- - In regards to the comments about us putting them right on ebay, we sold the box and cards because none of us PC LeBron and you have to be able to pay for these and afford more cards. If you can dump $1,800 on a case of cards and keep all of them, I'm happy for you. That was not us at that time.
- Yes, I know (NOW) that we could have held them and been bajillionaires 14 years later. Where were you in 2008 to let me know the market would erupt all these years later?
- Don't ask why the camera isn't 4k. This was 2008, guys.
- For those asking, we got about $6k for the box and cards. At the time, this was a decent return. - กีฬา

@@juliansmith4153 I have a ton of non-sports cards that are worth a mint today like the 1st three versions of Star Wats cards in high condition, never mind the wacky packages, three stooges ect ect. Problem is I had them too long to sell them!

Exactly, some people all they think is about money. Don't care much about the beauty of the actual product. They didn't even try enjoy the card or the actual moment for more than 5mins; just thinking how much they'll get for it on ebay.

Thanks! As for the holders... They're 130pt One Touch magnetic holders and they cost $1.50 each at the card shop where I get them.
I’m just jumping back in time to remember what it was like to open a box and get your monies worth.
Also good to see a high end box “only” cost $700. I can barely find regular boxes for that much these days.
This was the beginning though. People with more money than sense buying up high end product as an investment and not for the love if the hobby.
I know...I remember when I could go to walmart, or target and buy some cards, but the way the people who work there tell it the day they have a new shipment they have 5-10 guys waiting to buy them all up immediately. Then I see them on ebay selling for 3 times what they bought them for. Collecting has gone crazy these days!

I had some insane offers,3 were over $20,000!!! Its great it only took 3 cases to get the card, and now the card is on its way to Beckett to get graded, then back to me trophy case!!! I LOVE doing live breaks, and collecting cards is my hobby, and what i love to do in my pass time, if i pull a few cards out of a case i dont want, or need to clear up some extra space i may put them on ebay, but never do i go into a break thinking about ebay ebay ebay...

Robert Thornhill trust me it ain't worth shit now. In football, I had the $2000 Shaun Lee auto sp authentic rookie that was going through the roof in 2004 and never sold it. Kicking myself in the ass ever since cause it's worth about $29 now

I must have read that wrong. I thought it was EVERY card. In any case, it's a great box, either way, so I'm not complaining. As for the 1/1, I think it's a nice card, as I said, but i pulled a couple of those last month from cheaper boxes. At $550 for 5 cards, a 1 of 1 rookie won't have me jumping up and down without material or an auto. It's a great card, though.

@anthcybo It's exciting to pull something like this. That's why we spent so much. As for the end buyer of the cards, it's about having something nobody else has, I guess.
