In the West where an abundance of inexpensively priced tools are available, it can be easy to overlook the fact that others are not in that fortunate position and so have to improvise and work to create the tools they need.

Seth told me he has never seen or made anything from damacus steel. We cannot find this steel in our place at all. Want to try making tools from it.

In Romania, a 150 mm vise is around 150 euros

Nice solid construction. It'll probably work as well as anything you could buy, in fact, better than a lot of the flimsy rubbish that's sold to the general public in the west. Who cares that it looks a bit rough if it works? I'd be happy to have that in my workshop.

When he said quality, he meant it. I bought a chinese-made vise awhile back for bending irons. That vise bent along with the job after the third day hahaha my gulay..
His vise is not very nice but I believe in its quality
