@@BBWahoo For pokemon, gen 9 is a masterpiece in graphics. Oh where are the little goblins screeching "graphics dont matter" that was the motto of pokemon fans in 2009, when pokemon was 5 generations behind in technical?
@@Terapagos3000 A masterpiece if you have cataracts maybe. Also 2009 is literally when all the highest rated games in the series came out. Generations 2-5's visuals have held up incredibly well unlike the 3D games that still look like hot garbage.
As you can see from the video, the lag was already worse than it was in the final product(and this is running on supposedly better hardware). This also being before the art pass was completed would suggest it got even worse before the end of development. Sacrificing the rendering and compressing the textures was likely one of the few things they could do before release without tearing the entire engine out and rebuilding the game from scratch. In all honesty this just speaks to the lack of time and inexperience whoever programmed the back end for these games had.

They're using all the in-house dev teams split into two. One is doing the main continuity for new gen games; S&V and the other is doing spin-off; PLA. They probably asked ILCA in advanced to make BDSP in-case players didn't like the FF7 remake turned based gameplay for PLA which they reverted midway development thankfully. Both open world-ish games have weird bugs on their own but S&V shows a lot of it, not saying COVID as an excuse but I think S&V would have been released early if it weren't for it.
The graphics are good, they're good!!! What the hell

Funny.
The staraptor statue is an egg in the beta.
2019!!!!! They took 3 years to drop this turd...
For those who say its the siwtch's fault that the game looks the way it does: have you ever seen a finnished switch game before?
Mesagoza was part of the open world? Or there is load screen like in the final game?
Crazy how the beta looks visually superior to the full release 😂
Yeah, at least the disgusting textures are not present lol
Crunch, crunch, crunch...Nintendo is evil
It's not "cRaZy", it's nintendo's consoles being 3 generations behind

Do the walls normally not have collision, or did you disable it?
They don't have collision
does the beta game have a first person camera option or did you add that yourself?
I think it's a early version of the selfie function hiding by the button prompts
You sure this beta wasnt a horror game?
Is this build really from 2019 ? Because that's before sword and shield?

The uploader said on a different video that this build is from 2021 but the date is 2019 because they needed it to be for PLA

And they've always started the generations before the latest even released, they made mega evolutions in 2009
@D-vb Thankfully? I would've loved real time combat finally
