Utterly superb. Mark is a mesmerising bass player. How he plays those bass lines and sings as well will always be a constant source of amazement to me. The Jaydee basses are absolutely stunning. Synonymous with Mark. Will always be a fan of this fantastic band.
Mark king inspired me on Bass Guitar watching him play. I'm truly grateful for his Bass playing & the Band Level 42. Vernon
Awesome Mark King Bassist of Level 42
40 years later and they're still improving on this jam.
The Lugano show is my favorite version, but I never resist watching any clip that I can find of Love Games...
Was at this gig with the Mrs and we were near the front - awesome
Thanks for sharing this 😊
Glad you enjoyed it
Mark King is An Awesome Bass player. Absolutely Awesome
Awesome Level 42
When i was a boy of 16years old, we used also try to play there music....in 1981 with our band those days....they where my hero's also for playing jazz and funk! The band and Mark is the King!! Still play there music.....@ almost 59years old, love it!! And this performance of the band is epic, spot on!!
Musicians TODAY should look and learn 😎
I saw L42 in concert for the first time in 1981. I was 16 years old and now I'm 58 years old, how time flies. I listen to L42 almost every day, really. Mark is a legend.
Same! 😎
Same 😊
The man is a genius. Thanks Mark, Mike for the music!
Im Flying Every Time I Listen To Level 42 ☆☆☆☆
How can yo uever get bored of seeing these guys. Fantastic. Hoping they are touring again next year
Masterful handling of a crisis ♥
And what was the crisis? Sounds like the batteries died for the active preamp which is why Mark was toggling back and forth with the active/passive switch.
Cheers men for so much happy music all these years
Hi, L 42, I follow YOU !!!❤ thanks for all your great,Music!!!
Awesome!! Thanks for sharing 🤙
Still got it! What a band!
Love you Mark ❤️
Awesome...thanks for sharing!
such a pro, handeld that bass swap.........
Nice
"i mean nobody wanna hear you hammer away on the low e-string and slap for hours - not unless your name is Mark King" - Qoute Stuat Hamm. That Jay Dee - man i have missed that sound. thanks for the video man 🤩🤩🤩👍👍👍👍👍👍
The Alembics that he used where pretty decent sounding as well.
@@jamesmacleod671 true and i've always loved the status as well, got myself one and it sounds great
AMAZING!!!!
Thanks for posting. That was a fantastic gig.
Craaazy good yo
GOAT.
Rip starchild bass 😂😂
Looks like starchilds pre amp went wonky,, no top end bap!!
He replaced the original pickups with some spare Jaydee pickups. I've read reports of something that happened where the pickups had a short,...I mean, it is a 40+ year old Jaydee,.....something is bound to break down at some point.
Ähmm,i would say:old but not cold!
Nice to see he has gone back to Jaydee basses. Better than the headless Status he used to play. Just my opinion.
Ah, ........Mark's original Jaydee Starchild bass. I know it's the original because it has that god-awful Kahler bridge that he had installed on it
back in the mid '80's. Obviously, he had to swap pickups as recently as two weeks ago because those are not the original pickups with the
walnut tops. I've never seen him switch basses in the middle of a song, either.
You just can't get the basses, can you? Unless you're Mark King, that is.
It appears that John Diggins made two basses from new orders tha Mark put in back in early 2020.
Along with the new cherry red Supernatural, Mark is now playing a brown Supernatural with dot inlays.
CMIIW, but that white bass neck, looks like a 32" scale.
....34"
So he no longer sings "If you won't show your tits to me, set me free." Or maybe he just did that in non-English-speaking places.
LOL!
