Father Meeks, I only just found your TH-cam homilies this past weekend and have been listening to several each day. Your comments on current US culture and the abhorrent Abortion status are also mine. I have reflected on Love and Hate that concern these issues. I fear that I have come very close, and maybe crossed the line, between hating the action but loving the person. There are times when I have felt hatred for the politicians who are pushing us closer and closer to actions that will destroy our humanity and country as we know it. I have caught myself wishing I’ll of those who promote these actions and the hate grows stronger. One of your homilies talked about hating the sin but loving the sinner. God’s will is unfathomable , since we have only our very limited understanding as ignorant humans .Also when we have to conform with the rulings of corrupt world tyrants , as individuals it is not safe or wise to act out the will of God by publicly condemning criminality and injustice. We need to act by example , not by preaching to others how badly we feel they behave.
Sadly. We now live in a state (Wa) and Diocese that are mandating the vaccine. Our Bishop just issued a letter denying any exemptions because receiving the vax is for the good of all....he also confronted those Catholics refraining on a moral standing as a non-qualifier because we all participate in the use of fetal cell tainted drugs, cosmetics and other required vaccinations. Can anyone provide information on that claim? We are in a deadly battle. God help us!
