Wat a great interview.!!! Keervani is soft spoken and such a unique personality which always comes through in his music or whatever he speaks. He spoke so eloquently and with great clarity. He worked for some of the biggest blockbusters in telugu all along his career. Oscar is one more feather in his cap.Wish he keeps working for a long time to come. Rajamouli is the master of visually representing emotion on screen, however Keeravani is a master of making us feel those emotions. His songs are amazing of course, but he is phenomenal with background score. Every OST score will bring back a scene to your eyes, right from Magadheera to RRR. The accolades and recognition was long overdue for him. And he comes off as such a humble and cute person. Such pride to us!

True, once after watching the movie couple of times. Just listen to the BGM of entire movie and you can visualise entire movie on your own. I have not observed this kinds music from any other music director.
It's great that many people are observing this. You can listen to OST and can visualize the entire movie. Every scene has its own unique bgm.
Magadheera my favourite.
He is a person who can easily recover from any kind of hurt/insult he gets. But it also left deep scars inside him and Is evident from the way he speaks. His is a example of a exemplary life that if u keep working keep learning keep yourself up to date keep yourself busy one day success will be yours..Keeravani guru is a living example for that.
MM Keeravani's musical style is quite unique.
For example "Bangaru Kodi Petta" song from GHARANA MOGUDU-1992 the style, the rhythm, the beats and the swag was incredible.

Janani in RRR,jeeva Nadi in Bahubali.....are some level of work
Jeeva Nadhi is so underrated but the goosebumps and high it gives when u watch it as whole in movie bahubali 1 and it comes at end. So soulful.

Wow.. this is one of the most profound interviews I have listened to. This person is just very significant in his thoughts. I am not a huge fan of the song that won him the Oscar and just heard that he too thought that it was just another song. There are very beautiful songs of his, which I would like to listen more than Nattu.
He is called as Hans Zimmer of India but today he is one and only one Keeravani. His greatest song which will tear up anyone is 'Raalipoye puvva...' from Maathrudevo Bhava.

A small correction, it's not tyagaraja songs,they are annamayya keerthanas,, A few keerthanas were used i the movie that were modified for the film. But there are other songs in that movie which are still so good after so manyy years.
Not just "annamayya", some of my favorites are from the movie "seetha ramayyagari manavaralu", "rajeswari kalyanam", shubhasankalpam ( directed by the great K viswanath garu)

In general, Telugu audience are open to any content/ actors from any language. There were dubbed movies from Tamil, Kannada , Hindi, Malayalam doing well in Telugu earlier.
More than RRR i think BAHUBALI was his best be it LYRICS,TUNE,MUSIC especially BGM i can never the experience BAHUBALI 2 had on me never i watched every RAJAMOULI movie B1&2 & eega was something else the RAWNESS
