I'm glad I'm not the only one to have this idea. Tested it out with a very poorly built historic brawl deck (didn't feel like spending arena wildcards on it so I used what I had) and it was super fun to ninjutsu in the ancient dragons.
Ironic that not long after this posted they revealed a commander meant to combine dragons and ninjas (Goro-Goro and Satoru) that makes a 5/5 dragon every time an opponent takes combat damage. Maybe that’s why this hit my recommended feed?
Yeah, that was definitely a misplay. He could have countered the 3-drop and pushed the swiftspear, then played the blocker and would have been able to stonewall the attackers.
i dont really get the point of loch when you have no ways to enable it, but sei la vie. seems like anything else would be better. also it seems like you can just run 4 big boys and umezawa and some evasion and do fine. the ninja tribal never really interacted so just playing other tempo cards could work. make disaapear seems really odd when you have flyers and very little 2+ creatures so you could run the flyer counter
