    Andrea Marcon è un grande organista, clavicembalista e direttore italiano conosciuto in tutta Europa. Ho avuto il piacere di seguirlo anni fa in un viaggio ad Amsterdam, Alkmaar ed Haarlem dove ha tenuto memorabili concerti e dimostrazioni sui più famosi organi storici olandesi. E' stata un'esperienza indimenticabile !

    Nice rubato over ever developing toccata. So fantastic. 24 minutes of music passes like a summer storm.

    Non posso che accodarmi ai tanti commenti entusiastici. Queste cascate di note, questa fluidità, queste coloriture di chiaro scuri, a volte sembra di ascoltare un organo, a volte sembra che perfino un romantico come Beethoven ci abbia messo del suo. Scarlatti, e Marcon, sembrano volere andare oltre le caratteristiche note del clavicembalo, facendolo volare a vertiginosità stratosferiche

    A very daring, inventive and unconventional work, and Andrea Marcon gives the harpsichord a real workout in bringing those qualities to the fore. Bravo!
    P.S. It seems that therei is virtually no limitl to the amount of variations on the "La Folia" theme which have been (or have yet to be) composed.

      Mai sarò dalla parte dei bulli, ma sempre dalla parte dei bullizzati.
      Ho litigato sia con indipendentisti veneti che borbonici che rivendicano l'appartenenza esclusiva da un lato di Vivaldi e dall'altro lato di Scarlatti.
      Non capendo che Scarlatti ha profondamente influenzato Vivaldi che poi ha insegnato in tutta Europa come si compone la vera musica, questo in quanto ITALIANO.
      Ti ringrazio per aver scelto di usare l'aggettivo “Sicilian” con la S maiuscola nel tuo nickname,
      Non è da tutti. 😘

      Certamenmte Bach non solo conosceva il mondo musicale italiano, storicamente di gran lunga il più importante e ricco del suo tempo, ma ne rimaneva inevitabilmente influenzato; isolarlo dal contesto per render il suo talento unico , si rischia di farne un mostro; il suo è stato un grande genio che ha avuto molti debiti (questo vale per tutti i compositori); nel '700 (ancora come dato storico) i vasi di Pandora della musica, che davano a credito, erano gli infiniti compositori, artisti, cantanti, impresari italiani spasi nelle varie corti europe e soprattutto i vari centri musicali italiani, in particolare quello mapoletano con i suo ben quattro conservatori.. Poi le insensate graduatorie del genio più genio dell'altro delle varie scuole di pensiero di critica musicale, che puzzano di nazionalismo fin nel midollo, devono ormai lasciare posto a un critica seria che superi la follia di "misurare" la musica e farne una top ten, ma di capirla e scoprirla ancora.

      Nope, it's curiously not in the actual variations either. Somewhere along the line, the listener picks up the harmonic similarity.
