Morally you could never be equal. One is doing their deeds for the sake of Allah swt. The other is doing it to fulfil their desires. He should understand, that we are rewarded according to our intentions. Thus, my intentions are to worship Allah swt in my actions.
So if I see a hungry man and take give him my food while I’m hungry too, does that mean I’m doing it to fulfil my desires. I don’t think some of you don’t understand that in this world there’s only good and evil weather your Muslim or a non believer.

As he had faith he knew that he would be rewarded. And he knew that was a test for him. Being poor is a test but even being a millionaire is also a test too. The Creator will ask whether you have spent the money accordingly. If you help others knowing that you'll be rewarded you'll be happy to do it. Try it.

I’m currently been reading into Islam and I don’t know why or if this is normal but Iv burst out into tears many times since leaning about this faith… there’s some real beauty in there morals and ethics and it’s very humbling… I was brought up by a Catholic parent and a prodesntent parent but me myself was never any specific religion… but in my 30s Iv really felt s calling to try and build my relationship with god and I can’t deny that there’s a genuine feeling I get when I read the Quran or watch videos on the faith… and as a recovering addict Iv come to believe I can not beat the drink and drugs alone I need god. 🙏 ☪️ alhamdulilah
May Allah guide you to Islam. No one is perfect, and when i converted to Islam (i was a Christian) it helped me eliminate bad habits one by one. I also got very emotional when reading Quran bc i knew i found the truth. Stay strong and dont beat yourself down, you are a good person and Allah knows best about your intentions

I believe the issue is more complex than the answer that was given. Faith and good deeds are connected to each other. The desire and intention to do good - the inclination for it - implies that a person does have faith. It is one thing to confess something with your tongue - and another to have a deeper knowing of it. If there is a pure-hearted person out there, who's sincere and does good to others. This person does have "faith" on some level. The opposite is true as well, a confessing Muslim who is a terrible person - is lacking faith.
Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, Allah does not look at your appearance or wealth, but rather He looks at your hearts and actions.” Sahih Muslim 2564. Note: ain't commenting for arguing. Peace🙌🏾.
It's not the same thing and doing good things doesn't mean faith. heck you may even be a good person but call muslims terrorists and make fun of God or Quran. Does a person like that deserves to be rewarded? I don't think so. Because then what's the point of Quran, Allah making himself known, sending prophets, etc. if none of that matters?

I feel belief in Allah and taking the shahadah will help people in living a good life, upon reflecting on Surah Ibrahim (Chapter 14) verses 24-27 and Allah knows best. May He guide us all and keep us firm.

Although, it is important to mention those who are good people will have their reward in this life, whereas people who believe and suffer due to believing, maybe oppression etc, will have their reward in the next life.
That still doesn't address his question. He should be given an example of parents raising a helpless baby, who would normally die if left alone without nurturing, protecting and aiding along his growth journey until that baby is an "independent" adult. Then that adult, after receiving all of that which is the reason to him being successful - let alone being alive at all - he gives credit to either himself, or someone else completely than the rightfully worthy actor. Then when the parents punish him for his ungratefulness by denying him from inheriting their wealth, he'd be like "that wealth belongs to me! How could they deny me from my right?". What right is he talking about?! ولله المثل الأعلى. Allah gave him every single sense and limb, He gave him life and consciousness and freedom to choose right from wrong. Anything he has is given by his Creator and no one else, which ultimately helped him do those great things in the first place and allowed him to be a good person in this life to others, then he denies those favors being from the creator and gives credit to evolution, or to Krishna, or to Jesus, or even to himself. How is it logical that he should be rewarded in the Hereafter when he's meeting his Creator, sustainer and Lord for denying Him as the rightful and only One worthy of worship when that worship was directed to something or someone else? That's why the first statement a Muslim says when entering the true religion is "Ash-hadu al-la ilaha illa Allah wa Ash-hadu anna Muhammadan rasool-Uallauh" (I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad is his messenger) ☝🏼 Also, when he does those good deeds, his intention is for a temporary life, then why would he be expecting the reward to be infinite when he only believes in a temporary life and that there's nothing after death? He'll get rewarded - just like the brother answered him - in this life, but the eternal reward is not for him based on his intention. As for a servant of that Creator doing those good deeds with the intention to please His Creator alone and no one else, not his ego, not society, not to be praised and not waiting for a temporary reward (even though he knows that he'll get rewarded in both this life and the Hereafter) that is a person worthy of the infinite reward for always being conscious of the only rightful entity of worship in his temporary life.
Muslim Lantern's Muhd Ali also gave a simple beautiful answer, if you don't believe in a Creator, why would you expect Him to reward you in the afterlife.

