Hi Turner love watching you paint especially the sunflowers ! I saw Van Gough painting of sunflowers in person ,absolutely stunning.i stared at it for minutes the vibrations coming off his sunflowers gave me goosebumps ,and some of your sunflowers do the same ,spectacular ! When I saw you scraping off the large flower, I gasped. But what you put back in is perfect for the painting. It's so lovely. The viewer can feel the warm summer breeze.

Hi Turner ... this painting is dynamic! What is really interesting is the way you put the paint on with passion and purpose ... building up the layers and using your fingers for a different line or texture ... also not hesitating to scrape off something that's not working ... your process is very inspiring and encouraging for painters that want to be bolder in applying color and thicker paint! Really appreciate that you take the time to film and post these videos! 👍

painting Bolder and larger is a goal of mine. I’ve been painting small to medium size oil paintings for the last 20 years and need to break out into something more spontaneous.!

@pleinaire8698 Not trying to be weird or anything, but I’d encourage you to check out my online course. It will help with spontaneity, being more bold, decisive, etc!!

Hello, I am an acrylic painter. I love watching you paint and your paintings are awesome. If I painted that thick with acrylic, I'm afraid the paint would crack. I assume you are painting with oils, how long does it take for them to dry when you paint so thick and aren't you afraid of them cracking?

just wondering how long it takes for the paint to dry??
two months ..six months 6years??❤
Wish we had an answer, I would imagine a few weeks minimum.
@@gusmarreroI paint very much with the same impasto and mine take at least 6 months to dry. However, the first layers may still be too moist for me to varnish it.
It can be dry to the touch within a week or two, but to fully cure all the way through, would likely be a year maybe two

It is usually dry to the touch within a week or two, but it could take a year or more to fully cure the oil

You apply so much paint to the canvas. Why not use a palette knife at times?
I’ve tried it, but I just prefer the brush
