Rodtang looked like a gotdamn killing machine in this fight. Opponent is elite, absolutely badass high quality fighter but Rod was so sharp and so completely focused.

Totally agree bro, I seen him referee a different fight, and it ruined it for me too. He always wants to see a bar fight instead of a technical fight. 😂
Not just this referee, it’s every referee in One. They even issue yellow cards which I believe is a 10-20% purse deduction for the fighter. Can you imagine being a technical fighter like GSP, Wonderboy, Anderson or Jon Jones and every 30 seconds a referee warns you to fight.

He actually got in the way a couple of times. Didn't seem to allow much clinch work either, but I'm never quite sure what the Thai criteria are for breaking it.

Pechdam has fantastic defence, I love how quick he checks and has a tight strong high guard, probably what kept him from getting Ko’d from rodtang.

the referee is constantly messing with the natural flow of the fight and just a big distraction step away and let the two pros go at it. please sort that ref out ruining a great match
All referees in Thailand do that. It’s part of the fight and both fighters have fought over 200 times each in Thailand it’s natural for them.

Ref interrupted so many clinch knee strikes. I thought it said it was a Muy Thai fight? Dafuq. Reset inactivity or let them back up after a slip/knockdown since there's no ground/submissions, but holy fxck that ref was too involved & distracted the fighters focus

EDIT I just watched a fight between two kids who couldn't have been older than 10. And apparently a law was recently passed banning kids under 12 from fighting, because a 13-year-old died from a head kick KO.

The announcers were talking about Rodtang like he was dominating, but it looked to me like it was pretty even... Not sure what they and the judges were seeing exactly, other than backing up (Why would he want to let him walk in)
