I have to say that he did cut his own throat at the start as his attitude wasn't good enough. This wasn't just for us, but everywhere he went, it seemed. However, he seems to have got his head right for quite a while now, and I, too, think he should have already been used much more than he has. The case is especially true now that our defence is as thin as tissue paper in terms of the availability of players. Let's hope Ange can use him as cover at least in the league and give him starts in the various cup games we have coming up.
Djed to start again on Thursday! He has a different skill set from Udogie / Porro. I think he would’ve started a few weeks back if he didn’t get injured.
A great win, but I hope Ange finally sees that Spence deserves far more minutes than he has gotten, it is criminal that that was his first ever PL start.
Archie is amazing. His game intelligence is incredible for his age and along with his technique ability… imagine him and Bellingham in England team in future years
This Tottenham side needs Spence and his direct running. The amount of flicks and no look passes the team attempted (and failed) against Rangers was embarrassing. We need someone who can bring the ball out from the back and unsettle defences with pace and directness. Absolute peach of an assist too.
We really needed that result. I know the manager said we should be aiming higher but just for now I would really be happy with a win in the Carebau Cup. Shows what a good player Darren 'Sicknote' Anderton was to hold the assists record (I didn't know that) considering how many injuries he had. Thursday is huge for us imo C.O.Y.S! Cheers Ali.

Great display all round especially Dom, Djed, Pape, Lucas and Radu. Let alone Archie Gray. When Pedro came on we appeared defensively open again down that side. I do feel for all his passion and attacking play he is just not a good defensive wing back. Goes very narrow and allows wingers to backpedal him. Other than that it was clear what the potential of this side will be given time. Phenomenal

About Djed, I d'like to know why Ange waited so long before giving him his opportunity to play, cause when he played away at Coventry he saved us and saved Ange's ass... About Levy, I'm definitely not a fan of his, but he's better than an American investment fund, a Russian oligarch or an Arab state. In light of this it's hardly surprising that there is little desire to remove Ange coming from within the club.
All I heard was the Levy song , nothing about Ange . If we can kick on from this result than great but we’ve all been here before, hence the reservation.
I thought this one would merit a sigh and a shrug of the shoulders.. good to see the youthful enthusiasm showing their worth. The levy kulu chanting was so clear on the Tele 👏👏👏
Hey Ali, I though Djed was great, no jitters, very direct and attacking, tenacious. A good fit for anges team. And Bergvall was great too, calm, cheeky, kept opposition away from the ball.
Credit where credit is due Alasdair. Archie gray is going to be a superb footballer for us. And Bergvall who I,ve been not too impressed with so far , has suddenly started to look like he is getting to grips with the pace of the Premier league. Gray is there already, Bergvall still has to go up a gear yet. But still very impressive. Mustn't get away though Thursday we need another strong 90 minute performance
I don't get why Kulu gets put into the end of that chant just for a rhyme. Should end with 'all he cares about is making money' or 'all I care about is Tottenham FC', or something along those lines...
Bournemouth was a narrow defeat, but could and should have been a 4/5 -0 hammering. It was a truly abysmal performance as was Ipswich, as was Fulham, as was Palace. Just because they were narrow defeats doesn’t gloss over those atrocious performances. The football is so inconsistent even with a full team. Question marks are very much still on the manager.
@@jonzygon391how is coulda woulda shoulda facts? The fact is the game result. Using that logic, how many games have we had with 10 shots on target and only one or two goals. There’s been half a dozen of those games at least. Everyone complained about our finishing for the first 10 games of the season.
Now I know how that Newcastle team felt when they beat us 6-1. That is without a doubt the worst premier league team I've ever seen (too young to really remember Derby). COYS
Ali! I don’t see any reason to contemplate management changes to the club. Our problem is the inconsistency in our performance and that has been there since the season began if we could shake that off we will be back to winning games and trophies
Thanks Ali. You’re commentary is just not what I needed. There are too many negative Nellies out there and it’s hard to get some balanced opinions. The thing I liked about Djed’s performance was the speed at which he would come back to cover. Man, his long strides can eat up the metres!
@@orinorio1 Destiny and Bissouma have had ups and downs. Spence is a right back/wing back who can deputise for LB. Not sure we want to start him there if Destiny is fit. Porro needs to up his defensive play,
I wonder if Djeds so called bad attitude is just him being laid back as Maddison said, I’m laid back but when that whistle goes I put 110 in albeit at a VERY low standard 😂
With regard to the comparison with the Newcastle experience, and to be fair to the Saints, at least their goalie didn't hide in the dressing room for the second half.
Been waiting all season for Spence to get a game. Don’t know what Ange had against him. Yet another bad judgment call. Hopefully we will see more of him now.
Unpopular opinion.. But both sets if supporters were bobbins.. The home fans with thier "get out of my club" sign to thr nan that took them out the championship and away fans for aimoly not being able to enjoy a win without moaing about levy... Levels of entitlement these days amaze me.. Send em back to the Sugar years till they learn o be humble
It's nothing to do with entitlement, it's about consistently. You think every week that we lose they can sing Levy Out, but if we win a game then they should put it on hold? Hope you're not as fickle as you want everyone else to be.
“Audere est facere” = Ange is trying to implement an entire DNA philosophy throughout the footballing side when will also run throughout the academy. This is a massive rebuild ….. look at Man City atm - it’s imploded overnight! The injuries have seriously highlighted the need for 2-3 good/solid, top level premier league players that will add quality and depth to our first team squad. “To dare is to do” That’s down to Levy. Personally - I’ve not been disappointed by our business in recent times (from an FFP) plus green sustainability perspective in the local area. Levy has paid up a number of players to leave, and lost a lot! Replaced the whole scouting department as a result. Surly though….FFP is all good. Say f*uck it, I’m throwing £250m into the first team. If Tottenham get success….Levy will easily get the £3b value he’s holding out for!
What about the second hall. Business as usual. So Ange can game manage when 5 nil up and 11 squad injuries in the medical room?! Why cant he game manage during other scenarios? I am still Ange in , Levy out.

