    Both vlogger may point. I advice kumuha kayo ng pointers sa 2 at wag nyo na pag tuunan ng pansin kung sino ba tama para wala nang gulo. In the end, ang makakapag sabi ng tamang advise sayo ay yan “USER MANUAL” ng sasakyan mo. Wag tamad mag basa ng manual kasi ibat ibang sasakyan my different procedure how to use 😊

    Para sa manual transmission po ang picture ng clutch assembly sa min 5:40. Torque converter po ang partner ng automatic transmission na gamit ng Fortuner. Napanood ko na rin vlog ng Autorands at actual parts ng sasakyan pinapakita hindi picture lng at mali pa na picture. Honest, clear and concise po and content nila. Panuorin po natin vlog sa kabila para patas bago manghusga.

    Tama naman si Autorandz sa theory at actual kung paano nagtatrabaho ang transmission at nag reresearch siya. Kung sandali nga lang naka hinto ang sasakyan mo sa drive na lang. Nasanay na lang tayo sa manual. Marami ng nabago na sa makina ng sasakyan lalo na sa AT.
    Ito lang napansin ko parang mas malakas sa gas kapag naka drive, mapapasin mo sa RPM, mas mataas pag naka drive, meaning medyo malakas ng konti sa konsumo sa gas. So, Mamili na lang tayo, sa neutral o drive. Again ang sinasabi ni autorandz 'kung sandali lang naman bayaan mo na lang naka drive'. Maniwala tayo sa Engr. na mekaniko pa, araw2 ginawa nila ibat ibang sasakyan hindi matatawaran ang experience nila. Iba2 na rin ang AT ngayon dko na sasabihin kung ano2 mag research na lang tayo.✌️

    @Real Ryan tama ang sinabi ni Auto Randz ang paliwanag nya sa stop and go traffic mas maganda na apakan mo na lang ang brake and iwan mo sa drive ang gear kasi yun mga clutch plates na C1 up to C6 at mga gears ay nadi-disengage at ang gumagana lang ay yun mechanical pump ng ATF kaya napapanatili ang lubrication and cooling ng transmission. Pag nilagay mo sa neutral naka disengage ka pero umiikot pa din ang mga clutch plates C1-C6 at mga gears kaya sa madaling sabi hindi nakakapahinga ng maayos ang mga parts ng transmission. Naging topic ni Auto Rndz yan kasi 7 Fortuner na ang ginawa nya specifically model 2017 at pare-pareho ang problema ng transmission. Yun pinaliwanag nya ay pinatotohanan din ni Car Care Nut na isang Toyota Master Diagnostic Technician. Kaya ako naniniwala sa paliwanag ni Auto Rndz kasi Mechanic sya at naeencounter nya yan sa shop nya. Ngayon kung ang sasakyan ay nakahinto ng matagal at tumatakbo ang makina, mas maganda na patayin na lang ang engine kesa ilagay sa neutral yan ang paliwanag nya which is true. Ang main purpose ng neutral ay kung nawalan ka ng preno, dapat alisin mo sa drive ang transmission at ilagay sa neutral then gamitin ang hand brake or electronic parking brake para huminto ang sasakyan.

      My point naman ung D sa traffic kung traditional AT yan, pero kung cvt or dct i think advisable ang neutral ingat lang baka mapagaya sa montero na nagkaron ng issue kasi human error hahaha. Kapag nawalan ng preno low gear then i think alalay sa hand brake

      @@Ramon11977 dct po kotse ko at never po naging advisable ang Neutral. kaya meron kaming auto hold para hindi mo na gagamitin at neutral. para mag dis engage ang mga clutches.

    kung traffic depende po sa road inclination, kung flat level ang road, okay lang mag neutral, pero kung naka inclined delikado ang neutral kasi kusang mag reverse o mag forward ang gulong kasama na ang transmission, ok lang ang neutral sa inclined road kung naka handbrake ka kaagad, for safety reasons, basta huwag lang iwan sa park mode ang transmission kapag inclined road or nasa traffic or nasa parking area, masisira talaga ang transmission kasi naka engage pa rin ang transmission disc sa Park mode, tapos may load na bigat ng sasakyan na pa abante or pa atras sa inclined surface. i handbrake muna bago ilagay sa park mode para nasa hand brake ang load ng sasakyan at hindi sa transmission disc.

