    Wala pong mali tama po kayo lahat, things to consider is the time of traffic if yong traffic ay umabot ng 5-10 mins dependi sa kong saang city, nko iwan ko lang kong hindi ka mangalay sa katatapak ng brake 😅

    Wear and tear is normal. Every time you move it from P to D you incur huge stress on the engine and transmission mounts and other parts. look at the engine when you move it from P to D (P>R>N >D) and you'll see how the block tries to move in the bay. Better put it in N and use your brakes. From D to P then P to D andaming dadaanan so pag go ng stop light bibirahin mo yung accelerator mo para umarangkada ka agad which is mas nakakasira ng transmission

    meaning kapag traffic keep on drive at kung tumatagal ka sa stop light ng ilang minuto mas mainam pang ilagay sa park ang kambyo at i-handbrake para mas tatagal ang lifespan ng transmission.

    Maaring tama nga si sir, ok lang na nasa drive. Kasi tulad sa MiO na motor, automatic Yun pero pagstart mo palang at kahit nakatraffic ka Wala Naman neutral Yun, puro drive lang Yun.

      Sa umpisa pa lang ng nobela mo mali ka na kaya tuloy kahit anong haba ng nobela mo wala ring kwenta. Kapag neutral umiikot halos lahat ng clutch linings ng automatic transmission hindi lang naka engaged dahil naka neutral nga pero ga papel lang ang distansiya ng lingings sa plates kaya dapat laging maganda ang lubrications para hindi mapudpod ang linings. Pero sa drive naka hinto lahat yan pag naka preno ka. Mag aral ka pa para hindi ka gagawa ng nobela na walang kwenta.

    Idagdag ko po! Malakas po sa wear ng brakepad at brake light ang laging nakadrive. Kase naka engage lagi ang preno. Make sure na. laging kundisyon ang brake system ng motor vehicle. Kailangan maging balanse ang approach sa pag mamaneho.

    Good day po sa inyo. Salamat po ulit sa mga kaalaman na inyong ibinahagi. Sa topic nyo ho ay sadyang marami pang dapat malaman ukol sa automatic transmission. Kaya nga po ayaw ko nito e....( wala ho kasi akong pambili😂😂😂!!!) mas sanay ho ako sa conventional o manual transmission.     Lahat ng bagay nasisira. Pwed lang pa habaiin yung life ng machine. Maski neutral o park. Masisira pa rin yan. Ang secreto sundin ang PMS ng machine. Pero hind pa rin 100% na hind masisira. Sundin lang yung rules sa manual pano gamitin ng tama.

    I've been driving for a while & i dont know this. Lagi pag traffic or stop sa traffic lights palagi ko nilalagay ko sa N from D, knowing na marerest yun transmission & engine. Hahaha.Thanks sa info.

    40yrs na ako nag neutral at handbrake sa kalye kapag matagal ang red light. Eh waka naman ako na encounter na prublema sa iba ibang kotse. Napapahinga pa nga ang legs ko sa matagal na traffic kung parati naka tapak ka sa brakes eh.

Ung iba nga sainyo dami rason sa neutral pero sa hule paa ang rason kaya nagamit ng neutral, except sa uri ng AT na talagang advisable na ilagay sa neutral. Traditional AT user ako never ako gumamit ng neutral, maliban na lang kung kelangan gamitin ang 4wd. Pero sa traffic di ako nagamit ng neutral, baka di mo alam karamihan ng nagamit ng neutral sa traffic pagdating sa uphill nga nga sa Hill start assist na features 😂😂 kaya nung nag activate ang hill start assist hindi alam pano ihandle ang HSA ayun bumulusok sinisisi ang unit na SUA pero un pala hindi alam na my HSA ang matic nya sa uphill 😂😂

    Tama yan mekaniko na nagsasabi… may pros n cons talaga ang Auto trans..yung iba talaga ay nag shift sa Park then hand break. Problema naman kapag binangga ka sa likod ng naka Park ka ay sira transmission mo!kapag naka D ka naman at break ay maraming pwede disgrasya mangyari 😢 kaya mas pipiliin ko ang Safety kaysa buhay ng transmission

    If you're in a stand still traffic then put it on a park gear and engage your parking break/hand break, not in a fuckin neutral. If you engage neutral in every traffic light, you'll fuck the driveline to unnecessary shock when you re engage drive, then if the stop is on incline, then you should put it in park and use the park brake. Neutral is only for towing your car when it breakdown or pushing your car to a safety place.

