This year it isn’t so hot but last year the Absolute Gravity Packs were the best kept secret. Just like Donruss, Absolute guarantees one rookie and one yellow parallel per pack. But in the 2022 Absolute gravity packs you could score numbered cards quite often. I pulled a number Purdy and a numbered Pickett (back when Pickett had value). Both sold for over $40. And I was able to sell most of the yellow rookies in Absolute and Donruss for several dollars. I pulled a yellow Chet in the Donruss basketball and that obviously paid for all the basketball. But this year Absolute seems to be bone dry. And Score changed theirs up from Yellow Parallels to orange.

@@Pluralizes_everythings. the other guy was correct. Purdy is not in that set. I was wrong. I had to go back and look at my sales because when he mentioned that, it completely confused me because I knew I pulled it. But the Purdy was not from an Absolute gravity. I was mistaken, it was a Herbert, not a Purdy. And while Herbert still made a few dollars it wasn’t close to the Purdy brought. But hey, can’t complain over a dollar pack. Sorry about that guys, wasn’t trying to mislead anyone
@@Pluralizes_everythings. I nor my son have pulled anything worthwhile at all from any 2023 gravity packs. Not sure if we got lucky on the 2022 sets or this year is just dry. I’m not sure what you can or can’t pull from 2023 Absolute. Prestige packs say you can pull a multitude of different inserts and parallels (numbered and autos) but I haven’t seen anyone pull anything good yet.

Of course everyone is free to buy what they want but these gravity packs for $1 are basically the only things young kids can afford in retail. Prices for blaster boxes are crazy nowadays and these are a nice option for younger kids with limited money. Resellers are buying them all and leaving nothing for the kids.
If a family is that broke they don't need to be worrying about trading cards man I got thousands of common cards if poor kids want some give me their address I'll mail em out free of charge but don't make this hobby about that it's not a charity event if a kid wants toys they have programs for that trading cards are big business

Yes very good to do but u gotta hold for quite awhile for real good value... Plus takes a lot of discipline if ur like me and love ripping wax..

Never heard of Family dollar but I saw some Topps baseball at Dollar tree once, all base cards. Seems like it would be cheaper to just buy mega boxes 🤷
Can I ask what your method is for the rows you put your cards in? I understand the far left is the best, and far right are the base, but what is your middle row?

I watched this the morning it came out run to my Family Dollar and picked up a full box they had just gotten a couple days before I pulled a Puka yellow A Purdy yellow A Levis yellow A base Stroud and check this out a Michael Vick auto card!! Thanks for the heads up!!
They used to sell cards at dollar general though but I haven't seen any since about 2020. Sadly I have no family dollar stores within 100 miles of me.

I've been snagging these whenever possible. Every full box I get has had enough roi 2 pay for the product. I normally get a yellow stroud, young, LaPorta and others. Hoops I normally get wemby orange 4 sure, 20 some dollar card. Donruss blasters/ mega have many base cards outta 15, so minus downtown possibilities not a bad deal.
When you pull a nice rookie, how often would you say that card is good enough to grade? Seems like every Prizm has random dimples and off centered badly. I feel like the mosaic has less flaws than the others
It’s super tough these days. You really have to look at centering but more importantly the surface of the card

I just hit a huge restock myself. Around 40 prizm football blasters a couple prizm basketball blasters 1 donruss basketball blaster and around 20 day packs of prizm football fat packs. So very big

If we’re talking about for the next 5-10 years I’m taking Laporta all day. They’re neck and neck right now, I’d give the slight edge to Kittle because of experience but long term I think Laporta is the guy
