Awesome day Matt! Great day all round. Completely by change Karen and myself bumped into you whilst you were doing your bit at Canary Wharf! (yes, I'm the idiot in the purple hoodie looking like a complete twonk into the camera! Excellent video as always! As the Spencer Davis Group once sang ... "Keep on running!".
I’m sorry you ran nearly 10k in an hour and still had time for cut always at Woolwich?? That’s blown my mind! Wonderful edit and a huge achievement. Lovely to bump into you at the finish line too
Good to see you back Matt. I recently went on Crossrail to Abbey Wood. Special thanks to Abdi who showed me the immediate sights of the locale, to the right of the station there were 5 small shops, a pub and a single deck bus. To the left, lifts down to a large sainsburys. Despite the lacklustre surrounds the local populace were friendly to me Special thanks to Phil at Whitechapel Station who gave me directions, Whitechapel was teaming with people in contrast to Abbey Wood The architecture at Abbey Wood Station was tasteful in appropriately wood. Whitechapel was spectacular in polished steel. I found the lift signage at Whitechapel confusing, but was assisted by a nice customer service assistant. There were toilets at both of these stations. Lastly, the trains were wonderful
Sick day today and just watched Stansted Express (Sister lives at Harlow), C2C my old stomping ground growing up in Dagenham, now the Elizabeth line (first job in Whitechapel). Ive missed watching your videos Matt and congratulations on all the achievements over the last few years from all the way over in Bay of Plenty, New Zealand ❤
Awesome video and lovely to meet you on the day as well, really enjoyed the day on the Elizabeth Line... also need to take a look at North Woolwich and the site of Silvertown Stations as well.
It’s great to see the number of subscribers you’ve got now Mat 😃. And the number of views of this video 🎉🎉🎉. It’s great to see you back and running the London streets
Brilliant video Matt. I went to Abbey Wood on that day to catch the first purple train, and I think I saw you there while waiting in line but I wasn't 100% sure.
Matt! How lovely to see you - it feels like a long while...! I guess if you can see where you're going without glasses, rain might be a positive advantage when you're running, as there will be slightly fewer casual strollers about, and it'll highlight some of your muscles to your best advantage, as well as refresh other parts! I just hope it wasn't too cold, that's all!
Huh, I could've saved you the time and just told you that the train is faster than running the line. 😉 Jokes aside, great video and a great run. Glad you got there in time for the song and were eventually able to enjoy the train! I can't wait to ride when I go back to London.
i really enjoyed watching this one i cant wait till i can get myself into London and try the Elizabeth line out for myself as it looks amazing keep up the awesome work
The Elizabeth Line as it’s now officially opened will help improve better services for commuters coming from the West (West of England) and East (East of England). Have to say that these new stations do look really nice. And I hope that Bond Street station opens in October. And also the section between Stratford & Whitechapel is soon to open and to allow Elizabeth Line trains from Shenfield to run towards Heathrow Terminal 4, Heathrow Terminal 5 and Reading next year.
@@itsmattnelson I said to Traian that do you remember the receptionist at Cutters Yard? I think I found him TH-cam! I absolutely love your channel especially now that I work on the railway
I’m curious given how deep some of these stations are if it were possible to race someone from the surface entrance to a station to the surface entrance or another and be able to win
I’m sorry you ran nearly 10k in an hour and still had time for cut always at Woolwich?? That’s blown my mind! Wonderful edit and a huge achievement. Lovely to bump into you at the finish line too
🎶I only want to see you riding on the purple train🎶🕺
I can’t believe you ran so far
I can’t believe you did that it’s crazy!
3:01 I recognise that man on Geoff’s videos

Nice video, I jogged all the way down the District Line from South Kensington to Barking last year and got me there in just under 167 mins

Great video as always Matt!
2:58 looks like a fanboy in the background there.... ;-)
I saw you run past me in Salmon Lane AT AROUND 8-8.30ish - it suddenly clicked that you might be running the Elizabeth line on day 1!
An amazing run! Your cheerfulness is always fantastic to behold. So glad you got to ride on it eventually.
Great to see you back. As ever enjoying your unique perspective.
So there are two Ridgeways? 🤔 I only knew of the one from Avebury to Ivinghoe Beacon 🏃
Brilliant video Matt. I went to Abbey Wood on that day to catch the first purple train, and I think I saw you there while waiting in line but I wasn't 100% sure.
He's in the crowd in the background of Geoff's opening day video at Abbey Wood. I wondered why there was a guy in purple running kit.

Elizabeth Line
Did you film this on 29/05/22 bc I feel like I saw you outside Woolwich stn
Did you used to work for Cutters Yard? I used to get my haircut there and then the friendly receptionist left 🤣
Just spotted this - that was me! I left just as lockdown hit at 2020 ✂️

what does the gel help you do?
Will you try and run the line between Paddington and Reading
Why don't you come to Leeds (population 800 thousand) and run our tram network? Oh wait ...
Does anyone know if Matthew has a boyfriend?
First