    I have a Hyundai Accent Hatchback dct dry type. Dinadrive ko siya from antipolo to parañaque and vice versa nung nag wowork ako dun. Sobrang traffic lagi from bonni serrano to edsa. Tapos lagi lang ako naka tapak sa drive. Habang tumatagal, nag jjerk na ung kotse ko. Hindi ko pinapansin. Hanggang sa lumala, dinala ko na sa casa. Nung binuksan ang transmission, nasunog na pala ung clutch kit. Ang suggestion nila, pag traffic, dpat nka neutral or naka park. Pag lumala pa ang pag jjerk maapektuhan ang actuator. Pero buti na lang na di nasira anf actuator. After 3yrs mapaltan ang clutch kit, nasanay na ako nag neutral and/or park, hindi na nag jjerk ang kotse. :)

      Sa uri ng transmission ng oto mo advisable talaga na ilagay sa neutral, pero sa traditional AT hindi advisable. Doble ingat lang sa neutral dapat always alert ka na naka neutral transmission para iwas wrong shifting at operation mapagaya sa montero na nagkaron ng issue pero un totoo human error

      I think Autorandz should be clear on the type of automatic transmission and on what car brand the topic is applicable for. Though on his vlog, he did mention that the parts shown were from the transmission of a Toyota fortuner.

    That subject vlog is not just an opinion, it came from a seasoned mechanic who knows the working of every part of a torque converter A/T transmission and have diagnosed correctly and repaired A/T transmission issues time and time again. His shop performs A/T transmission overhaul on a regular basis...
    Though everyone can still decide for themselves how they want to drive their A/T vehicles, the subject vlogs cannot be easily dismissed simply because these vlogs have factual bases. Unless a certified car transmission engineer says its false...
    If not for these types of specialized mechanics, car owners won't have a choice but to buy a brand new A/T transmission everytime there is a major problem. No CASA will perform an A/T transmission overhaul... transmission replacement will always be the recommendation.

    Kapag nakita ko na mahigit 1 min. pa ang stop light inilalagay ko sa neutral muna kc baka nahihirapan ang makina habang nakapigil ang brake,
    Pero kung maikli lang naman mga less than 20 sec. ok na sakin ang still sa Drive at nakaapak sa brake.
    Yon ang palagay ko.

    Share ko lang. I have Avanza latest model and kung mag ppark ka sa uphill, kapag sinunod mo yung manual na handbrake then change to park, magkakaroon ng problem kapag nasa inclined slope yung sasakyan. Kapag mag ddrive ka na from stop, matigas ishift yung gear at kapag hinatak mo may malakas na lagabog. Para maiwasan yon, bago iset sa park pa lang, handbrake, neutral, then park ang gagawin mo.

    I am not fully aware how the typical auto transmission with torque converter works but Autorandz vlogg, bec if you try to drive an auto stop-auto start like BMW, his recent vlogg make sense. High end cars equipped with auto stop-auto start once na inabot ka ng 1 minuto sa stop lights or heavy traffic, engine automatically shuts down while the brake pedal is engaged kaya ang DRIVE naka engaged doon and the moment you depressed brake pedal engine automatically start then pressing the accelerator pedal yung sasakyan start moving forward on the same DRIVE MODE kaya walang NEUTRAL doon.

    Correct. I have Mercedes benz A class 250e plugin hybrid model year 2021. Pag sa traffic nakaiwan lang yan sa drive ako palagi kasi nag automatic sya namamatay ang engine pag naka stop na.. meron rin kasi ang car ko na automatic hold like nangangalay kana sa brake pwd ang car ko ng HOLD like ididiin mo lang ang brake sabay bitaw ng brake mag hold na sya..

    I've been driving my 06 isuzu Altera Automatic since then, and my driving habit is to put it in neutral on traffic and stops, from then my transmission is practically healthy and responsive until now. I also watched that viral post and it set me to al lot of confusion since i also drive a ford focus with DCT and practice the same driving habit of using the neutral on stops and traffic, i guess i should be doing what is my current practice to where i dont encounter any issues as what the viral post mentioned

    I leave it in drive to save (1) the shift linkage bushings since they only tend to have a 10,000-cycle rating and those are a b*tch to replace, baklas center console and all that drama and (2) when in N or P one or more clutches are sliding under spring load, e.g. in the TB50-LS C2 or C1 (can't remember exactly) but that's why these packs burn out fist pag laging naka idle ang sasakyan in N or P.
    Note that contrary to the statement at time 5:35, when left in Drive the clutches are actually engaged thus no wear occurs.
    At the end of the day I think it's really a matter of personal preference. Put it in Neutral if you want, leave it in drive if you want, all up to you.

