I got the skar door speakers with the tweeter in it and they are super clear also if you run a amp to the door speakers it is way better sound quality. Love your videos bro keep up the good work

How would you wire the door speakers to an amp. I already have an amp running my 12”sub. Do I have to come off the RCAs on my headunit

I know a lot of people hate on the skar but it’s great value for money
I just put these in on my 4th gen. Had them playing for a week now and what I found was that the plastic trim around the front of the speakers can come off. So I did and used it on the back as a spacer. They seal and fit perfectly😭 finessed the speakers💯 since the plastic is 1/4 inch they fit and tighten excellent and don’t hit the back. BASICALLY ITS A SPACER.
I have a 3rd gen mega cab got 2 kicker comp 10” subs, all kicker carbon door speakers, kicker Titanium tweeters, with a kicker amp and a JVC head unit. Hits crazy hard for the setup. A really good thing that made it sound better was dyno matting the doors and using silicone on the door speaker gaps.
Hell yeah, I had 2 10s in my 3rd gen that's a good setup u got and yea dynamat is the way! I ordered the speaker muffs imma install to help with sound deadening

I just custom fabricated of fiberglass box for a single twelve underneath the back seat last weekend It's dope bro.
Add the Skar Dual 12 inch Bass box to the back under seat and you'll love it. I have it under my back seat, wired 1 ohm to a Rockville KRYPTON-M0 1400w Mono 1 ohm car amp and it makes the Ram sound AWESOME!!!
I just put a 12 3000 watt skar in my 09. It’s a monster man. Skar does make good product for sure.

I had to sand down the rears to get the exact same speakers to fit in my tradesman, but holy cow, it sounds so much better.

I have an 18 Limited. It has a sub box under the passenger rear seat. It takes up the entire storage area. I'm thinking about doing just tweets once I find a size that fits in the headliner. Thanks for the install vid.

All the 2500 and 3500 4th gens door panels have that small piece behind the handle that has to come out. Try reaching the outer door handle screws inside the panel. Swapped my handles for ones I paint matched, and it's a nightmare. Great vid man! Have been curious about Skars for a while now for my '17 2500
Once I figured out the door handle cover pops out completely it made a world difference taking the panels off lol
Your mids in the door would be deeper if you had them flush to the housing,, you should deff trim that housing so it sits flush, itl sound better, speaker can't do what it's meant to if it's not set right

GMC on my SUV did the same the dash speakers are The Voice the door speakers are the bass I haven’t figured out the back speakers..

But why does the Stocks speaker sound better than the aftermarket when you did the left or right comparison?
Another thing that can throw this off is that stock head unit. I remember having the stock headunit in my 4th gen and it does not output the full volume/potential to your speakers. Bought an aftermarket headunit and my speakers went so much and I mean so so much louder. Has more settings to play with and more volume. I feel like if he bought an after market head unit it could have easily made those speakers even louder than what they sound like on a stock headunit.
Might be from the camera but the after markets definitely sound better
Might need a DSP. The right sounded a little better to me.
The factory head unit is made for those factory speakers, and changes outputs for them and is limiting performance of those top quality speakers. I think your bass is being limited.
Hyyanka's are the best from Amazon... I got a single 10 inch and can't stay in the Crew Cab
Did you have to use longer screws to get the speaker in the door basket? I have a 1500 and have the same 6×9 but the speaker magnet keeps hitting the window plate.

Just a heads up 1/2 spacers are too big. I 3D printed mine there a tad bigger then 1/4.
What floor liner is that? Look at lining the floor of my 04 2500

Does the door speakers give enough bass without amp
cam i had to use 1/2 " spacers on my '17 so the windows would go down all the way. with 6x9s in the rear doors.
So I learned that they make spacers for them. I checked to make sure my window went down all the way before I put the panel back on. Bit I ordered 1/2" spaces cause I want them to sit fully flush. Plus will help with the sound!

I had to put spacers in my doors to fit kickers in my 16 3500 Ram. Magnets were too big.

I bought them from a stereo shop in my town. They had a few different sizes for 6x9’s. I think I got the 1/4 spacers. I forget though, it’s been 5 years since I installed my system. I’m sure you can find them online. On another note, you should check out Fox Acoustics for custom fit sub boxes. They’re bad ass!

Yes sir it is true in only deal is it has one screw in the middle so you going to have to do a little DIY in and take a piece of metal to go across the back so you can put two screws in it's really easy.

Now u don't need a amp for the speakers. A amp will give you the best sound though

Do you think that it would be better then the Bose premier set up ? Got a 21 Chevy 2500 duramax and wanted to go with skar tx 6x9 up front factory size and 6x5 in the back I can’t find anything about Bose what’s the watt on the speakers just hate to put something in there but I know what skar is I have 8’s in my boat and they are clear and got plenty of bass