    At dahil sa vlog na to, binasa ko ulit yung Owner's Manual ng kotse ko (CVT sedan). Nakalagay dun na gumamit daw ako ng neutral kapag nakastop panandalian (for around a minute or more: example sa mga red traffic light). Pero never ko ginawang habit na magshift sa D->N->D back n forth maya't maya sa stop-n-go traffic. It confuses me a bit. Pwde po ba kayong gumawa ng separated content about the same sa CVT?     Ewan ko lang kung hindi pa kayo maniniwala. Basta ako guilty ako diyan. Kaya stop na ako kapag nasa stoplight ay hindi na ako mag neutral. Drive apak ng breaks.     Correct Sir lahat ng sinasabi nyo, nasa logic talaga, talagang malaking tuling yang sinasabi nyo, napaka informative. Ask ko lang sir, pag mahaba ba ang timer 60 to 120 secs, pwede din ba iapply ang HAND BRAKE THEN NEUTRAL THEN REALEASE BRAKE THEN PARK(in short- Handbrake then park) salamat sir.

    As far as i know, depende po yan sa tagal ng traffic, pero para sa akin po ay para maiwasan ang internal leak ng hydraulic pressure system ng clutch natin kung lagi po itong naka enggansa ay may posibilidad kalaunan na magkaroon ng leak sa systema dahil lahat po ng hyldraulic system na nagtutulak sa clutches ay may tinatawag na hydraulic seals (RIng Type). Natural po na kung ito ay laging may pressure? kalaunan ay magkakaroon po ito ng tinatawag ng hyrdraulic pressure internal leakeage dahilan para yung pwersa niya ay humina para mai press niya ang mga clutch disc at spacers kaya minsan mahina na umarangkada at tila baga dumudulas na nag clutch. Although Oil bath naman po ang mga clutch kaya di siya tulad ng conventional na dry eh amoy sunog na kung clutch rider ka. Ang hihina po ay ang pressure na nagtutulak sa mga clutch na babad sa hyrdrualic oil... pero sabi ika nga po! pareho pong tama. kaya nga po sa automatic clutch between Drive at Neutral ay itutulak mo na lang at kakabigin pabalik para mas ease maglipat... Salamat po!

    So it seems that a lot of people overcomplicate things, right? Why not just leave it in drive and just hold the brake pedal? The car stops either way. To this day, torque converters use transmission fluid that acts as a clutch of sorts to decouple the transmission from the engine. That’s why your car doesn’t stall even when coming to a stop with an automatic transmission.
    Continuously variable transmissions (CVTs) are somewhat similar but instead of relying solely on the fluid, the transmission uses a chain and cones that facilitate the changes in speed and the decoupling of the engine, of course, this transmission is bathed in transmission fluid as well.
    Other transmissions like automated manuals (AMTs) and dual-clutch systems (DCTs) rely on mechanical clutches in order to engage and disengage the engine from the gear box.
    Somer experts will attest that leaving your car in drive will cause the fluid or the transmission to wear out quicker for traditional torque converters and CVTs, and may cause excessive wear and tear for mechanical automatics like AMTs and DCTs.

    Baka pwede ilagay sa park na lang din handbrake, maging alisto lang pag matagal stoplight. Kung mabilisan ang tigil galaw, drive and brake cguro gamitin.

    yes sir this is very much applicable to torque converter automatics, but not to automated manual transmission, doubtful also to cvt's or dct transmission.

    Good day sir. Sana po ma-feature naman ninyo kung ano ang dapat gawin kapag nangyaring ayaw mag-start ng sasakyan, at after po ng key ignition fail ay bigla na lang po umandar yung fan. Sinubukang magredondo, ay ayaw pa rin. Sana po talaga ay mabigyan ninyo kami ng information kapag nangyari ito.

    Sir, tanong ko lng po tuwing kelan ba dapat mag drain at palit ng ATF para sa mga BNEW at sa mga 5yrs and older na sasakyan kung normal daily driven ginagamit ang oto? At ano po bang ATF ang masasuggest nyo as "maganda". Thanks 🎉

      Paki check nyo po ang owners manual then ibase nyo po doon. If walang manual need po ma check ng mechamic kung ok pa ang inyong atf

    Mahirap naman un pag traffic matagal ka hihinto tapos nasa drive mode gusto umandar ng makina pipigilan bukod doon hnd pa safe kasi pag nabitawan un foot beake aandar na siya . Kung ako kung hnd ok sa neutral or drive e di sa parkmode na lang . Ilalagay lang sa drive pag hnd matagal hihinto .

    ang problema po pag iniwan mo naka drive ka lang at natapak lang s brake eh pag nakalimutan mo na naangat ang paa mo umaabante ang sasakyan at maari mong mabungo ang ns harap ng di mo nammalayan na gumagalaw pala sya paabante, pag nabigla ka pa bk mamali ka ng tapak s biglang abante at sa lagay na brake eh gas pa magtapakan mo mas malaki disgrasya kumpara sa neutral sabay handbrake.. ano po ang take nyo s ganyan issue at sitwasyon,, maraming salamat po :)

      Ang sinasabi ko po dito ay kapag nasa trapik lang at kung iiwan nyo po ay dapat off ang engine or may tao na hahawak ng manibela kasi bawal din po sa batas na iniiwan ang sasakyan ng unattended.
