Jannyuary is going to be epic! I will enjoy watching all of you begin your journey in WOLAS. The Book That Wouldn't Burn is an excellent entry point into Mark Lawrence's books -- great choice! And, of course, many thanks for including Return to Edan in your reading plans, Jake. It would be a great honor for me to sign your copies of the trilogy if I end up attending ICFA. I will definitely let you know. My best wishes for all your reads not only for January, but also for all of 2025!
@@PhilipChaseTheBestofFantasy it's such an exciting way to kick off the new year with all these great books! And about ICFA... I'm hearing there is a chance 😁
The Janny-uary fomo is really getting to me hahaha, hope you all have a blast! And can't wait to hear your thoughts on The Book that Wouldn't Burn, especially with it being your first Lawrence. I think it is most unlike his other series in tone and style, but hopefully you click with all of it if you continue your journey through his works. Happy reading!! 🤩
Crazy that 2025 is already upon us! Excited for everyone who is starting Curse of the Mistwraith. I'm actually going to start book 4 today as my in bed book.
Looking good on that January TBR. I’m reading some Janny Wurts and Phillip Chase in January as well. Have a good month, and I’ll keep an eye out for your videos on all these tales.
STACKED TBR brother! Excited for our readalong! I'm reading Black Mantle by Andrew Watson, Assassins Apprentice, Eluthienn, and Court of the Mistwraith!
Heck yes, let's bring on Jannyuary! Of course I'm rereading Mistwraith with y'all from day 1 and being as much part of the discussion as I possibly can. I figure I'll also read Some Desperate Glory by Emily Tesh and Beyond Redemption by Michael R Fletcher. The rest I figure will be mood reads.
Emphatic hand gestures are, more often than not, an effective way of conveying our level of enthusiasm when words escape us😁 I can definitely see how stoked you are to continue on your Janny Wurts journey. I've never read anything by her, she's on my tbr next year for sure. I'm currently reading Wolves by D. J. Molles-I had this on my shelf for a while until I read someones review "...mix of The Gunslinger, The Seven Samurai and a little Mad Max/The Road mash up." Needless to say that made me pick it up😂 I'm only 35 pages in but I'm liking it so far. Also started reading Crooked House by Agatha Christie - If you've seen the movie Knives Out, it was loosely based on this story, enjoying it.
You've got quite a month ahead of you! I'm devoting the first half of 2025 to catching up on Sci-Fi I've been sleeping on. I'll be reading the first six Dune novels (finally lol), the Red Rising trilogy, and Sun Eater. Very excited, as I've been reading exclusively fantasy for the last few years. Happy reading!
You have a stack month, Jake! Excited for the Jannyuary (and beyond) WoLaS buddy read... and a return to Booktube after my much-needed hiatus. - Cheers
Hi Jake, I just finished up the Mortal Techniques series by Rob J. Hayes. So now I'm starting Paternus Trilogy by Dyrk Ashton. Your reading month is looking amazing. I'm curious about your review Curse of the Mistwraith. So looking forward to that. Enjoy!
This is a great selection of books to read, and I hope it will fulfill your expectations. I have read We Are the Dead, Assassin's Apprentice, and Kushiel's Dart. So far, they have been great for me.😀👍

Excited to start the Edan Trilogy and the Wars of Light and Shadow Series this year. Also want to finish the Saga of the Forgotten Warrior by Larry Correia, which I highly recommend.
