I like the hex driver recommendation. It's really easy to become complacent struggling with a "good enough" tool, when better tools are available for cheap.
Yeah they have saved me so much time
Glenn, I have been meaning to write a comment here but I held back because I was so busy. I just wanted to say, your videos are incredible. I launched my 3d print shop on etsy this month and I am at over 100 sales in total. My best piece of advice for anyone is to take a month learning ANY CAD program you can before you start. Selling other peoples designs is the smallest margins.
I probably binged every single video on this channel related to etsy before launching my page. One thing I can say is invest in a good machine. My first week I attempted to run my shop on my ender. After my first few sales and failed prints I bought a bambulabs p1s. It's almost paid for itself in the first month.
I'm now about to buy myself a two a1 minis to keep up with orders so I can sleep more.
Just wanted to say Glenn, thanks man, your videos are initially what finally made me say "just do it bro and stop planning".
Awesome man I'm so glad that I could help!
Heyyyyyy!!! A fellow Connecticut printer man! Glad to know ya glenn! ive been watching for a lil while, you got some good advice. Making me look closer at a creality printer to replace my prusa I3 and see if I cant jump into the Printing game. Youve officially earned another sub, and hope to talk more in the future! Take care Glenn!
Awesome! Glad to meet you thanks for the sub!
Thank you for these videos I’ve just started my shop and subscribed
Welcome aboard!
Mate, I just stumbled across your channel and I'm so bummed I haven't earlier. Your videos are straight to the point and have a heap of tips and tricks for myself as i consider setting up my own print farm.
Welcome aboard, Thanks for watching!
Thank you so much for this video !!! I know how to do 3D modeling I just got my first 3D printer too. Someday I want to create my own print farm !!!
This is the only video I found that talks about using 3D printers in humid basements.
Glad you liked it! Any questions let me know!
@@glennbrian3d I do have one question. If you store your 3D printers in a high humidity environment like a basement with a steam furnace will that damage the electronics ?
I have been moving my machine when not in use out of the basement I'm afraid that humidity like that will destroy the electronics.
@@RodneysGraphics The humidity gets up to about 58% max in my basement, anything more than that could possibly do some damage, I've even had some things rust believe it or not, And it's relatively dry technically
@@glennbrian3d thanks for your reply I really appreciate it !!! Maybe it is a good idea that I took printer from there when not running.
Right now I'm only doing short prints for myself like stuff that is no more than 3 hours then I move everything out of the basement when done.
Eventually I got to get a filament dryer I can tell already moisture has gotten into my filament.
Yes rust and chrosion are tricky to stay out of metal items.
@@RodneysGraphics Yes I have a video about the solvo fill in the dryer works really well for me
Awesome video ty Glenn! What do you think about the printer enclosures for controlling humidity and temp?
It depends on what you're printing, some things require an enclosure but with PLA I would not use it unless you have to, at least with print farm it's easier to control the humidity and temperature of the room rather than each individual encasement
@@glennbrian3d Thanks Glenn!
@@thebrassgoblin5454 absolutely!
What are you doing for air filtration and noise management?
Noise is not a problem (for me) but I may get an air filter soon and make a video about it
Just purchased a elegoo neptune 3 pro, it hasn’t even arrived yet but I’m really excited to get started, I have been looking through 3d software but haven’t found what I feel is is close to what I was taught on (Bobcad v27) 20 year machinist try to start something for myself what’s your recommendations on low budget to get rolling?
There's a lot of stuff out there it depends what you're trying to design
I see a crib! Is the baby here?
Yes she is! Hannah Lynn was 9lbs 6oz :)
Sweet! Congrats!
@@rwandrew077 thank you so much!
Congratulations!!!
@@rhymecypha Thank you!
Can you glue prints together with print pen?
Yes I have done this on certain prints, like a moon globe for instance I used it to glue the LED and battery in and the end on
hey, there I back with a problem.😂 funny tho.

@@glennbrian3d thanks for responding. can help me
Hi future print farmer here. Do you carry business insurance? If so maybe tell us from who and why or did you create an llc? Thanks
I will be making a video on this soon!
i think it would be smart to put your shop in your video description
Thank you for the suggestion!
Capping pretty hard with those thumbnails.
What do you mean Bernard
@@glennbrian3d Putting sales figures in most of your thumbnails comes off as disingenuous.
@@bernardtarver sorry you feel that way that's the point of my channel
