Hi! Happy new year! I am wondering, when making a scrap project such as a blanket out of wool how would you care for the item? It would be fairly large to dry flat, and I don’t have a set up for an outside clothesline. Thank you!
Yes it can be a pain getting large woollen items dry. Rather than soaking the whole thing, I would spot clean any stains, and steam cleaning with a handheld steamer (or steam iron) is also an option. You could also hang it over an indoors clothes airer, and if you have a dehumidifier, then use that to dry it.
Happy New Year, Anushka! May it be healthy, creative and positive. Your Log Cabin blanket is really stunning, wow. I'm working on socks! I have a few wips rolling over into 2023 so I would love to wip along with the Crimson Stitchery.
Happy new year from Tasmania. I achieved my 2022 knit goal of a sock all by myself ( with 15 mins spare) I used thick scraps and made it a sock for Santa so only needed one. Now it’s summer and I’ll try one or two in 4 ply. I’ve only used 8 ply and thicker so far. My goal of a jumper by New Years has been postponed until end of February for my birthday. It’s taken me over a year and it’s very basic but I’ve only been knitting 2 years. I love your log cabin blanket😊
Great to see you again. I hope 2023 keeps you healthy! Would love to do a WIP along. I'm predominantly on Ravelry. Your blanket turned out lovely, and I might have to give your Twister Lolly socks a try. I've FINALLY gotten the hang of knitting socks!
Happy new year! I was wondering about the pink blob! I saw a few videos back that you finished it, but I was wondering about it, like, how did it go with the florals in the cuff and how’s the sleeve? ☺️
A WIP along sounds great! I’m trying to finish one today before 2022 ends (I’m in Western Canada so still have all day LOL) and then two lingering wips to go!! I really love your finished blanket! It turned out beautifully. Will keep it in mind next time I’m looking for a scrap blanket pattern. Happy New Year 🎉
I think a WIP along would be a good way forward for the coming year. For myself, I would prefer Instagram as a way of showing our finished objects or WIPs. I love your knitted blanket, I did wonder if I had missed an episode where you had shown this. Have a Happy New Year.

@@TheCrimsonStitchery Thank you so much! I was fearful to start a blanket with wool, but I was encouraged to see your beautiful project.
Your scrap blanket is an absolute treasure ❤
I would love another wip along!! And so glad that you are feeling better now. Looking forward to the new year and hopefully it's less weird.
I'd love another wipalong! The last one really motivated me to finish some longstanding wips (but I still have a fair few left!)
I love the scrap blanket and your dress looks fab!