You cannot trick God. What makes you believe that you can disobey him you're entire life and then say the shada right before dying. What makes you believe that you will have the chance to say it in the first place ? You might die in your sleep, do a heart attack, an accident.
so what you are saying makes no sense. You have to do the shahada (makes no sense either) to make it to heaven. In the origional shahada you dont say mohammed. The Islamic Shahada ( that equals the first commandment) is mentioned in 3:18 God bears witness that there is no god except He, and so do the angels and THOSE WHO POSSESS KNOWLEDGE. Truthfully and equitably, He is the absolute god; there is no god but He, the Almighty, Most wise.

Think of it this way… Being a morally upright person without Islam is like doing PHD level work but never turning the work in at the university but just sitting outside the university campus or somewhere else in the world for that matter…. But still you’re doing all the work that could get you a big reward if you only attend the university (Islam).

I’ve been really considering converting to Islam lived in a Christian household my whole and it never really stuck with me I guess I don’t know if it was cause if it felt forced or something but the more videos and things I see the more I’ve grow to really like the religion
Jesus said don't store your treasure on earth but store it in heaven this means the good that you do here on earth don't show it to man for you will get your reward on earth but if you keep it between you and God this will be acknowledged by the creator

I am a devout Latter-Day Saint Christian. My sister-in-law is a revert to Islam and I work with many faithful and wonderful Muslim colleagues and clients. I heard somewhere that it is a belief of some Muslims that in the last days that when the Messiah will return that Christians and Muslims will be united and work together beforehand against evil and preparing the way and in accepting Jesus as the Messiah? I believe the issue is more complex than the answer that was given. Faith and good deeds are connected to each other. The desire and intention to do good - the inclination for it - implies that a person does have faith.
It is one thing to confess something with your tongue - and another to have a deeper knowing of it. If there is a pure-hearted person out there, who's sincere and does good to others. This person does have "faith" on some level. The opposite is true as well, a confessing Muslim who is a terrible person - is lacking faith.
Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, Allah does not look at your appearance or wealth, but rather He looks at your hearts and actions.” Sahih Muslim 2564.

That still doesn't address his question. He should be given an example of parents raising a helpless baby, who would normally die if left alone without nurturing, protecting and aiding along his growth journey until that baby is an "independent" adult. Then that adult, after receiving all of that which is the reason to him being successful - let alone being alive at all - he gives credit to either himself, or someone else completely than the rightfully worthy actor. Then when the parents punish him for his ungratefulness by denying him from inheriting their wealth, he'd be like "that wealth belongs to me! How could they deny me from my right?". Allah gave him every single sense and limb, He gave him life and consciousness and freedom to choose right from wrong. Anything he has is given by his Creator and no one else, which ultimately helped him do those great things in the first place and allowed him to be a good person in this life to others, then he denies those favors being from the creator and gives credit to evolution, or to Krishna, or to Jesus, or even to himself. How is it logical that he should be rewarded in the Hereafter when he's meeting his Creator, sustainer and Lord for denying Him as the rightful and only One worthy of worship when that worship was directed to something or someone else?
That's why the first statement a Muslim says when entering the true religion is "Ash-hadu al-la ilaha illa Allah wa Ash-hadu anna Muhammadan rasool-Uallauh"

Also, when he does those good deeds, his intention is for a temporary life, then why would he be expecting the reward to be infinite when he only believes in a temporary life and that there's nothing after death? He'll get rewarded - just like the brother answered him - in this life, but the eternal reward is not for him based on his intention. As for a servant of that Creator doing those good deeds with the intention to please His Creator alone and no one else, not his ego, not society, not to be praised and not waiting for a temporary reward (even though he knows that he'll get rewarded in both this life and the Hereafter) that is a person worthy of the infinite reward for always being conscious of the only rightful entity of worship in his temporary life.

I am a devout Latter-Day Saint Christian. My sister-in-law is a revert to Islam and I work with many faithful and wonderful Muslim colleagues and clients. I heard somewhere that it is a belief of some Muslims that in the last days that when the Messiah will return that Christians and Muslims will be united and work together beforehand against evil and preparing the way and in accepting Jesus as the Messiah? Please correct me if I heard wrong or if it's more an opinion than doctrine. I thought it was beautiful though 🙏❤
