    Excellent wisdom! I appreciate the gems as always Du’An. As a follower of your I.T. Philosophy I go by all of these steps and these methods have begun to change my life. I am starting over late in my life and I want all of your listeners and followers to know it’s okay to make pivots “late” in life. I had to learn that it’s never too late to learn something new. And to me it’s easier because I have gained so much life experience to add to the new knowledge and that makes you even more marketable. So don’t be afraid to make a change no matter where or when u are in life. I appreciate you bro and keep inspiring. Peace & Blessings👍🏽 Now back to this Linux👊🏽

    Thanks for this video ! One advice I would give is before even learning a technology or a tool try to know WHY you need it in the first place. If you are an aspiring network engineer and you are learning switching try to know WHY you need vtp or trunking before you start even learning it. Knowing the background of why you need something will help you understand and learn it better. It will also help you focus on what you want to achieve on the job. So for example if you have a business case and you know which technology can help you deliver the task, you might not know anything about that technology but just the fact the you know where to go solved already 50%, the rest is googling, asking around, reading (the learning process) and then you can achieve the project.
    WHY you need a technology is more important than HOW the technology works

    • @LabEveryday
      @LabEveryday  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good point. For me I didn’t get the why until I got in the field. It’s hard to see the big picture when you are sitting on the bench waiting your turn. Once you get in the game things start making sense.

    Hey Du'An, thanks for the inspiring video as always.
    I have a question, how did you negotiate your salary in your current job for example? If you know that you worth a 100.000$ gross salary a year, but they offer you let's say a 80k, how are you doing that?
    Anyway, what I'm interested in, could you make a video of how much does a person really need to know in order to get a job with 6 figure salary in IT, Cloud, Networking etc.? I know you made a video about this, learning Linux, CISCO ISE, CISCO ACI, etc. but you didn't really got into detail of how much you really need to know in for example Linux.
    Thanks again and have a good day bro.

    • @LabEveryday
      @LabEveryday  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Np. Thanks for the questions family. The true power in negotiations is being able to say no and not settle. Let me think on that some more and I’ll get back to you. Turn on your notifications. The 2nd question is going to depend on the path you take. Is it IT, Cloud or Networking. Clarify that then we can talk.
