You asked for feedback, so here goes! I think its really hard to have coverage that simultaneously caters for people who know nothing or very little about racing, and those who really know quite a lot. I really enjoyed your previous coverage at the Kiel event because the analysis was catering to the latter, and I was really learning a lot (especially from Lily!) even as an experienced sailor (female helm of a Dragon!). This time you seen to be trying to do both which is a bit less ideal - one minute you are discussing advanced tactics and the next someone is describing what a trapeze is .. I don't know what the solution is, but understanding who is watching this stream (I might guess is mainly the latter group) could help better tailor the content! Anyway, I don't mean this as a critique, more a hopefully helpful comment! Love the coverage!
Thank you so much for your feedback, I have been giving this a lot of thought.❤ Our goal is to reach a wide an audience as possible and promote not only this event but the region and the wider sport of sailing. On day 5 we shall try and add more technical comment as we focus in on the Champions 🏆 of each fleet.
(a) Pumping: the World Sailing Interpretations of Rule 42 define “fanning” as “moving a sail in and out not in response to wind shifts, gusts or waves.” So for a sail to be “pumped,” it must be repeatedly pulled in and then re-leased with no apparent connection with wind shifts or gusts, and this is illegal.
420 class rules (I believe how it is defined, 420 sailors pls correct me) basically say that above a certain wind strength, rule 42 turns off (they fly the o flag), and sailors can do whatever they want!! Makes it more physical!!
Great coverage, thanks and cheers from #Chile !!⛵

Yes it is difficult with such a wide audience, ideally with over 2 hours of content there is something for everyone :)

Excellent commentary!
Why is kiting never on stream
Good questions. Do KiteClasses have the rights to it? Would be good to see some of the kiting coverage from this event.
it's boring
Check out the live feed from day 5!
sorry but at 13:30 ish -- Gre - the leader is cheating --- Rule 42 states fanning or pumping the sails is illegal
