Hello doctors, thank you for all the effort you put in your videos. You are probably the best channel on youtube about hair loss and so far the only one i trust. I’m sorry for the question i’m going to ask because it’s a little bit off topic but i’m really confused. I used topical finasteride 0.1% for 2 months (i applied 2 ml as mg doctor advised) after 1 month I experienced an epididymitis. My dermatologist said it has nothing to do with finasteride and my urolgist said the same thing too. Now i’d like to know your opinion as i heard about other people getting epididymitis while using finasteride. Is it a coincidence or could it be a side effect of the medicine?
The Hairloss Show yes, the epididymitis stopped, but i don’t know if it was actually caused by finasteride because i was treating it using the antibiotics that my urologist gave me. But stopping the medication, in the first week i noticed testicular pain in both testicles. ( i never experienced it while i was using the medication) This thing stopped after a week. Talking about other sides i had only decreased libido but after almost 2 months i don’t see any difference. I’m part of the group of people who experienced sides sfter 2 weeks, but kept using the drug for another month. Is there something i can do or just have to accept to have a 80 y.o. man libido?
I know you have to accept yourself and be happy with what we have…. But man…. If only I have a good hair genetic….. I probably don’t know what Finasteride is… and don’t go into trouble to search for these information….. SO NOT FAIR….😒😑

Hello dr please answer my husband been loosing his hair he’s 40 year old and he has a family history also he has type 2 diabetes How much amount or MG Finasteride he should take it?please help
Wait doc Russell says the transplanted hair from the back to the front won’t Recede hasn’t there been a study that proves that the hair transplanted will take on the aspect of the area it has been placed in meaning that hair transplants are not permanent he mad the statement at 13:57 I ask simply as I have been loosing my hair slowly but steady since 22 and am now 31 i am not trying to start any bad with this genuinely curious as I have decided against hair transplant because it is high priced for not guarantee permanent results but he states that the hair transplant will be permanent because the hair on the back doesn’t fall to male pattern hair lose but I honestly did as much investigating as I can into the question that is where I found that hair moved from back to front will then resume the aspects of the top where it starts to thin and shrink without permanent treatment of medication again not nay saying just trying to get an understanding before going off and spending 5 to 12 grand on something that later in three four years just fails
It's literally a gamble, so you NEED to know if you respond well to medication. The hairs that are coded to NOT be susceptible to DHT will never fall; they will thin as you age. Problem is, the only guaranteed "safe zone" it's really small, so most surgeons take grafts from areas that can still bald but have a lower chance of doing so Also, do you use a hair system or something?
Thank you doctors !! this is amazing work.. Can you please suggest shampoo while you are on finasteride and minox regime ...right now i use nizoral twice a week and just wondering is that enough or can add ogx biotin full or any other shampoo for daily use ...any suggestion will be highly appreciated and maybe you can do a podcast on shampoo as well ..thanks
What about a 50 year old with a bit of thinning on the crown? But no bald spot. Hairline is still good. But density isn't like it was on top. Am I a good candidate?
Cause it is only useful at a certain concentration. It lasts 30 days, however the concentration that is present at 10-30 is so little it wont have an affect, hence the need to take it more often.
Is it possible that the reason of losing hair more on the right side than on the left one is connected with the fact that there are more right ended persons the left ended one?
I don't think that there is a minimum number from a logistical perspective that I can do. I am assuming you are asking, what the minimum number of grafts that you would need for receding temples? That this totally dependant on the how low you want to bring your hairline, the type of density you need to create, and lastly skin vs hair colour.
It would be good to see an update of this guy in a few months, especially with the finasteride in the frontal part of his hair. Are you guys advising this patient to be on finasteride forever ?
Dr. Baris ERTURK, MD dear doctors, I want to thank you for this amazing channel, it’s very informative and it helps a lot of us not to make mistakes by taking wrong medications and wrong dosage. Doctors I am 41 and would like to ask you I was taking 1mg of finasteride daily I’ve been on and off for the past 14 years I am now experiencing receding hair line again and a bit on the crown. I started taking finasteride daily for the past 5 months but didn’t notice any changes to be honest most importantly I feel I’m experiencing alot of side effects that people talk about, depression, insomnia, loss of lipido, low semen count.. I was wondering if you could give me advice on which is a better formula for me, 1mg finasteride every other day and 0.5 Dutasteride once a week, or 0.5 finasteride daily and 0.5 Dutasteride once a week? Thank you for your help doctors I am very concerned about my hair loss and even more about the side effects!
Thank you Dr Baris. It is something that we do see. At this point, I would suggest temporarily stopping the finasteride for 2-3 weeks. Let it 'wash' out of your system, then restart at a lower dose. Start at 1mg twice a week. Continue this for a month, then increase to three times per week if you are not getting any side effects. I would suggest the finasteride over the dutatsteride at this point, because since dutatseride blocks both type 1 and type 2 versions of the 5AR enzyme, then you are more likely to get side effects with that. Good luck. Glad you are enjoying the content.
Great idea of video it also helps to understand the balding process. I'm 24 and i had plenty of beautiful hairs (and my father never lost his hairs till his death he had plenty of them but there is baldnes in my mother's branch). 4 month ago i noticed that i lost volume when i went to the sea, and 3 month ago i noticed impressive hair lost in the shower, like i could take of thousands of them by graping them...1 month later the first little bald areas started to apear mostly on the front of my skalp (and also over the nuque in an assumed "safe zone"). I was confused since it was different from male patern baldnes (it was sudent and diffuse, didn't specifically start with the temper area neither the crown, even thought the temper area got affected too). I went to a derma and she told me "that's most probably telogen effluvium and hair gona regrow" but now i don't trust it anymore since it's been 2 month and still getting worse ( not really visible yet from distance but gona have to shave it all in a few weeks.) Just to say that balding can occur in different ways not only male patern baldnes or follow any norwood logic (like the picture on this vid), it can be sudden, start from everywhere (maybe not the side of the head ? x)) and hapen to you even if u seemed to have a plenty of nice quality hairs a few month ago and low genetic issues, it got me really depresive but stay strong ^^ !
One question guys. Whats your thoughts on the use of Kzetokonozole based shampoos and its efficacy and also supplements such as biotin, reservatrol, Vit D, Omega 3, pumpkin seed oil, saw palmetto oil, and peppermint oil (alternative to minoxidil in some studies).
All those are fine but if you have genetic hair loss there is only one thing....Finasteride or maybe Dua. Those other things are good for healthy hair but they won't stop MPB
Could you invite a urologist to one of your videos and discuss his concerns on finasteride please? Dermatologists are happy with finasteride and urologists are very sceptical. I don't understand. Both are experts, so why the opposite thoughts?
If only all the doctors were like them. The level of honesty is really commendable.

