I really love what they did.. they let us be attached for everyone and know the characters even those in the side of it.. and before they slowly went into the scifi stuff...
IKR !!! every side character was compelling .. mark's dad, sofia, kate, mr and mrs lacsamana ... the writing is just phenomenal
The only persons who had like little to no screentime was Ryan and Jessica
@@Onyxicality khyle only exist in their mobile phones
@@seph123 oh sht you're right
@@seph123lmao almost forgot khyle's existence in the game xD
The fact its relatable and many kilig moments and getting along with the characters. I need help its tooo much its getting sadder and sadder 😭😭
A game has never made me cry UNTIL THIS. This game better be played by some big TH-camrs BECAUSE IT DESERVES SO MUCH MORE
There’s so much movement in the game. Beautiful art and the culture… gods, I grew up in America as a Filipino-American, but at some point I lived back in the PHIL for about two years and attended high school there back before they added two more grades to the curriculum (compared to America, they didn’t have a 7th and 8th grade).
I don’t know if they were the best years of my life, but the game captured a sense of nostalgia or melancholy that has endured even after playing the game.
The way the story deals with grief, the way the characters evolve throughout the multiple timelines… I can’t stop thinking about it.
It also reminded me about a theme in the wonderful comedy audiodrama Midnight Burger: that for many, the Stages of Grief aren’t static. Some days you’ll feel like you’ve moved on. Other days, you’ll feel like you back on square one. But the important thing is to learn how to acknowledge that grief and to live regardless.
This is probably one of my favorite reviews for Until Then, thank you for bringing up the cultural part of the game, it’s why the game related to me so much and how I felt the way I did. Keep it up!
@@1leeek TYSM IM CRYING JUST READING YOUR COMMENT
@@Rayttentomatoes NO PROBLEM 😭🙏
i agree sm!! with so many other games and stories, there's kind of a degree of separation because they're either set in a different world, time, or place. but because it's set in 2010's manila, i connect with it so much more. everything about this game is so familiar and warm, even down to the background sounds. it makes the story feel so much more tangible. i feel so much more attached to the world and more devastated that we lose parts of it.
until then is my game of the year, this game was amazing and i loved this video talking about this game❤
i never cried to a game till THIS game came out, the amount of tears that was let out was insanity. i hold myself grateful to this game which could make me cry.
PEAK CINEMA
This game just might be my game of the year, truly. I got to the first ending the night before the anniversary of a friend's passing and I was an absolute mess with everything that went on. Once I saw that "Continue?" I couldn't help but hit yes. I wanted to change the results of that ending as much as Mark did. I ugly cried many times during this game, especially at the third, true ending. This game is beautiful. The music is beautiful. The characters are so lovable and relatable. I don't even need a sequel tbh. I would be happy if this became an animated series though.
It's still make me cry 😢😢😢 whenever I remember it
Dude I feel ya I haven't cried, like genuinely cried since TWDG Season 1
This is the trauma I didn't know I needed.
This game is like a Jjba episode made us love the characters then made us watch them die
you know when i was playing this game also doing voice over especially with Cathy scene my friends saw me getting emotional same goes with cathy they especially the last Gift for mark borja haha damn its so much emotion
@@corazonbaro2001 you got vids of your voiceover? 😮

Wow definitely interested in playing the game myself after this review. I’m shocked this video doesn’t have more views! It’s really well made and I just want to say that I hope you keep it up :)!!
thank you so much for the kind words!
I cried twice during my first playthrough as well. This game is really incredible
Twice? I cried like... 5 times or more. Esp when *spoiler* Mark started remembering memories of losing her in every universe. Just his hopelessness and sense of desperation the moment he realizes he was going to lose Cathy over and over again
Made me cry 7 times, genuinely a masterpiece
She’d some more tears during the video lol, it was very good! It really does encapsulate how meaningful the story is, I’m glad you had a similar experience to mine with this :)
love the pixel art style of the game. the whole game looks fire. also great high quality video. keep it up man
Thanks man! I appreciate your kind words!!❤
THIS IS ABSOLUTE CINEMA NOT GONNA LIE 😭
3:13 Jamie is LITERALLY ME fr
until then was an absolutely amazing experience. i only tend to stick to a few video games that i'm familiar with but i immediately knew i had to play until then after learning it was set in the philippines. im half filipino, so im glad got a ton of references but im sure there's equally as many that i missed.
i loved everything about this game but i do agree with your criticisms about the pacing and the sci-fi elements. for the pacing, i feel like it adds to the futility of the efforts of the characters to try and fix things again and again. the sci-fi stuff . . . it was definitely confusing, i still don't fully understand it. part of me thinks it's supposed to be that way to show that some things are beyond our control and maybe it wasn't supposed to be understood.
however !! i am equally curious to find out the actual reason on why things happened !!
@@megann1416the lack of explanation to the sci fi elements also tie into how both Mark and Nicole try desperately to find answers to their respective losses but ultimately came to acceptance that it didn’t really matter.
@@Rayttentomatoes i agree completely !! of course it would be satisfying to find out the why but accepting what happened and moving past it, it feels symbolic and right, a true turn of the page
They are made Me Cry 3 consecutive times not gonna lie it's worth it I'm hoping that this game will available on Android.
PEAK CINEMA!
The game was so emotional because we all could relates to it someway or another, but Until Then made me cry many times during the walkthrough on all loops ofc.
Real i cried so much
4:00 and it came out of no where. It was a bit jarring.
SPOILER: The only thing I didn't like that much was the True Ending
Wishing for a sequel. Hope Nicole and Mark still end up as a couple.
Well explained!
