    Summary:
    You should only scale it things are working out and you are profitable, but even then go for vertical scaling and increase budget instead of horizontal scaling and don't create duplicates of exact same ad or asset and run them along each other 🙏🏻

    Hi Ben, thanks for always delivering great content and insight!
    A couple of questions...
    1. You mentioned that you will only scale your campaign that's successful after testing all the variables at a certain budget level. In this instance, are you referring to vertical scaling or both types of scaling?
    2) you advised to keep the budget at the same level by adding new ad sets. So, using the CBO, say you would start with 4 ad sets, so to keep the budget at the same level, you would maintain 4 ad sets during the testing phase by getting rid of and adding in new ad sets, right? Whereas for ABO, maintaining the same number of ad sets are not an issue as the budget is controlled at the ad set level, right?
    Thanks for your kind attention.

    Great video Ben! Thank you! I have a question if you could please help me. I sell online Fitness courses. Do you recommend me run a conversions "Bundle of warm audiences" adset and also an "Initiate checkout" adset? (2 different adsets in CBO). Or is it better to run ONLY the "Bundle of Warm Audiences" because the "Initiate Checkout" audiences are included in the "All Website Visitors" inside the Bundle. Thanks for your help! :) (1 or both?)

    Awesome content Ben! Question..
    I had 2 adsets doing well in a ABO campaign at $10/day each, left it running for 5 days and still performing well. I duplicated each adset and double the budget (same campaign) left original adsets running as well. After increasing budget the original adsets stopped performing and the new adsets did bad as well. Could this be audience overlap or what could it be? Thanks

    IF YOUR AD IS DOING WELL - HOW LONG SHOULD YOU WAIT UNTIL YOU VERTICALLY INCREASE YOUR BUDGET? CERTAIN ROA? OR IS THERE A TIMEFRAME TO GO BY FOR EACH INCREASE IN BUDGET TO MAKE SURE YOUR LEARNING PHASES AND AD AS A WHOLE ARE OPTIMIZING PROPERLY?

    • @BenHeath
      @BenHeath  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It won't reset the Pixel, but your ad set may re-enter the learning phase. That's not something to worry about though - you need to make adjustments.

    Fantastic as always, thanks Ben :) What about if you start by advertising to one country, and if it's successful, adding new countries? Thanks mate. :)

    So basically duplicating campaigns doesn't make sense but what is with ad set with the exact same setup? There is this strategy where people duplicate proven ad sets with just 1 ad 4x - 5x into a new CBO and then scale it. What do you say about it?

    • @BenHeath
      @BenHeath  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Oliver - I'm not a fan - it can work well in the short run. But you run into serious long term issues.

      @@BenHeath thanks for your fast response. Right now I have 2 proven ads in my ABO testing campaign. So basically it would be better to duplicate them (just once) in a CBO campaign and let Facebook do the rest, right? And when the campaign is getting good result I can slightly increase the budget?

  • @parkashdeepsingh9269
    @parkashdeepsingh9269 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    So in Horizontal scaling when you duplicate the adsets, wouldn't they start competing against each other?

    Thanks Ben - very helpful. When you say don't run an exact duplicate.. would you consider a CBO with 3 adsets, a 1%, 5% and 10% Adset identical? Or is this acceptable. Love your work.

    • @BenHeath
      @BenHeath  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question. If the lookalikes are of the same type (based on the same thing) then yes I would count those as duplicates and steer clear. A 10% in that example will include the other two anyway.
      If they are based on difference source audiences then those are separate targeting options in my mind and can be run simultaneously.

    I have a campaign doing really well at just 30 bks a day i could up the budget every 3-7 days by 20% and monitor it but to get it to where i want it would take 2 months of doing that. I've tried duplicating another one that was doing this well and then adding more ad budget to the duplicate not a huge amount but it was at 10bks a day the duplicate then 50 bks a day but then it didn't do as well as the lower budget one. I did run them alongside each other everything was the same so perhaps that was the problem. I don't want to make the same mistake again. I have this other one doing super well and i want to scale it. i don't need to test new audiences i have already been testing for 8 months this is a result of that testing i just want to wack more money on it but without increasing the CPC. How would i do that?
