A Tim original from his days as a professional songwriter. Written in a snit after his boss told him he needed to write something country. So he drank a bottle of whiskey - and then wrote this. Gotta love it.
The cameo appearance at the end of the video is Avi Kaplan (black shirt & cowboy hat) who used to be with Pentatonix. He is also riding the mechanical bull at the back of the bar.
How can you not smile when watching that? What a fun video! This is an original song that Tim wrote. These guys know how to have fun without compromising their vocals. Rob is great with his whistling & love Adam's vocal percussion. Fun seeing Avi Kaplan doing a cameo in this.
This is a Tim original. Story goes that Tim was in LA writing songs and his boss wanted him to write a country song. He didn’t want to but the boss insisted so he went home, got drunk and wrote this in one night. It’s been one of his biggest hits. I love the verse, “I won’t see her pretty face at all, since the prison’s no where near the mall”. Hahaha. The man with the straw hat on in the beginning was Chris Rupp. Avi Kaplan showed up near the end too since he had just sung Ring of Fire with them. Fun! 😍
There's a very funny story about Tim writing this song. LoL. I'm sure someone in the comments will fill you in. The guy in the group you in the hat is Chris Rupp, the founder of Home Free ( and the beatboxer's brother). Did you notice Avi Kaplan at the end of the video? Thanks for the Home Free reactions
The guy you did not recognize was Chris Rupp. He was the founder of Home Free, bringing in his brother Adam, the beat boxer, and several others. There was a fair bit of singers coming and going until they came to the group you see in this video for several years. Then Chris decided on a solo (and less touring) career. That was when Adam Chance came in with the official role of baritone, but as with Chris, he can do the bass or go into the tenor range as needed. Since then, the group has been stable, until the recent announcement that Austin is going solo as well.

Absolutely, is there anything more "country" than doing that really? ;)

So cool. Love that little detail, even if I didn't catch it at the time.

Such a fun, and very country (?), way to end up making a song. It was a really fun song with cool small details ❤️

You were talking about Tim’s deep voice….he talks Bass….hes’s their spokesman at their concerts…..too Kool with his Awesome deep voice 💖🙃❤️🔥‼️
So, what you're saying is that I'd be a wandering goosebump if I attend their concert?... haha.
@@ThalesMusicCorner Yes,that is Tim's natural speaking voice,that low rumble..😊
One of their funnies.
It was really great 😊
The funny thing about the people in the boat is that it kind of represented the saying "up the creek without a paddle", meaning they are in trouble.
Ah, that scene totally makes sense now. I know the saying but didn't connect it. Thanks
Tim Foust, the bass singer, wrote this song :) Great reaction :)

They really are great indeed. And yes, the song is 9 years old, so it's way back in time.
Caught this one quick - all by accident😍😍 A fun song with a real message (sort of anyway).
Glad you caught it :) Sort of indeed. :)
i only watch this because of Avi's cameo appearance.
It's a great song, and lovely that they had him there in the end
