- I was working away and knew there might be the chance to do some bass fishing, so armed with my lure fishing tackle, I snook out before work started to try and catch a bass or two.
What a joy of a morning to be out in- I wouldn't even have cared if the fish didn't show up.

I'm constantly surprised where I find them, they seem to have no fear of shallow water, even in the ebbing tide!

Aye, it is good to pare the luggage down a bit. I tend to only throw 4 or 5 lures but carry boxes of them.
A bass before work! I got a tuna sandwich for lunch and cold shoulder for supper. Stay safe and keep up the great work!

Awesome vid Slippy! Quick question, what's causing your hands to flicker and disappear in the video from 3 minutes onwards? I see it reacting all strange along your rod and around the outline of you as well. :)

Recently replaced my shimano vanford one with gomexus dual bearing titanium upgrade. Way better than shimano line roller bushing bearing shims plastic.
Cannot beat surface action, great video. I like the gravity lures, visually stunning, but, not so sure about their effectiveness due to the lack of noise, how do you think they can compare to surface lures with rattles please?
I find rattles great when there's noise in the water (waves, wind etc), but sometimes the quiet approach works well especially when it's flat calm and gin clear like it was on this day. IMA actually make a Salt Skimmer without rattles for this reason
Many thanks I like your logic and have noticed fish seem to disappear when on the Patch 140 when calmer. I will persist on the calmer days with my two Gravity surface lures then. Look forward to more bass videos from you.
The Patch 100 can be lethal too, had some of my biggest bass on that lure. It still has a rattle but moves much less water than the 140 and gravity

Hi mate are you using a bass rod or just your normal lure rod whats kind of rod do you normally use
It's classed as a bass rod, mainly because it's 9ft 6, but really any lure will work. Cheers
Are you fishing the tide as it drops or are you fishing a flooding tide
I'm fishing the ebb. I've never had much joy here on the flood.
