They are the very best 12v fridge/freezers on the market. Stupid simple. I've had 13 12v fridges. It's a weird hobby. That compressor design is what causes them to be so reliable. Just a electromagnet bouncing between two springs.
They were first imported by ARB. And Norcold as the Tek2. I have a friend that has a 63qt and 43qt Tek2's that are probably 30 years old. Bouncing around in a Kenworth W900. He pulled them out of wrecked Winnebagos.
I have two like yours. I have the bags and everything.
I have a Snomaster 85L Expedition series that's a dual zone. That's really nice. But it wont last as long as a Engel.
In my truck right now I have two Iceco's. They work. But they are garbage. They just happen to be way lighter than the Engels. That's the only reason I bought them.

So I purchased a refrigerator from a company well known for manufacturing power stations and solar panels. They produced their first fridge. This company a Chinese company and their products are manufactured in their country. Anyway, I bought into the hype from the social media influencers and purchased one. Day 1, it sucked. The thermostat was off. The fan continuously ran. Anyway, after back and forth emails and phone calls, they finally decided to allow me a refund. I came across Engel a few days ago when I was researching fridges that are not made in China. Engel and National Luna are on top for me and I think I am leaning towards the Engel MT45 dual zone. Anyway, can you do an update video on how the fridge has been in terms of reliability, fan noise, thermostat, etc? Thank you.

The Engel has been great, second one owned, and I dial right to 32 degrees, as I like my beer very very cold. I have check it with a fridge thermometer and it is spot on. Cools very quickly. The beauty of them is the one moving part Japanese compressor. You can see these fridges being used by people that have owned them for many decades. Regarding Nation Luna, proven product as well, however it is made in South Africa, and I will not purchase products in South Africa if I can help it, as their political climate has condoned murder of white farmers.
