This imagery isn't too dark, yet it's sufficient to make you glance over your shoulder, as if catching sight of something lurking in the shadows. I appreciate Louise's rejection of the social conventions surrounding the playing, listening, and composition of music. Her boldness is a rarity in the music industry, where everything tends to be too secure and conventional, rendering much of the music uninteresting. What I am getting the most is this is a profound exploration of a woman's self-discovery in the studio and these songs will be timeless, I can't wait to read what people think in 20 years time. To the people who get it, I am glad to be part of the club with you.
Bought the deluxe cd, excellent. I didn't realise there was so many King Crimson band members involved with the album until I read the credits! Louise is the new Princess of Prog! Look forward to seeing/hearing how her work develops on the next album.
My favorite song off of Netherworld along with Spirit of the Forest. Vocally here you remind me strongly of Tori Amos, moments of Björk too in this song in particular. Captivating video! The psychedelic Goth-Prog queen ruling.