    Para saaken naman, na-realize ko na mas nakakatipid ako pagsusundin ko yong mekaniko pagdating sa AT kasi experience na sila. May mga example videos siya ng totoong galaw ng engine kung naka drive at naka brake. Pero nasa may ari pa din kung mayaman. Pero kung poor na gaya ko eh dun na ako sa mekaniko. Kasi alam nila kung paano mapahaba ang buhay ng AT.

    Tingnan din po natin yung steepness ng road. Kung uphill or downhill tapos nakatigil ang kotse mo, hindi po advisable na ilagay sa Neutral regardless kung CVT, AGS, or kahit anong matic pa yang sasakyan po ninyo. Remember, kapag naka-neutral ka, free-wheeling ang mga gulong mo, so kung hindi pantay ang road at nag-neutral ka, gagalaw ang sasakyan mo paabante o paatras. Safety lang po tayo lagi.

    Sa mga stop and go situation i never shift to P mode instead i use N pag medyo may katagalan ang pagtigil or D pag sandalian lang... i'm very mindful and carefull sa pag gamit ng P dahil kung hindi malaki ang gagastusin sa CVT ko.

    i don't have to put it on P or N cos the computer knows what to do. i just press the brake and let go wheb the light turns green. dito lang naman kasi sa pinas uso yang N or P during red light kasi sanay ang tao sa Manual Transmission na ilalagay sa Nutral kung naka hinto. sa US ni need kasi Automatic nga eh, alam na ng computer kung ano gagawin nyan. mag youtube kasi kayo para makita nyo na nonsense ang pag switch sa P or N sa stop light sa Automatic. tips ko lang, kung trip mo mag Nuetral sa stoplight , mag Manual ka nalang.

      Hahhaa, ako nagmamaneho din ng manual up to present pero ung operation ng Manual transmission di ko ginagawa sa traditional AT namin, karamihan kasi jan haka haka, pinagpapareho ang mechanical parts ng MT sa AT hahaha. Bihira ko gamitin P sa traffic pero mostly is D. Kakagamit nila ng neutral kahit hindi naman advisable at hindi nakalagay sa hand book, nun nagkamali ng operation at shifting sasabihin SUA 😂 pati un nasa likod naloko naisip manual transmission, un pala matic 😂

      @@Ramon11977 dami ko nakikita nag Drive ng Automatic dito sa pinas lagi nila mag switch from D to N tapos N to D ulit or minsan D to P tapos P to D pag go na. sabi ko bakit ginawang Manual ang Automatic haha ako nag P lang ako pag mag Park ako or maraming baba sa sasakyan for safety. Pero kung quick drop lang Brake lang. mag Automatic disengage naman ang Torque Converter ng CVT pag naka btake ka eh kaya nonsense yan P at N during traffic stop unless traffic yung di talaga nagalaw ng matagal ngalay kana sa Brake yun nilalagay ko sa P para ma realeseko naman ang paa ko konti sa Brake.

      @@rdescritor sa lahat ng automatic na sasakysn ko, VW DSG, Honda CVT at Toyota and 1998 jeep Cherokee, Wala among naging problema sa transmission ko, I just do my maintenance pag need na ng oil change. the only time na mag neutral kami is kung Kailangan itulak ang sasakysn sa gilid pag ayaw mag start or na accident ka at nakaharang ito sa daan. Sa Park or P naman, ginagamit naming yan pag mag park na or quick unload or load for safety.

    Based on my own experience, I put my CVT car (Mirage G4) on NEUTRAL everytime I'm on the stoplight or in traffic. My car lasted for almost 10 years without having issues on its transmission bago ko nabenta last year. Had the tranny checked before ibenta and the mechanic said it is on tip top condition. Smooth shifting and no shift shock. So that's that. I don't believe that it will damage your car if that is your driving habit.
    Based kasi sa Vlog ni Autorandz, puro CVT tranny ng fortuner yung na experience nilang nasisira so may possibility na sa tranny ng Fortuner ang prob hindi sa driving habit.

