I am getting a Dante's Inferno vibe from it(the game) but when you read the poem, Dante explains that babies are in Hell for not being baptized. So their sin may just be that nobody baptized which is fucked up....

They are a fresh consciousness with no knowledge of good and evil, making them extremely susceptible to things in a very similar possessive fashion as the character in this game. Its up to the parents to be in the light of God as well, and to pass on the purity, until the baby is old enough to make his own decisions.The fucked up part is where parents dont pay attention to their own lives and therefore the longevity of their childrens soul. I absolutely love the audio in this game so far. The purple wispy effects combined with that chime sound are perfect. I know some are saying it seems bland, but to me it looks like an immersive game. I hope it plays such that you have to learn the rules and tricks of hell to navigate your way through and that you can do it at your own pace. Also, this game is early in development so I am sure we will see more game mechanics as it progresses.

This could just mean destruction, or perhaps Satan is considered the first-born of God, Apollo the son of Zeus. Perhaps the last demon plays a mean lyre. But the Red Goddess is a Mayan goddess so who knows where they are going with this?

the game title fits totally with the images im seeing and it looks unique and awesome. the enviroment gives you that sense of oppression and despair in the way it has been done which tells you you cant escape your fate. it will be a masterpiece cant wait to see more. for me there's should be more satanic games like that i hope it will not be banned for too much explicit violence

Also called exploring. The people who put most of their time into discovering every landscape of MMO games for example, most certainly like to play a game like this. As that is basically all you do, with the advantage of being rewarded from time to time. While in MMO games you just do it because you can and want to, not for the rewards and such, but mainly because there is alot of eye candy to discover.
GatsuKS you see, some people like to play all types of game plays, i kind of like the way they are going with agony, kinda like going int to a haunted house attraction on Halloween, you feel defenseless and scared as you walk through the horrifyingly beautiful yet disturbing atmosphere. and obviously it's not just walking, they showed there is going to be some problem solving situations in the game.

There isn't anyone around who can save you from your death and you are always alone and don't talk at all (except for your cries of pain and agony) in the darkness where a creature can pop up silently behind you and blaring music makes you flip out and throw your controller or mouse as far as possible lol This game is very slow paced and tame with only good quality gore and blood to show. I want those chills from random objects falling around me that will make me run fast and not look back or turn quick to investigate. We'll have to wait for more gameplay!
It's ALMOST Rocket Science now see that's the thing I only got jump scares from Dead space since well if you give me a horror and give me a rather decent combat system where I can effectively take out the enemies if I get good enough the game loses all horror to me. This game seems to me to be more atmospheric horror than anything which is the type I prefer.
+Dante McMahon I getcha, the problem with Dead Space is the fact that it was first marketed as a solo survival game that emphasizes the horror of Independence and having to rely on your mind's sharpness on whether or not to investigate with clever traps or flukes to keep you on your toes at all times. As the game progresses it does so in a linear fashion with the same tricks that get boring if the combat is easy, but still manages that panicked sensation on more difficult modes. This game, Agony, I believe? Is not exactly a step down, but it just uses different elements of horror like helplessness, and grotesque stomach churning environments, as well as puzzles that may at some point be timed to push that sense of urgency if an enemy is coming towards you to solve it sloppily. I like the atmosphere, but personally it seems like they forced too much of it in rather than improve urgency or sudden, unexpected encounters with enemies that instantly kill you. Overall, this game is good, but I find it similar to a game called 'Prey' if you've heard of it? It's an oldie, but it plays similar to this game if you don't mind the old graphics lol

One of the many concepts in Hell is to die over and over again as if it was the first time every time. So, it makes sense to have to hold your breath to feel more Human per-se and it adds to the survival feel. I also wonder what happens if you hold it too long, maybe you exhale real loud bringing attention to you or something.

Bloody hell...So much......So much walking! You walk and walk, peek at something, and walk some more. This honestly doesn't look scary to me. More like Dante's Inferno meets Shadowman. Except packing an art style that's trying a bit too hard. Regardless I'm optimistic about Agony. Sound design seems great, and the combat could be exciting. Actually I think this Hell one uped the Hell in the Dante´s inferno game. This one doesn´t only look, but feels like what Dante had in mind when he wrote the poem!
You play as one of the many tormented souls of hell with all your memories stripped away from you but you then find out that you can posses people and simple minded demons for reasons you don't understand. You then begin to explore hell for a way out using your new found powers. That's what I could piece together from the wiki and the game site anyways.

