Hey I’m biggest fan I saw you at monster jam world finals in pit party by the merchandise by the pictures in truck I took a picture with you it was me and my mom and dad
Man it was cool meeting ya during the pit party, thanks for the sticker! Overall was a great event, cried during Zack’s win. Tyler deserved it in my eyes bc of the clock usage along with his banger run. Ryan deserved that podium for sure tho, awesome stuff overall.
@@CasualPrawnOneSixFive we haven’t had an independent win a world finals, heck he’s one of only two independents to ever win a racing championship, every other racing champion was a feld driver, so it’s a pretty big deal in the monster truck industry
This way was DEFINITELY BETTER than last year. Sad that I didn’t go despite living an hour away from LA. Also, I can’t believe Linsey Read is retiring. 😢
World Finals this year was really good. But I think we need to go back to 2 days. World Finals 21's freestyle track looked and felt like an old Vegas freestyle track(with the center being almost open and the sides being set for triple combos). I'd give it a 4 out of 5 myself mostly since the judging, while a bit low, was pretty fair in the final ranking. Great return video Jackson!
We went to the World Finals in Nashville last year, & I can relate to the sound of your voice as you describe freestyle this year. Last year, the weather put a similar hinderance on the event for us. Initially, I felt what you are trying to express. You don't want to be overly critical, but it didn't live up to what it could have been. For our trip, I can say we built it up so much leading up to it, spent so much money, and had everything planned out seemingly perfectly. Immediately after, I focused on the weather changing the schedule, eliminating some skills runs, limiting the stunt, & most of the main drivers not being available during the pit party. However, after a year of contemplation, the parts that felt disappointing have faded while the high points stick out. Qualifying & racing were amazing. The drivers who were available in the pit party were kind and accepting. Most of all, I'm grateful for the memories we created in what was probably a once in a lifetime experience for us. I think after some time, you will reflect more positively on the entirety of it all. At least I hope you do. I will always appreciate the fact that we had the opportunity to enjoy it at all. Thanks for all you do sharing the monster truck world with us. Much love brother!
Great review Jackson! I had a great time at the World Finals, and even though freestyle suffered from either truck breakage or early rollovers, I'm usually more excited about the racing when it's the World Finals anyway. For freestyle, this track reminded me of how some of the earlier World Finals tracks were in Vegas, with all the big obstacles, where it was more about survival on the course just to make it through the whole time. It was great meeting at the Awards Ceremony too!
Phenomenal review! I think having a general opinion and a critical opinion is very smart. On one hand, freestyle was mid, but on the other hand, it was your very first World Finals in person, so every memory is something to cherish.
So true, I attended my first world finals in 2018 in Vegas on the freestyle show, while the competition was lackluster to put it lightly, the fact that I still went to a world finals in Vegas is something I still hold dear
Agree with your statement at the end Jackson. Id say the racing style made freestyle cramped. Didn't allow driver too get big air as they used too. I want them too bring back 2 day shows. It allowed you too meet more of the drivers and you didn't know what the freestyle layout would be.
I think the track could’ve worked, I feel like the make shift ramps they made were the big ones that ruined a lot of trucks on the blue side of the stadium as well as the backflip ramps just murdering the trucks
My parents, my aunt and myself all had a watch party over the WF TH-cam live stream. We were all clapping and cheering for Zack Frickin’ Garner. Epic racing and an awesome memory.
This World Finals was the best us fans have had since 2019! Racing arguably had to be one of the best Racing Competitions in World Finals history with the anticipation, excitement, and awesome mind blowing runs! Zack Garner deserved this win for Team Over Bored and the emotions with him and his father Jamey Garner is what made this World Finals awesome! Two Skills and High Jump was really awesome! My only flaws with this World Finals is Freestyle not being the best and honestly Monster Jam should bring back the two days for this event like it should be with two separate track designs for Racing and Freestyle. No disrespect to Tyler Menniga but Ryan Anderson definitely deserved the World Finals Freestyle Championship. Not being biased or favoritism towards Ryan Anderson but he put down a Freestyle run that includes everything a Freestyle run should be!
