I have the same adapter an also got it from Amazon. It was shipped to me from Italy to Arizona and included free shipping. Great Adapter! I found out the same way you did on Astro Bloke.

so the Ioptron adapter still has use with my Atlas mount... this little piece is needed to make it work with the Sirius mount. an adapter for an adapter, CS
you need to call Orion Telescopes & binoculars. talk to tech support and tell them you need the Atlas EQ-G post. it is not on the website. I think it was maybe 15 bucks I can't remember
I have a chance of getting a skywatcher eq-6 tripod to go with my heq5 pro head. The eq6 has the polar alignment post.if I get this adapter will it fit over the polar alignment post.or do I have to saw off the post(because it won't reach) the heq5 polar align.will I have to get another post to put on the adapter plate.
I'm not sure. I know that you can use a bolt maybe m10 to use as a post, check Astobloke's video. he used a bolt for the post. I wouldn't cut anything off. I know the EQ-5 tripod has a fixed post, the EQ-6 does not.

I have a HEQ5 PRO HEAD, and I have the chance of purchasing a SKYWATCHER HEQ6 TRIPOD for a very good price my question is, if I purchase the adapter for the HEQ6 TRIPOD will I be able to mount the HEQ5 PRO onto the HEQ6 TRIPOD....(The reason I'm asking is because it is hard finding a an heq5 tripod. And if you find 1 its in the united kingdom.they have some on Ebay but they are asking to much for them).thankyou in advance..

I think it should work, the Orion sirius mount is basically the HEQ5 and the Atlas Mount is the SW EQ6.
