Hi Peter. I'm from Melbourne too. Travelled to South Island with three girls in November last year. We hired a six birth motor home. My best holiday ever. South Island is stunning. And Rving is definitely the best way to travel NZ. Thanks for sharing your memories guys!

Hi Victor, so glad you enjoyed the video I just can't wait to get back to that beautiful country with my drone.
It is indeed a lovely place to take your family on a holiday and we are fortunate that it is only a few hours away on a plane to get there.
      Many thanks for subscribing.
      Peter

Peter Crespin Yes. I'd love to go back too. To go Rving in free campsites and fishing and do some photography. Would probably concentrate around Te Anau / Milford Sound. To explore it more in depth and to do some hiking Too.

Victor, you have to see the North Island as well it is just as breathtaking in its own way.
I am going to Vietnam in April for my first visit there and am considering NZ later in the year definitely in a camper van!

    Hi Ajay,
Many thanks for your kind comments.
We spent about 7 days in Christchurch, Picton and Auckland in total just chilling out (relaxing)
We were not under the pump, if that is any help.
The roads we travelled on we're in great condition and the traffic reasonably quiet, compared to OZ.
Anyhow you won't be sorry as NZ is stunning, I can't wait to get back there with a drone.
    ENJOY!!!

Nothing much to add except, I think you will find the roads very good and reasonably quite.
You won't be sorry going because NZ is such a beautiful place, go enjoy!!

Hi Peter, this is really nicely put together. I am just editing my own version of a similar trip taken over 7 visits to New Zealand. I wish I had taken more footage of Christchurch before the quakes, I really enjoyed your pre-quake sequence. I have returned since the quake, it is heart breaking to see and the rebuild is taking a while. I am looking forward to watching Part 2. I appreciate the amount of work that goes into editing a video like this. Well done and thanks for posting.

Hi Peter. Brilliant ! Super ! The most informative 3 part video about New Zealand. Thanks for sharing with us your experience. I am motivated to follow somewhat the similar itinerary for our forthcoming trip to NZ. Just a questions ; Can we follow the same road schedule as yours and complete in say 14-15 days as I understand you took a couple of days more than three weeks ? Cheers !

Some great views of Christchurch my home town. So sad to see so many of the buildings featured here either collapsed in the earthquake or demolished shortly afterwards. The city I knew and grew up in, has gone forever.Very sad

    Hi Enoc,
sorry I never got back earlier but we are in Bali at the moment and I am
Finding my iPad very limiting, if you sort of follow my route you will have
a great time, but just take it as it comes, but you will love the place!!

New Zealand is a really scenic country and i was shocked to find out that there is deforestation there. It was once 100 percent forested until man arrived.I guess visitors don't notice it because of the Mountains

      Hi Steve,
there are still parts of the South Island around Milford Sound area untouched, many beautiful walking tracks.

    • @lilromance95
      @lilromance95 8 ปีที่แล้ว

I love to see Milford Sounds.I hate deforestation .Look what happened to Australia ?Deforestation caused alot of evironmental damage.I am glad that National parks were created,so us nature lovers can enjoy the pristine beauty of them.look forward to more great videos,Thank you

    • @BlackPete...

Yep. NZ is not immune to greed. Even people who live on the gorgeous wild West Coast of the South Island are very anti-green and see deforestation as the way forward "because it creates employment". Short-sighted fools... Unbelievable how utterly mindless some people can be. There is still plenty of nature to see in NZ. Check out www.nznationalparks.com to see some of the beauty of NZ's unspoilt national parks.
