I just feel like we all need a road trip to Grants Pass to spend at least 3 days shadowing the Jordans to soak up all their sewing, quilting, and fabric knowledge. Thank you for your generosity in sharing your expertise with us. I, for one, am grateful. Happy Quilting! :)
I was trying to recall your trick for getting that outside seam allowance to fold exactly on the seam line, so I was tickled to see your "roll up a bit, smush, and finger press" that seam allowance. Voila! It lays back down exactly on the seam! I regret all the time I've spent licking my fingers, and rolling, and pressing a little at a time when turning facings and 'stitch & flip' projects ... goodness sakes. Thanks for showing this better method again.
Thank you Donna for your tutorials, what a blessing you and your family are. May you and yours have happy holidays. You are an inspiration and I have sewed 50 yrs but quilting only 3 yrs thank you is not enough.
I found a similar panel and accent fabric. I watched and watched this video. Then I got brave to make the first cut. You make it so easy. Thank you. So much
I bought that material at a craft fair (just because I loved the material) and have been wondering what to do with it. You have solved my dilemma. Thank you Donna, I love all of your videos and I have learnt so much from them. You are the first video channel I go to on TH-cam.
Oh wow I was looking at the comments about this and notice the one before mine said Grants Pass, I use to live there and still have family in the area which we love to visit, so next road trip we will be stopping by. Love these videos.
Lovely fabric choices give a sophisticated effect....and don't you love the 'stitch 'n flip' method....I even use it on my t-shirt quilts as it gives a polished look with no binding! Thanks, Donna!
I know it has been a while since you did this post. I always have thought of making quilts with the smaller panels. Why was I so narrow minded. I really need now to get place mats out of many of these little panels. Thank you for having this very simple pattern for placemats. Now I have to get busy. I have too large of a collection of panels and really need to down size.
Donna flower, the place mats are just gorgeous and the tree napkins just finish off the place setting. All we need you to do now is a runner for down the center of the table for all the table essentials to go on ;). Sorry, that's me being cheeky again but i do like everything to match like that, hee, hee, hee. Thank you flower for sharing your wonderful hands and that gorgeous material with us all once more. Each time you go to get a complimenting fabric you must here me getting excited saying "pick that one Donna, pick that one" and today for me it was the black that just sung out to be used in the making of these gorgeous place mats, so you must have heard me. Crafty hugs to you from Norah, Glenochil Village, Central Scotland
I watch your TH-cams ALL the time. I leave a little more every time. You always have such helpful hints ! They can be applied to MANY other projects ! Thanks for all you do !
What a lifesaver this pattern is. I had purchased a panel several yrs ago and when I recently got around to it, I had decided on placemats and had no idea where to start until I googled pre-made panel placemats and this video came up. Love it! Thank you Jordan fabrics.
I am so very happy to have found you. I am amazed at the speed you move to do your tutorials. I love to listen to you because your voice is calm and clear and a great level to understand every word you say. I am going to try the placemats after Christmas. Thanks for sharing all the tips/tricks and patterns with us.
I agree with all the previous comments. Thank you so much. Also love the ideas of who to give things to. Love making the quilt stuff and surprise hostess gifts are a return to more gracious times that is welcome.
Hi my name is Leticia Kennach. Want to share the pics of the wall quilts I put together with your guidance and instruction. Don't know where to send the pics lol. You see I lost my Dad in 2011, I couldn't bear to throw away his old shirts. We are Native American so the star quilts have a special meaning to us. After watching the tutorials on your channel I knew what I could do with the old shirts. The star in the quilts are all made from his old shirts. Which posed a bit of a challenge. Some were very thin others thick. But I followed everything you said to do and did both in 2 days. I wanted to thank you for your kindness. The quilts I made are going to my brothers. We live in Idaho and my husband said he will bring my to your store come spring. I look forward to shopping at your store. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH. Leticia
You are so amazing how you use a scissor and sew without pins, I love your videos! I’ve been a quilter since 1998 but only getting back to it now after losing my sister 5 years ago. Thankyou for your patterns as well!
You are AWESOME!! Sharing your knowledge the way you do! I can't begin to tell you how many times I have passed by panel fabrics because they are 'wonky' on the bolt. I had no idea they could be ironed into submission!! Your teaching is spot on, I followed your trip around the world quilt to a T and it came out absolutely perfect, I couldn't have asked for a better teacher! I hope you realize what a help you truly are to those of us who are anywhere but Grants Pass. Such an inspiration. Thank you and many blessings to you and yours this Holiday season and all year long.
I really found your method of getting the edges flat after turning. I always look forward to your videos as I have only been quilting just over a year and always learn something. Thank you.
Oh man, you make everything look so easy. You explain your stuff so well, and your voice is nice and even and it’s very enjoyable to listen to you. Thank you so much for this tutorial and all of your tutorials. You’re a natural at this, and man, can you sew! Great job, thank you!
Donna, I have used your trick to top stitch from the back side and it works great, especially on your prairie point table runner. I appreciate your tips, inspiration and high-quality fabric.
Wow…. I am so impressed with your teaching. You have made it so easy for me to understand. I have learning issues, even at my senior age.... It is so nice to have someone explain things in a manner that I can understand! I LOVE your tips, especially with these panels. The one time I attempted working with panels was disastrous! I visit your page and you tube instructions more than all the others because NOW, I don't deal with frustration. Thank you so much for taking the time to do these tutorials! It just gives me the confidence that I need.
Donna, these are so gorgeous....and your little hints/tips here and there are sooooo helpful!!! I just wish I could roam through your fabric store and pick up fabric at will LOL - what a dream!!! :-)
Wow, another great idea for either Christmas gifts or for your family's dinner. I took notes and another great project. Again, many thanks to you Donna!
HI Jordan it's my pleasure to say how much I love and appreciate your excellent work shown to us , you make sewing quilt looks enjoyable & fun.looking forward more fun projects thank you 2
Hi Donna. I was wondering if you would do a tutorial for a 9x13 quilted casserole serving dish , not a carrier but just something pretty you could put your 9x13 casserole dish in to put on the table and serve from. Please include measurements. These would make great gifts, especially paired with matching napkins and placemats. Love all your tutorials and have done many! Thanks. 🌺❤️😀
Oh my, so beautiful. And so timely. Just last week I bought some panel fabric too beautiful to leVe in store. (Australia) now I know why I bought it. Once again so inspiring. Thankyou thankyou thankyou
There hasn't been any one of your tutorials that I have watched where I've not learned something new... whether it's color combo, cutting technique, sewing method, etc. You also make each item so easy that I am inspired to do more with my own stash. Thank you for all your time on these wonderful projects.
You are a fantastic quilter and creator of beautiful projects. I find myself pretty much hooked on watching your videos. I'm am now planning on making at least one placemat to see if I am good at it. Yes, congratulation, just do it. Don´t fear. It´s not difficult. I wish you success and fun.

I was on a road trip. I did stop by. Some other employees came out and they were nice as can be. Gave me some swag even. Very positive experience.
I've watched this one several times (like I do most of them!) and enjoy it more and more each time.
Wow what a V-8 moment.I have a panel that has been stuffed in a drawer for ages. I am now going to make place mats. Thank you so much for the idea.

Donna, your attention to detail amazes me!
Donna thanks soo muvfc h for your videos. I LOVE HOW YOU SHOW US HOW TO BE ACCURATE VERY EASILY
I love free motion quilting. So I would probably stitch the actual panel before doing the rest. I would outline the medalion and other elements.