Well, I'll retort that with the fact that Tyler menninga not only filled the clock fully, which definitely had an impact in the latter half of the freestyle competition so Ryan leaving 12 seconds had a factor in that final decision. Also, that makeshift backflip tyler did off the side of the mountain was an entirely unique wow factor and overall just had the better moves. Both runs were stellar, but Tyler squeaks it out because of them two things.
Thank you for this fantastic breakdown. Our favorite part was the addition of the LCQ! We can only hope they let that aspect grow & open the door to more independents to have a "chance". This will prove the crowning of a true world champion each year.
I honestly believe that this was one of the best world finals we’ve had in a long time, despite freestyle being a truck killer, this world finals was absolutely incredible
I really wish they’d run the World Finals at Atlanta Motor Speedway or another speedway where they’d have ample room for a creative racing course and a variety of unique and well spaced out freestyle obstacles. The racing here was outstanding but it came at the cost of freestyle.
I'm proud of Zack Garner winning racing. He's worked hard to get to where he is and it all paid off. And seeing Zack's father Jamey Garner hugging him was SO heartwarming. As for the rest, seeing the debut of Sparkle Smash was awesome and seeing the Fortnite Truck was quite a surprise. Seems like it was a way to promote Fortnite Chapter 5, Season 3. The design was awesome, based on the Behemoth SUV and demolishing the BattleBus was awesome. Freestyle did bite the trucks a lot but I'm happy Tyler Menninga won Freestyle. He's been dominate throughout the season and year and all of that paid off, making him the new Freestyle Champion.
Seeing Jamey Garner cry on the livestream was absolutely beautiful as the shock in his eyes as the finals went and the tears of joy on Jamey as he hugged Zack was beautiful and choked me up as well as a Hoosier 🌽🕳️🏎️
Honestly, I thought this world finals was great. I feel like if it wasn’t for freestyle, this could’ve been a perfect event and it was great meeting you at the pit party. If you don’t remember me, I was the one with the El Toro shirt and had the sign.

I’m so glad that Zack garner won his first monster jam world finals in his career he my second favorite monster truck and I saw him at Nashville Tennessee world finals but I was sad that he didn’t make the world finals
There is only one track layout that is proven to provide a great product for one-day world finals shows and that is Vegas Style. For tracks that have the space to do such, that should be the go-to. Maybe even throwback tracks with some modern aspects(backflip ramps, skills-compatible ramps) could be grounds for a great show.
Vegas style is the way it works best as a one day show and there’s only one venue that can have that (Glendale) and if they do it more or less similar too Orlando of 2022 on the freestyle show that year, which was similar to I’d say 2010-2013, we absolutely could get a great one day world finals with all four competitions with a modern version of Vegas style
It was cool to meet you, but I was a little disappointed in the fact that it seemed a friend walked up as I was initially introducing myself so you kind of brushed me off, but I understand there was a lot going on, I would have just liked to talk to you a moment longer is all As for the event, it was my first world finals, and was a 2 year old me’s dream come true, a truly fantastic experience
I guess this style is a better racing track, than it is for freestyle. Since everyone apart from 2-3 drivers didn’t get to complete their freestyle run
IDK if it's just me but, since 2019 I've kept up with the world finals modernly and every year to me it just gets more childish and dumb. I've been thinking and I'm officially done with monster jam! Occasionally I will upload a video on my channel but it's not gonna be modern monster jam I can tell you...
The fact that the sparkle smash stunt that was so hyped up was just a less impressive version of the Mr Destruction stunt from over 20 years ago is just sad. As someone who used to be a diehard fan in the 2000s but has only casually kept up since 2013 or so, it’s really sad to see how much of a fall from grace this sport has had.
