I ordered one in shelter green in late july. Can't wait to pick it up. Its my first pickup truck and first "enthusiast" vehicle. I looked at everything in the segment starting with the tacoma, then the zr2/atx4, and settled down with the RR after months of homework.
Just got mine and am amazed how smooth the ride is love it .

Strongly looking at both. The exhaust sound for the Ranger might be the deciding vote.
Im a ford guy all the way, but MAN! those new gmc canyons are gorgeous.
Same the GMC it’s nice just in other reviews it’s slow and this one they say feels a little bit more sporty well a lot more , a tune an exhaust and intake this will fly on Baja runs and I need more power becaUse I pull a can am
It’s too expensive for what it is. Worse shocks, less standard features, and much worse engine

Wanna put my 2 cents in about the plastic fuel tank skid. I was on the parkway last night in my Ranger Raptor going about 50 mph, and hit an unexpected rather large puddle and it bent the plastic skid plate back. 10/10 recommendation upgrading that lol
This is the first channel that I’ve seen mention spending above msrp for a ranger raptor. All the others I’ve seen spent around msrp. One channel said he spent 2k above msrp

Still can't see myself justifying it being 10k more than a ZR2 or still thousands more than an at4x. This looks 20k cheaper than the gm twins and looks like a maverick with a 2in lift. Hp is sick! And sound is good for a truck I guess, coming from a FBO M2 I didn't buy the truck for sound haha

Cool truck but ill say for doing truck activities off road powerwagon or superduty tremor wins easily. This truck is nice if you dont have much to haul or tow though
Agreed, but these midsized trucks fit down more trails and parking lots. This size and payload are for those that need or want a truck, but not for work.

Poor GVM, load capacity and towing and much more expensive than the Ranger with the V6 turbo or 2L Bi-Turbo which are good enough for all that you throw at a pickup / ute
I do dig the looks of the RR, especially in that green color. I could do without the decals, however - have never liked the Raptor logo.

I've got a green one on order and my dealer agreed to remove all the stickers. Unfortunately it's not possible to get rid of the orange splashed all over the interior.
@@skyoung419z That’ll be a sharp ride! I like some color inside, but the orange in there is a bit much even for me. I’m sure there’ll be some black or silver trim bits on the aftermarket. Or replace with non-Raptor bits from Ford.
Taps on a steel skid plate and hears an obvious metal sound. Proceeds to call it plastic and the fuel tank is not even close to that part of the truck. Lol.
Better for what? Baja desert racing? Yes. Crawling off road? No.
I think this version is way too vanilla looking. You do get a lot of value for the money though, especially if you compare it to the Bison or TRD Pro. That said, the GMC, Chevy, and Toyota TRD Pro look so much more aggressive and in my opinion, are befitting of their off-road reputation. This Raptor doesn’t look befitting of the Raptor name. The Raptor Bronco and F150’s look way more aggressive stout. All of that to say that it still offers the most against those others and you just can’t compare the cost against them either. Ford RR for the win!
Nice truck, but I wish the Ranger would go back to its roots, which are being a small simple, reliable, affordable truck.
Rangers are reliable and it's proven as it's been sold in Aus for a few years without issues. Simple and affordable is another story.

I mean the Ranger starts at 34 which isnt too bad. If you need lower than that then the Maverick is a good choice too.

I put a front Locker on my Titan Pro-4x when it was stock before my other mods and it out performed a ZR2 and TRD Pro and Jeep Gladiator. I know from experience.

it's called a truck in North America (ute in Australia & Bakkie in South Africa)
pickups were originally called "pickup trucks", so it's okay to call it a pickup or a truck.
They are "offroad" because they are raised up from the ground... But its actually incredible how incompetent american pickup trucks are at offroad driving.

Lets face it. Its not just pickup trucks America cant make. its ANY quality product regardless of what industry were talking. They have the same straight axle and suspension technology since medieval ox carts. They are still dragging that differential in the dirt. Literally nothing has happened since, what... The 70s.
People who want a pickup truck, get what they ask for. But the only thing that has had progress is more and more power. The only "offroad" capabilities they have, is because they are slightly raised and usually have large wheels. Regardless of "spec sheets", they have no new technology or engineering.

US made pickup trucks are now the best the humanity has to offer in terms of capability. Yeah, some might not be as reliable as toyitas once were, but even todays toyotas aren't as reliable as older ones.