My dermatologist said it has nothing to do with finasteride and my urolgist said the same thing too. Now i’d like to know your opinion as i heard about other people getting epididymitis while using finasteride. Is it a coincidence or could it be a side effect of the medicine?
It is not something you see commonly. Did things settle when you stopped the topical finasteride?
The Hairloss Show yes, the epididymitis stopped, but i don’t know if it was actually caused by finasteride because i was treating it using the antibiotics that my urologist gave me. But stopping the medication, in the first week i noticed testicular pain in both testicles. ( i never experienced it while i was using the medication) This thing stopped after a week. Talking about other sides i had only decreased libido but after almost 2 months i don’t see any difference. I’m part of the group of people who experienced sides sfter 2 weeks, but kept using the drug for another month. Is there something i can do or just have to accept to have a 80 y.o. man libido?
Wonderful content.
I know you have to accept yourself and be happy with what we have…. But man…. If only I have a good hair genetic….. I probably don’t know what Finasteride is… and don’t go into trouble to search for these information….. SO NOT FAIR….😒😑

Do eyebrows grow considerably thinner or shed while taking finasteride?🤔
Hello dr please answer my husband been loosing his hair he’s 40 year old and he has a family history also he has type 2 diabetes How much amount or MG Finasteride he should take it?please help
Can you give a review about regenera activa?
Problem is, the only guaranteed "safe zone" it's really small, so most surgeons take grafts from areas that can still bald but have a lower chance of doing so
Also, do you use a hair system or something?
Thank you doctors !! this is amazing work.. Can you please suggest shampoo while you are on finasteride and minox regime ...right now i use nizoral twice a week and just wondering is that enough or can add ogx biotin full or any other shampoo for daily use ...any suggestion will be highly appreciated and maybe you can do a podcast on shampoo as well ..thanks

