Graphics isn't the best, but it doesn't matter if game is fun, and this looks like fun :D I'm really interested in what will come out of it. It is like a different version of Prototype mixed with Parasyte, so I am exited. :)
And Siren! Makes sense since some of the same people worked on it. Siren was basically a horror stealth game where you could see from the monsters' pov.
I thought I was the only one who made that Driver SF connection, it’s very similar Also it’s includes the sightjacking mechanic from Forbidden Siren that Toyama (the head of the studio) directed which is pretty dope.

Bit of Soulsborne, DMC, and the HUD elements are very much like those in Gravity Rush Overall, game seems very interesting. It's definitely more action-horror than pure horror like Toyama's Siren series, and a lot darker than anything Gravity Rush had Also really surprised it's coming out in just a couple months. I was honestly figuring the game wouldn't drop until next year
From what I've seen on social media, the director said that his biggest inspiration for the game's tone and, from what I can see, the powers was Tokyo Ghoul. But you're right, it feels like a mix of Parasyte, Deadman Wonderland and a bit of Prototype.
Funny you mention being surprised about it coming out soon. Myself and others in the know, we’ve been waiting for this thing since 2021. Believe me, I’m not surprised it’s coming out when it is, but I sure am glad it finally is!

At least they're playing it smart and releasing a month after so they don't have to butt heads with another horror themed title.

Watchdogs legions is a good example, this game IS NOT like that it seems. That's cool but lots of reviewers are drawing that conclusion and it's not.

Instead, what we got was an action game, hack 'n' slash, souls-like... everything I hate in a videogame combined. Needs more time in the oven some of the animation is sloppy especially on the grappling hook part you just instantly stand instead of trying to balance so it needs some more cooking

That’s increasingly a quality I look for in modern titles. If a game plays or feels more like a ps2 or ps3 game, that tells me it’s doing something different, I feel sanctuary in those games versus the modern AAA nonsense often tossed to us now. I take solace in games that defy modern sensibilities and conventions. People are so keen on realism, on moving the tech forward, on making the games appeal to as many people as possible; the games have often become sterile, anti-entertainment, bloated, they’ve lost the one thing they need to be: fun.
Looks like Siren meets Parasyte. I'm in. Possession mechanic, monster designs, and the loop format from Siren sold me.
It's pretty much Parasyte, Tokyo Ghoul and Deadman Wonderland all packed into one. Which, in all honesty, is my dream game.

Exactly my thoughts, combat seems to be just parry then string combo. Rinse and repeat. Enemies also seem like punching bags, hits seem flat.

@@anasbakhit4303 Understandable, honestly. I remember reading something about the devs wanting to make it open world, but it was out of their budget, which probably also explains some of the stiffness. The body horror still looks immaculate, and I for one am very much looking forward to it.
That’s increasingly a quality I look for in modern titles. If a game plays or feels more like a ps2 or ps3 game, that tells me it’s doing something different, I feel sanctuary in those games versus the modern AAA nonsense often tossed to us now. I take solace in games that defy modern sensibilities and conventions. People are so keen on realism, on moving the tech forward, on making the games appeal to as many people as possible; the games have often become sterile, anti-entertainment, bloated, they’ve lost the one thing they need to be: fun.
This is kinda dumb when you think about it. You're basically committing genocide so even if you run from the monster everyone dies anyway.