Give the youths a chance and they do the simplest things for everyone, they listen compared to other players who don’t or take the extra touch’ 😊
Mate they are both 18 yr olds .
I must say even though the recent performances have been far from amazing but Radu Dragusin has been a real shining light for me.
Of people cannot see that Archie Gray is a star in the making they don't deserve to watch football! The kids unreal
I don't get why Kulu gets put into the end of that chant just for a rhyme. Should end with 'all he cares about is making money' or 'all I care about is Tottenham FC', or something along those lines...
Sarr was my man of the match 💯! Easy decision
Agreed but that is facts something Ange lovers don’t like to listen to.
@@jonzygon391how is coulda woulda shoulda facts? The fact is the game result. Using that logic, how many games have we had with 10 shots on target and only one or two goals. There’s been half a dozen of those games at least. Everyone complained about our finishing for the first 10 games of the season.
If someone doesn't get Archie Gray then I question their validity of any football opinions they have lol
Good win alasdair, but are the team going to do what they did after the man city game ?.
I did a poll on facebook after last weekends game on the 1882 group and it was showing 88% Ange in as of yesterday morning with over 1100 votes.
Definitely big Ange in
Now I know how that Newcastle team felt when they beat us 6-1.
Conte was 1000% RIGHT.
31:54 there is no Dana/6s/8s only Zuul/Angeball 👻⚽
Winning Way, singular.
I like the nice sighs, and not the uhhhhh sighs haha
Thanks Ali. You’re commentary is just not what I needed. There are too many negative Nellies out there and it’s hard to get some balanced opinions. The thing I liked about Djed’s performance was the speed at which he would come back to cover. Man, his long strides can eat up the metres!
Watch spence be benched next game
Fingers cross Destiny isn't fit enough to play
@@orinorio1 Destiny and Bissouma have had ups and downs. Spence is a right back/wing back who can deputise for LB. Not sure we want to start him there if Destiny is fit. Porro needs to up his defensive play,
If he isn't injured.. hopefully he's not ..
Spence was brill. He needs to be first choice, so skilful on the ball and dribbled more than B Johnson, who is a winger🤦🏻♂️
@@orinorio1 Huh? Spence should be at RB. He and Desitny are our best fullbacks.
I wonder if Djeds so called bad attitude is just him being laid back as Maddison said, I’m laid back but when that whistle goes I put 110 in albeit at a VERY low standard 😂
It started when Sugar became a director... he brought in Graham and then Spurs started doing everything on the cheap
Ali was it last summer you did a pilgrimage to Anges childhood town?
October last year. A holiday that was coincidentally booked before he was appointed.
Juxtaposition is a word that should be banned.
The J word. 😮
Yes please. Went to art college and everything HAD to be explained as a juxtaposition. Hate it. And now it infiltrates spurs
It was a great game. .. But it wont last. We have big games coming soon .Man Uu in the cup. And liverpool .
😢😢😢😢😭
Unpopular opinion.. But both sets if supporters were bobbins.. The home fans with thier "get out of my club" sign to thr nan that took them out the championship and away fans for aimoly not being able to enjoy a win without moaing about levy... Levels of entitlement these days amaze me.. Send em back to the Sugar years till they learn o be humble
It's nothing to do with entitlement, it's about consistently. You think every week that we lose they can sing Levy Out, but if we win a game then they should put it on hold? Hope you're not as fickle as you want everyone else to be.
Lee is not too happy that you took the days off. Lol
Yeah A.G , Spurs lose small and win big , that explains the G.D . What is worrying is the sequence , W8 D2 L7 , what comes next ?
The fickleness of our fanbase is scary...tbf i guess most fanbases r the same
It's the young uns. They havent suffered thru the 90s and early 2000s. If they had, expectations would be lower😅
Spurs are like a box of chocolates , you never know what you’re gonna get .
Let’s hope we beat the Forest chumps on Boxing Day
“Audere est facere” = Ange is trying to implement an entire DNA philosophy throughout the footballing side when will also run throughout the academy.
This is a massive rebuild ….. look at Man City atm - it’s imploded overnight!
The injuries have seriously highlighted the need for 2-3 good/solid, top level premier league players that will add quality and depth to our first team squad.
“To dare is to do”
That’s down to Levy.
Will djed spence end up being postecoglou's mark robbins!
I don't trust the old Spurs trust
Doesn't use dramatic text in the video preview shot but will use gunfingers. 😂
It's crossed fingers!
Ah please! Gen X eh....😩!