Also called exploring. The people who put most of their time into discovering every landscape of MMO games for example, most certainly like to play a game like this. As that is basically all you do, with the advantage of being rewarded from time to time. While in MMO games you just do it because you can and want to, not for the rewards and such, but mainly because there is alot of eye candy to discover.
GatsuKS you see, some people like to play all types of game plays, i kind of like the way they are going with agony, kinda like going int to a haunted house attraction on Halloween, you feel defenseless and scared as you walk through the horrifyingly beautiful yet disturbing atmosphere. and obviously it's not just walking, they showed there is going to be some problem solving situations in the game.

To be honest Dead Space is creepier than this. There isn't anyone around who can save you from your death and you are always alone and don't talk at all (except for your cries of pain and agony) in the darkness where a creature can pop up silently behind you and blaring music makes you flip out and throw your controller or mouse as far as possible lol This game is very slow paced and tame with only good quality gore and blood to show. I want those chills from random objects falling around me that will make me run fast and not look back or turn quick to investigate. We'll have to wait for more gameplay!

It's ALMOST Rocket Science now see that's the thing I only got jump scares from Dead space since well if you give me a horror and give me a rather decent combat system where I can effectively take out the enemies if I get good enough the game loses all horror to me. This game seems to me to be more atmospheric horror than anything which is the type I prefer.

I getcha, the problem with Dead Space is the fact that it was first marketed as a solo survival game that emphasizes the horror of Independence and having to rely on your mind's sharpness on whether or not to investigate with clever traps or flukes to keep you on your toes at all times. As the game progresses it does so in a linear fashion with the same tricks that get boring if the combat is easy, but still manages that panicked sensation on more difficult modes. This game, Agony, I believe? Is not exactly a step down, but it just uses different elements of horror like helplessness, and grotesque stomach churning environments, as well as puzzles that may at some point be timed to push that sense of urgency if an enemy is coming towards you to solve it sloppily. I like the atmosphere, but personally it seems like they forced too much of it in rather than improve urgency or sudden, unexpected encounters with enemies that instantly kill you. Overall, this game is good, but I find it similar to a game called 'Prey' if you've heard of it? It's an oldie, but it plays similar to this game if you don't mind the old graphics lol

Why would you hold your breath on Hell? What would happen if you hold it in too long? You're already dead anyway.
One of the many concepts in Hell is to die over and over again as if it was the first time every time. So, it makes sense to have to hold your breath to feel more Human per-se and it adds to the survival feel. I also wonder what happens if you hold it too long, maybe you exhale real loud bringing attention to you or something.

Jump scares and shitty attacks from off screen are terrifying if you're 12 years old, or if this is '97. Dead Space 1&2 pretty much evolved the formula better than Crapcom has ever done post -Mikami.
I share your sentiments about Agony looking like another pretty walking sim, but let's see what it turns out to be. It has some interesting mechanics. The art direction seems to be trying VERY hard though. I wonder how any grown man puts TERROR & RESIDENT EVIL in the same sentence. This isn't '97. Mutant Crocs and zombie dogs are not true terror by ANY means.

This is no different to other survival horror games, where you have to explore and hide when an enemy is approaching or it drains some sort of energy, as the Penumbra or Amnesia series with sanity, just different theme and different skills.

Bloody hell...So much......So much walking! You walk and walk, peek at something, and walk some more. This honestly doesn't look scary to me. More like Dante's Inferno meets Shadowman. Except packing an art style that's trying a bit too hard. Regardless I'm optimistic about Agony. Sound design seems great, and the combat could be exciting. I hope it's more than another pretty walking simulator.

You play as one of the many tormented souls of hell with all your memories stripped away from you but you then find out that you can posses people and simple minded demons for reasons you don't understand. You then begin to explore hell for a way out using your new found powers. That's what I could piece together from the wiki and the game site anyways.

I have the demo, and you actually CAN push the demon. Doing so, however, she screams and slides down the pillar next to her before pulling herself back up and pursuing to chase you. It scared the shit out of me when I did it.