Hi Vikram and Russell,
cant we transplant our chest hair into the bald areas of our scalp and save donor hairs for future?
What about a 50 year old with a bit of thinning on the crown? But no bald spot. Hairline is still good. But density isn't like it was on top. Am I a good candidate?
This makes me realize how trash my dermatologist is
Theres only 3 good hairloss fighting channels, this, MPMD and Kevin Mann
You must see darling buds channel
so there really is no way dermarolling will have an effect on year-long bald temples. that's quite important information
Hi Docs would you be able to do an online consultation?
Topical Finasteride???
If Fin stays in your skin for 30 days why do you need to take it 3 times a week or even 5?
Cause it is only useful at a certain concentration. It lasts 30 days, however the concentration that is present at 10-30 is so little it wont have an affect, hence the need to take it more often.
Pls open your clinic in India..
Hi Dr's when do you think hair cloning will be available. And what's your opinion on Dr tsjui hair cloning trails? Thank you
i dont live in austraila can i get a online consultation ?
Yall keeping doing GOD's work!!! THis information is so valuable!!!
Is it possible that the reason of losing hair more on the right side than on the left one is connected with the fact that there are more right ended persons the left ended one?
Great stuff gents, what’s the average amount of donor area grafts available?
Thanks for your Knowlege sir.
You are most welcome.
What's the minimum amount of grafts that you would perform? I'm suffering from receding temples and thinning in the front, 28M
I don't think that there is a minimum number from a logistical perspective that I can do. I am assuming you are asking, what the minimum number of grafts that you would need for receding temples? That this totally dependant on the how low you want to bring your hairline, the type of density you need to create, and lastly skin vs hair colour.
Very informative
My hair loss is not the hairline it’s all over my head . What class is that ?
Diffuse balding
does not Jamiee foxx have a hair transplant?
Absolute professionals
It would be good to see an update of this guy in a few months, especially with the finasteride in the frontal part of his hair. Are you guys advising this patient to be on finasteride forever ?
finasteride is for a lifetime - the balding resumes the moment you stop taking it (to be more accurate the moment its gets depleted from your body)
This is Type 3 wd crown What is ur Expert opinion whether U go for FUT Or FUE
Is it an option for a paid Skype, FaceTime or Zoom?
please to more vids on Dutasteride!!!!!!!
I have AGA diagnosed by a trichologist at 23. m
my hair are thinning on the top of the head but still no receding hairline... Anyone else ?
i wish in india we have doctors like u 😒
is finasteride ineffective on aggressive baldness?
Thanks
I got a question. Im wondering if, cutting 5mg finasteride pill is gonna give me pretty equal amount of the drug in each piece?
It doesn't have to be 'exact'. We have just done a video on dosing. That will be up in a couple of weeks.
Omg I receded on the right first too 😪
Thank you doctors for your amazing work you put behind those videos. It really is super helpful.
I went to a derma and she told me "that's most probably telogen effluvium and hair gona regrow" but now i don't trust it anymore since it's been 2 month and still getting worse ( not really visible yet from distance but gona have to shave it all in a few weeks.)
Just to say that balding can occur in different ways not only male patern baldnes or follow any norwood logic (like the picture on this vid), it can be sudden, start from everywhere (maybe not the side of the head ? x)) and hapen to you even if u seemed to have a plenty of nice quality hairs a few month ago and low genetic issues, it got me really depresive but stay strong ^^ !

Is it possible for minoxidil to shed hair and have it not grow back upon starting to use it?
Thoughts on Gyno and finasteride ? Many people have reported they developed breast tissue due to finasteride and that's putting me off using it.
That concern comes from the issue of estrogen. Check back for tomorrow's video. You might like that one!
I really feel sad for people when i see they have no confidence left in them because of balding...
It really does take a toll on you especially if you're very young...
@@alejandrojasso6177 yup. Started when I was 17
What is your thought on finasteride 0.5mg everyday? Please reply. Thanks
That is fine. If you can only tolerate that dose, then that is better than nothing.
this is so depressing seeing my chances of dating diminish before my eyes
Lol
so could you pick donor hair from areas that would age naturally with the hair behind it ? so it would look natural as ageing proceeds ?
We can't lose hair from behind of our head in 99% cases, you can see people around you who's in their 60s 70s or 80s
I want to start the therapy with Finasteride! I'm 41 years old! It is good age to begin with it?
For sure. The right age to start is when you start noticing hair loss.
@@TheHairLossShow Thanks for answer me! I start with my loss at 35, i hope is not too late!
Would like to hear your thoughts on topical finasteride
Stay tuned.... video on that coming soon.
@@TheHairLossShow Great! Would be good if you have an info on the optimal vehicles and any possible benefits from liposomal formulations.
Do you know much about Eckloia Cava and its positive effects on hair growth?
One question guys. Whats your thoughts on the use of Kzetokonozole based shampoos and its efficacy and also supplements such as biotin, reservatrol, Vit D, Omega 3, pumpkin seed oil, saw palmetto oil, and peppermint oil (alternative to minoxidil in some studies).
All those are fine but if you have genetic hair loss there is only one thing....Finasteride or maybe Dua. Those other things are good for healthy hair but they won't stop MPB
Are there any surgeons you would recommend in the US?
Did you find out?
So basically if you're in your twenties and have similar hair line as this guy you are screwed...
Could you invite a urologist to one of your videos and discuss his concerns on finasteride please? Dermatologists are happy with finasteride and urologists are very sceptical. I don't understand. Both are experts, so why the opposite thoughts?
