attach it anywhere on you (wrist, hat brimm, collar, glasses, chest...) And since it would be just an extention of the main camera, all the apps could be used with it. It would be cheap and very universal

      @@AirsoftTipsandReviews I guess it all depends on what needs you are trying to address. ARx is, in part, trying to address the need for minimizing the need to have your phone out and be interacting with it with your hands. I applaud that goal. There is a distinct need for that.

    • @carrieonaccessibility
      @carrieonaccessibility  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      This is a great thread. The ARx is trying to address the external camera issue. However, most apps are not built or developed to use an external camera. They have to make that compatible. So this is a great step in the right direction. Hopefully as more accessibility apps and apps in general make their apps compatible with external cameras, the more this will be useful. :)

      It can be a bit more nuanced. Sure, the default use case is to have the ARx headset audio become the system audio output. In practice you are given the option to enable this USB audio output for that. So, you could use the headset camera & microphone and have the audio use whatever other audio output is configured (e.g., bluetooth speakers, phone speakers, etc.) I do have first hand experience with using the v1.5)

      @@carrieonaccessibility Hey thanks, it isn't launched yet, will have to wait for some time looks like. I wanted to suggest a topic for your next video. How Samsung is mistreating visually impaired users. First, they restrict Talkback updates to android updates, they introduce bugs in their Talkback, they don't offer any unique features for all of this. For example, Google will integrate Gemini in Talkback this year. Samsung's version doesn't have basic image description feature yet. They have stopped taking accessibility seriously in the race of AI.
