    Thanks for the video. I bought one of these for painting our house, and needed a video like this to see how to set it up and use it. Also good tips on having extra tape pieces ready. Thanks,! TJ

      I agree! I've used it with paper and film, and it's more than paid for itself. Good luck, G.

      Can this help you if you were painting and the customer decided after the walls were finished they wanted the ceiling painted? Will it protect your awesome job on walls?

    I'm told if you take the blade guard off, the cut is a lot easier to perform.

    • @ghostses
      @ghostses  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Possibly so, but be careful though. This thing is sharp. I've gotten into it even with the guard and it will do some quick damage. Take care, G.

    I think it has the sharp blade on the other side of the sawtooth one. I got the same kit and both blades are on it

    • @ghostses

      WOW!! Thanks for the comment. It never occurred to me to simply flip the blade over! Thanks again, G.

    Thanks for teaching us how to do it.
    Why is it that when the plastic film has covered the window, the plastic film is being sucked into the window? Is it due to air pressure or wind?

    • @ghostses
      @ghostses  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No problem! The film has a static cling effect when applying it. Take care, G.

    In my opinion taking of the guard on the blade makes cutting your roll of plastic or paper alot easier with a straighter cut.

      Thanks for the info Walter! 3M saw my video and sent me their new straight cut blade. It works extremely well. I have a review posted if you're interested. I don't know what they cost, or how/where to get them- but you might look into one when you need a new blade. Take care, G.

    did you manage to buy the hook for it ?

    • @ghostses
      @ghostses  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ben, as I recall- I had the SW store try to order one for me and they had no success. They contacted the local rep and He/She sent one to the store for me to pick up. It was free to me in that regard. Not much help- but take care, G.

    Next time stick the foil to the windos like - leaving no air in betweenz
    If you do it like this ,you might pierce right true if you bump or even a jet from the spray might just rip through ! And make it all messy job.
    I wasn’t sure about getting one meself but will do so after watching your vid. So thx ( i hope )

      Oh that’s awesome I hope he has the part that 3M doesn’t give to the stores.That’s the part that holds the end of the plastic and lets it cut straight.

    • @ghostses
      @ghostses  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@brianhynote1428 I can't say if that site has the straight cut blade, but it does work great. I have a video posted on the one 3M sent me. Here's the link. Good luck, G.

    I have found that using paper with the plastic blade dulls it faster

    • @ghostses
      @ghostses  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn't use much paper with this blade- mostly plastic. 3M sent me a sample of their straight cut blade so that's the one I've been using. I've used a fair amount of paper with it- along with plastic. Mine seems to be holding up OK- but then again, I've only used it to mask off an investment property I purchased and renovated. Thanks for sharing your experience. Take care, G.
