Excellent video Stu,congratulations on your PB,fishing with lures down here in Cornwall is hard going.Looking forward to watching more of your content.
Excellent video as usual… every morning at 6 when I drive over that bridge I wonder why I don’t see more anglers around there as looks like a great spot to try light gear..🎣
Thanks for watching Mark. Yeah it's an odd one, not the easiest to get to if you don't know the route. There were other anglers there, it is known, but not over fished, which is nice. 👍
It is, but that particular one is at Portsbridge near Hilsea, so a long way either side to reach the harbours. There are better placed slipways closer to the harbours.
Lovely vid as always mate. Some awesome rod bending action! I did chuckle every time you hot footed to your rod as it bent over! Well done on the pb, cracking fish.
Eazy stu you ok pal, absolutely loved the tune on the first part of vid chief. Nice one for another vid to watch. Well done ya bass, plus ya P.B. All the best from GRIMSBY
That’s a nice way to fish 1 rod a little bag of bits and bait do you ever see anyone else fishing when your on that stretch. I know you do a lot of different types of fishing and venues but these trips are bit special and well done on your pb
Cheers Steve. Yeah I always love the simple trips, travelling light. Funny enough there were people fishing beside me on the last trip, found out about the mark through my videos. That's the danger I guess, but it's a free world. I have two choices, fish there and don't film, or share the sessions with you guys and have others fish there. plenty of room, and it'll more than likely be a few weeks till I get back.
A really lovely, engaging and tranquil video with none of that tiresome and mindless whooping and hollering that is often a feature of such contributions. It brought back memories for me as I used to collect crabs and fish there back in early 70s when loads of big silver eels could be caught but sadly not very common these days. Do you find that big tides are more productive there or doesn’t it matter? Maybe a trip back eastwards along the coast from Dorset is called for!
Thank you David. Means a lot to hear that. I do find that a tide with more flow is better than one with less pace. With regards to the eels, I too used to catch some quite large ones there perhaps 20 or more years ago. I did recently catch a small conger eel from that spot, those are becoming more and more widespread these days. 😎👍
@@thesweetcornkid266 Yes, it’s strange how things change. When I fished the Solent beaches way back in the 60s and 70s congers were never caught from the shore and now they are everywhere. Also despite many, many hours spent fishing around Stokes Bay, Gilkicker, Eastney and Lee on Solent during that same period I never heard of or saw a ray being caught nor a smoothound and, just like the congers, they are now very common.
I'm a member of PDAS, so usually find one of their waters to have a dabble, although I do enjoy a quiet prolific day ticket water now and again, usually midweek days are quietest.

Great video, love that you show the bites, best part of fishing for me. Congratulations on the new PB. Using the same music as Tarantino too!
Glad you enjoyed it, it's hard filming bites, you never know if you're gonna get one and if you have enough camera batteries. I got lucky. 😎👍

Is the slipway you walked over usable, be ideal for a small boat to access the top of the harbour?
It is, but that particular one is at Portsbridge near Hilsea, so a long way either side to reach the harbours. There are better placed slipways closer to the harbours.
A couple of nice sessions and some good fishing. Well done on the pb Stu.
Thanks Wayne, enjoyed chasing the bass for the past couple of weeks. Onto the next challenge now. 👍

Some things are for the better, some not so. Guess we need to change with the times to keep up. Still a fun journey though 👍
Another magical journey mate. Congrats on your pb. Nice. Can't pm you on TH-cam. Any ideas?
Cheers Nick. Should be able to message me through my Facebook page, The Sweetcorn Kid.
Nice one stu do you fillet them or cook whole, went pass there 5.15 going to daughters for baby sitting
Hi Pete. I usually bake them in foil in the over. Head and fins off, that's all the prep that's needed.
Where ya go for carp
