His arrogance is the reason that he's my favorite "villain". I put that in quotations because when it comes down to it. He's not that bad of a person. He puts his people in Latveria first and is even Godfather to Reed Richards daughter. Like he legitimately loves and cares for her and she loves him. Calling him uncle Doom and kissing him on the cheek and everything. Even when he's about to kill Reed he says "Don't worry about your kids, I will take care of them. They will be under my protection. You have my word". It makes him such an interesting character and so entertaining. He's arrogant to the point that it's so funny. Just the way he talks and insults people is so entertaining to me
I love how Dr Doom and Reed Richards abilities balance each other out. Reed Richards might be smarter but Dr. doom knows magic. Something that Reed Richards admitted that he can't wrap his head around because it goes against everything he knows about science

He is a sorcerer, he is a genius, he is an inventor, he is a tactician and a cunning fighter. He is a combination of Stark's ingeunity, Reed's intellect and Strange's mastery of the mystical arts. His origin is NOT the same as the Fantastic Four contrary to popular belief caused by those horrendous movies, and because of that, might warrant a standalone origin movie just to undo the damage caused.
He's the most versatile, intelligent and indomitable villain in all of Marvel. Fools hear his name and dare to oppose him ... the rest cower in fear.
The reason Doom is always stealing the Silver surfer's powers is because he doesn't fully understand the summer time act of surfing so him stealing Silver surfer's powers is just him going surfing on a hot summer day

Doom is like one of those characters that is the underrated class, with max level in all of his subclasses, with legendary armor and weapons exclusive to his class, with all of his buffs and resistances upgraded and active before every battle.
And yet there are mongrels that think Doom is a chump without prep, when you’ve perfectly summed him up suggesting otherwise.
Charles Magnus he is underrated because people see him get beat by the fantastic 4 but fail to realize that reed richard is one of the smartest mortals in the universe alongside Tony, Bruce, Xavier, and Doom himself. He literally knows magic and technology on par with iron man. He’s actually really cool

Though, there is some proof that Doom is right in believing he needs to rule the world to bring peace and stability. The Panther God of Wakanda sees into all realities and the only peaceful future he saw was lead by Doom.

My favorite thing about Doom is how easily he can just level up to get stronger in whatever way he needs.
You could be any hero/villain/alien/god, and Doom will just pull up like "Yep, I'm even better than before! I'm still the king!"
I forgot what run it was, but I remember the image of Doom with the eye of agamoto, the iron fist, and a bunch of other power ups. Like he just decided to grind off screen and took them for himself with no problem.

Also, if an artist draws him correctly, he is a large man in a large suit of armor making him physically imposing to characters up to the size of Terax and the Thing. If written correctly, nothing less than a team level threat on the level of Loki. Individual hero’s should never be a threat.

When I was a kid and reading Secret Wars the first time, I Never forgot how the good doctor told Enchantress off over fixing his face. Doom is a man's man. From right there I realized how interesting of a character he is. I've been a Doom Fan ever since.
It was Wizard magazine that so perfectly captured the essence of Doom when stating, "If you want to know why Doom is objectively the most qualified person to conquer and unite the world under his dominion, just ask him." The concept of failure is categorically alien to Doom. Doom has only ever known delays to his triumph and scoffs at the presumption of Thanos, for only Doom is inevitable.
The Marquis of Death stuff never made sense to me: your heart is stone and your blood is acid. Action is impossible no matter what your willpower is.

But if you simplify Dragon Ball it's pretty straightforward, it just blunt force, speed & energy blast feats (for the most part). They're very powerful characters, but it's still tame enough that almost anyone can understand their ability.

Whenever or however he’s “defeated” in the MCU, I hope they don’t do the typical MCU thing and make him a one off villain...he’s gonna need to be a Thanos level threat but I would like to see him become neutral after he’s dealt with, rather than killing him off

Death Battle didn't go into the territory of how powerful Darth Vader REALLY is either. He is surprisingly powerful enough to solo the Fairy Tail-verse. But of course Doctor Doom is still leagues above him.
RedDusk369 It depends on where you put the Fairy Tail universe, and what characters you use. I mean some of them have some pretty good Hax. I’m pretty sure Sting could eat a lightsaber blade.
@@marxjester9802 Yeah but Vader with the force has some pretty insane abilities. Like being able to stop someone's heart or being able to melt instantly Mandalorion Iron just by getting even more pissed off than he usually is. This is a crazy feat because Mandalorion Iron is durable enough to take hits from a lightsaber. Also before he became Darth Vader and was Anakin Skywalker and fought Count Dooku in Revenge of the Sith, Dooku stated that Anakin was striking with the force of a meteor, making them at least city level striking power. And those are just examples of how capable Jedis' & Siths' REALLY are with the force.

Doom is pretty amazing until the writers decide to make him not amazing or decide Sue Storm is more amazing, then we see her beat him up without her powers. So then later on we say this comic shows how strong Sue is. Shmmeeee, let just chalk up bad fan boy writing or plot devices as they are. A normal man beating up an experienced fighter on the super soldier formula would be an example.

Right before Victor swiped the original Beyonder’s power he carved up Klaw and when a stressed Galactus converted New Ta to energy to feed, Doom redirected that energy to himself and used it to fight the Beyonder.

Batman's only unbeatable in stories where the writers don't know what to do with him. That's why some of his best stories involve him getting wrecked at some point or another. They display his humanity. How out of his league he should be in the wider DC universe, and yet how nobody can do the things he can do specifically for that reason.
I refer you to his earlier events, like Knightfall or those fucking awesome The Dark Knight Returns movies to show you exactly what I mean.
But even in this later stuff, Batman has never been unbeatable. Just really smart. All that stuff about beating basically the creator of the known Universe? Yeah, Batman set it up so they even had a chance, if slim as hell. Batman isn't going around manhandling people, he's just being a really smart human being.
The Batman Who Laughs is basically the same thing. He's surrounded by versions of Batman that couldn't hack it being *just* human. They all had to somehow escape being just a guy. The Batman Who Laughs killed all of the relevant heroes on his world just by being a really smart, skilled dude. He took out the most powerful ones while they still trusted him (like Superman), and took the rest out I guess by just being a filthy rich master ninja who's gone off the wagon for killing, and started finally tearing throats out. He's fun as hell. Then the evil Bat-God started telling him shit n' showing him shit. That's where I might understand if you think he's got that 'bat-wank' going on, but unfortunately they kinda just turned him into a convenient expositor of relevant information until his solo series, which is also pretty great.
That being said, yeah no, Dr. Doom would grind Batman into the dirt 9/10 times. 'Evil Batman' is reeeeeeeeeeally underselling him. He's just too big a player.

How powerful is Doom? Story goes, many years ago, Marvel editors decided they were going to retcon away some Doom's powers. Doom reached out of the page, and rewrote the story arc into a buff. DC Comics still exists because Dr. Doom might want to use some of their characters some day. His super power is best described as "whatever you can do I already did do better" with a dash of "I don't kill you because you don't threaten me. You serve me despite not even knowing you do. I already own you."
I am fully convinced Kevin Feige and Jon Favreau are both Doombots. RDJ might be too. Doom is kinda like Saitama--whatever you've got that he CANNOT POSSIBLY BEAT, he curb stomps your shit and laughs in your face.
He just wins and no one can do a damn thing about it.
