    I lived in Buenos Aires for 2 years, and i do agree that almost nothing in this world comes close to a great Argentine steak, with a beautiful Argentina wine. I use to have an asado once a week with my neighbors. Also, i loaded up on empanadas like crazy. Every times for lunch, i would get empanadas con carne (and egg) and empanadas with jamon y queso. Great memories.

      @lJADU 9 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Tyler Jacobson That fine everyone has their own preferences :) But make sure to go to Argentina and have it there! There's a world of difference between an Argentine restaurant in London and one that's in Argentina!

    • @tylerjacobson8012
      @tylerjacobson8012 9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Ya.. I will say that the chef that prepared my argentine steak prepared it better than the kobe steak.. he who was from Argentina used a weird mix of spices that just really accentuated the beef flavor.. the kobe cut though is just the most superior beef cut I've ever had. It's so well marbled just oozes flavor.. but the Japanese chef that made that for me prepared it on a flat top with Asian flavors which didn't pop and accentuate the beef thr way the argentine chef did. I'd like to see an argentine chef grill me a kobe steak though that be probably the best thing in the world.

    • @derbigpr500
      @derbigpr500 9 ปีที่แล้ว +18

      Original Name Nah Croatian beef is way better than Argentinian. You can use it as insulating material if you're building a new house, you can use it as soles for your shoes, if you've got some really heavy-duty machines that turn big rocks into small stone pieces, you can make burgers out of it. If you slow cook it for a week, you can even eat it straight away. A steak that's not so tough you end up in a hospital after eating it because your jaw is broken, you're missing teeth and your colon is blocked, is not a proper steak.

    Why was there chimmichurri on the empanada? You NEVER see that in Argentina. The other thing is I can tell the parillero wasn't Argentinian because he kept moving and touching the meat. Rule #1 DONT TOUCH!.

      I'm Argentinian and I've never heard of Leprechauns (except from some German friends);
      Afaik, Santa Claus (known as Papá Noel here) is still a thing in more developed countries (like the US, Japan, etc), so we're not alone and the people that still believe the Falklands are ours are either war vets or people that weren't even alive when the war ended yet still complain about it.
      Thanks for what you said about our cooking though.

    • @piccanninni

      True, and its not usually grass fed either; since the collapse of the Argentinian economy the cheaper method of grain feeding prevails.

      piccanninni Not sure if some large exporting companies does the grain feeding, but most local small places, where most people in Argentina get meats from are grass fed. Where did you hear that the cows aren't usually grass fed?

    • @juniorgamba

      papitosabe if they are mass produced there is a good chance they are grain fed, like most other countries in south america I think

    • @Narnarcorner
      @Narnarcorner 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually, I know because I am from Argentina and I live in the part of the country where the best meat comes from, and we have so much field for the animals to walk around and eat as much grass as they want, that it would actually be more expensive to feed them grain, than to just let them eat grass. The smallest field in our region is 100 square hectares, so yeah, animals are grass fed, not grain fed.

      ***** "Comedy" my arse. This topic is a controversial matter and needs to be handled in a tactful manner-something which the Top Gear crew did not do. Friendly reminder that this war went on during a time when Argentina was in it's darkest moments as a country due to the dictatorship rule of the military junta then. Many people were abducted, tortured, and killed by the junta for no reason. Even to this fucking day, people are still angry, upset, and badly traumatized over all of this. They had lost practically everything to this dictatorship. Till today, there's still a lot of controversy about this in Argentina, and idiots like you aren't helping. My Argentine friend's father was a survivor of this war. He has PTSD and has to drink heavily in order to to cope with the shit he went through, and it's tearing her family apart. And before you laugh and go on with your racist tirade, FYI, she's part British too. Go on, go ask her to laugh at that "joke" now. I fucking dare you.
      Jesus F Christ. I bet even Family Guy and South Park could handle this situation better than Jeremy Clarkson and the hacks over at Top Gear.
