Thanks for the review Jeff. I have just over 15 hrs on my EC300 and love it!! Got lots of your products on there already too! Glad to hear the ECU mapping has a bit more torque too.
That’s such a fun trail, especially the rocky ones above it. But you’re moving faster than i do LOL Also, we need to up your GoPro game. Let me know if you need help. I’ll work for parts (or even discounts) 😁
@@lostinpa-dadenduro7555 yes i think it requires premix from the kits that i have seen, which i prefer i dont want to rely on a oil pump id rather rely on myself haha
I just bought a 2022 Gas Gas, and I have plenty of time on KTM Brembos. These Brake Tech components feel very good to me. I wouldn't let it be a deal breaker at all. You ain't Billy Bolt.
Great bikes, braketec front brake is very poor, swap for Brembo master cylinder and calliper, keep hose, tried Brembo pads, a little better performance, but not much. Clutch and ignition covers will rot as no paint or anodising, ignition worst, swap to Husqvarna cover. Very torquey motor, hard to stall. I have a 250, engine spins more freely.
Ol’ Jeff is moving at a pretty good clip to be on a single track ledge of a mountain.

Sounds Sweet Jeff. Glad to see you out and about on the bike. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Great riding! You must trust the bike to ride quick on mountian edge with snow. Much respect. 💪😃
The mapping is the same as KTM/Husky - all TPIs share the same maps. The Gas Gas does have a lighter flywheel and different stator however.
I rode Enduros from back in the 70s and 80s. Listening to the bike it sounds so much more crisp and clean. I would love to have a modern bike.
Life is very short. Write the check and get er done.
I once had an older 2013 GG EC300 and that motor was a torquemeister.
Thanks Jeff, loving my 22 ec300 in South Africa
Love the footage. Thanks for posting.

Everyone seems to have the same opinion on the ec300 having better mapping
But i think ill wait for the TBI 👌🏻 TPI just doesnt do it for me
What will the TBI do? Will it require premix?

I’m looking at a 2022 Husky and my only reservation is the BrakTec brakes and clutch. I really wish they’d put Brembos on the Husky’s as well.

The braktec components are actually pretty good. They're a lot better than the magura stuff I used on a friend's 2020 te 300
Looks like the rear break pads are getting worn down fast👍🏼
I've noticed the Braktec clutch on my 21 EC300 is a lot better than my buddies Magura clutch on his TE300
The piston is a different size and gives it better feel.
Thanks Jeff great review👍🇬🇧
Looks like pipestone.. Great review!
I just bought a 22 gg ec 250 how you make it more gruntier? Because you say it makes it easier to ride I also put a rekluse on it
Thanks for the informative review!
You're welcome.
excellent video Jeff, love it!
Jeff , what makes the biggest difference between brake setups ? .Is it piston ratios ,flex in calipers and hoses or combo of all ? Thanks
Sounds like the idle speed is set correctly from the factory on this one.
Wow! You sure can lug that bike for a 2 stroke. Looks fun!
I increase the grunt on all of my builds. It makes them much easier to ride.
Hi Jeff, that trail looks great, can you tell me the name of it?
Captain jacks
Pretty sure the GG also has a heavier flywheel than the KTM version. That could contribute to more low end torque.
A heavier flywheel helps to ease stalling and smooths out power pulses when slower going over technical trail sections.
Yes it does. And a better wound stator. I saw a vid where a dude took off the covers between the GasGas and KTM to find differences.
GG actually has a lighter flywheel. Same mapping though as all the other TPIs.
Is the ex300 engine/tune any different from the ec300?
No

Great video
New bikes made by KTM seem to be a bit quieter. Wish my older KTM was quieter. If I was in the market this bike would be my choice.
I bleed orange
Now you can bleed red!
