  • More great mods for the Traxxas TRX4M! In this video I install and review the new 59mm oil filled shocks for the TRX4M just released by Injora! I also install the carbon fiber LCG chassis kit made specifically for the TRX4M Bronco. These are great upgrades if you are looking for more performance and additional customization/tuning options for your chassis and suspension!

    There are many on the tube that do similar installs and testing. But you my friend take things several clicks deeper. For those that want a brief install and demo could be bored with your methodical and very thorough approach. I enjoy every detail you share. I have been watching for about a year now and have learned before I buy from your channel.
    I have larger models such as a crazy fast Slash and a brushless TRX4.

    Hey dude, great coverage on the TRX4M! One thing that no one has covered yet is the Meus crawler gearing. I know the best way forward is a brushless set-up but for those starting out or happy to remain brushed, I want to see if you have tried the new gearing with a faster motor, e.g. Injora 48T and the 25.87:1 gearing. Its midway between stock trialling and crawling - if it still produces slower crawl but giving back some much needed speed would be a great test and review vid!!!

    Hi Adam, i got the chassis and I had the 59mm shocks already on the original trx4m chassis. I had a climbing angle of 56 degrees. The front shocks I had put some limiting spacer in, to limit the front lift.

I am planning on getting the injora 59 ml. shocks you showed in the video to also add on. The tires keep rubbing the body and I was wondering what you might do to fix it? Oh, that's a tough one. They both have pros and cons. I like the one-piece frame rails on the grasshopper, and I feel like the design offers more/better options for shock placement. • @2fmrc
      @2fmrc ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I’m sure Adam will answer this for you but you always want to add weight at the axle or below. Cut as much weight above the axle as possible and you’ll perform much better. Keeping the weight as low as possible is the idea. Especially on something like the Trx4m that has a hard body. It’s already got a good amount of weight up high so removing any you can is only going to help performance.

    • @CapeCrawlers

    • @CapeCrawlers
      @CapeCrawlers  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Oh boy. Let me think.. I would start with the Furitek grasshopper chassis, Meus racing straight axles with flat servo mount, a reefs 179 servo on that mount, RC addictions linkage, Injora shocks (59mm for flex, shorter for pure performance), Furitek stinger combo, radiomaster radio/rx, Injora steel crawler gear set, mofo RC upw wheels, lgrp swamp king tires with flub RC inserts, high clearance bumpers front and rear. Thats it off the top of my head!

    • @CapeCrawlers
      @CapeCrawlers  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It depends on what you are looking to do. I personally think it's a beneficial upgrade because of the shock placements it opens up. You've got zero options on the stock chassis so this helps a lot in that regard.

    • @CapeCrawlers

      For the Traxxas? Higher end products that I've run are the NSDRC RS100. They sell a kit that comes with the servo, mount, and horn. It's a fantastic servo, incredibly fast, powerful, and quiet. Budget servos would be an Emax or RampCrab. The latter has a kit for ~$20 that includes the mount and horn!