      My 2008, lancer lasted for 15 years without any problem sa CVT. i never put it on Nuetral while on stop light kadi Automatic yan, di naman manual transmission yan. ewan ko ba sa pinas Automatic ginagawa nyong parang Manual transmission. check nyo kasi pano mag work ang Automatic CVT man or any other Automatic Transmission yan. pag tapak ng brake mag AUTOMATIC mag disengage ang torque converter. kaya no need mag N or P while on stop light or quick stop. gaya din sa mga scooter na motor ngayun CVT na mga yan. ano mag N pa kayo pag nasa stop light? may mga computer yan naka program yan. Gusto nyo pala mag Nuetral dapat nag Manual Transmission nalang kayo.

    7:40 Eto talaga ang dapat malaman ng karamihan. Ganyan din kasi mentality ko. Hindi ko iniisip yung kung mas madali bang masira or anuman. Para sakin, ilalagay ko lang sa N yung transmission kung yung traffic light eh may timer. Kung walang timer ang traffic light, maintain sa D at tapak preno pa rin at naka-handbrake pa. Mas madali kasi gumalaw kapag ganyan lalopa kapag hindi mo alam kung kaylan mag-green yung traffic light. Less process = less mistake, tama yun.

    I have a Wet-Type DCT car. Kapag sa stop-light we can either stay on drive and hold the breaks; or put on neutral and put the parking break. If super tagal, we usually go for neutral or park with the parking break engaged.

    May deeper explaination. Ibig sabihin ni Scotty Kilmer, sa stop and go, huag mo lagi e shift sa drive-neutral-drive. Stay ka na lang sa drive. Pero kung matagal ka mag idle, mag neutral ka or park na lang. For all types of transmission, in general. Because car owners don’t even know what type of transmission ang car nila.

    Pag brake mo sa automatic, disengage na ang transmision... at hindi rin gumagana ang turbo kung may turbo ka... at sa brake ay may control ka.
    Ang neutral ay ginagamit kung itutulak o hilahin sasakyan mo... pero ang neutral ay ginagamit bago ka mag-hand-brake bago mo ito ilagay sa park.
    Sa park, may locking mechanism para sa patag na da-an...

    Neutral parin ako for my comfort. Tsaka na yung arguments kung P N or D. Tama ka Sir Ryan kapag dct like eco sport handbrake mo lang kusa na nagneutral ang tranny. Pailawan lang ang handbrake parang nasa neutral na kahit wala pa sa bit point.

    Mga bagong kotse ngayon may idle neutral control. Walang problema kung nakadrive lang or ilagay mo sa neutral, kalokohan na may masisira sa transmission kapag inilagay sa neutral. Very marginal to non-existent lang ang wear sa transmission band when inilipat sa neutral. On the other hand, modern cars kahit nakalagay sa drive at nakastop ay hindi rin bastang basta masisira even after how many years because of the transmission logic with idle neutral control.

    Shift sa N engage parking brake
    Relax na ang AT & engine (transfer case) supports
    Walang load sa engine, normalized idling for better oil & coolant circulation
    Cool down ng ATFluid
    Off ang brake lights, walang load sa charging system
    At tama po, relax ang kanang paa

      sa US never kami ng D-N-D Wala naman kami naging problema sa transmission for 15 years na both CVT Mitsubishi lancer and DCT vw GTI. Parang ma over use ang cable kung lagi ka mag parking brake or handbrake. tip ko lang sa may mga auto. TH-cam nyo kung pano mag work ang Automatic transmission para maintindihan nyo na no need to put it on neutral during traffic stop or quick stop. CVT man yan or kahit ano pa. Pero sasakyan nyo yan. Kung trip nyo gawing Manual transmission ang Automatic nasa inyo yan hehe

      @@bosley629 never naman kami nag ganyan dito sa US wala naman naging problema yun transmission namin sa 5 Automatic na sasakyan namin, 2012 VW GTI DCT, 2008 Lancer CVT , 1998 Jeep cherokee, 06 Civic Ex at 2015 Nissan Murano CVT, more than 15, years na yun lancer ko tapos 12 years na 2012 GTI VW ko at 1998 Jeep cherokee 25 years, zero problem sa transmission, sa pinas pang naman kasi na uso yang ganyang habit.

    For prolonged stops, I switch it to N then handbrake regardless of what automatic transmission I use. Pahinga na rin yun for my right leg. Pero pag incline na nakastop, keep it in D and step on the brake. This was solved by automatic brake hold but not all automatic cars have this.

    depende sa sskayan yan at sa driver.. pra skin kung matagal kang hhinto mas ok nka Neutral.. kc kht ppano kumakagat pa yan, may friction prin yan mga parts, ang 1 pang tanong kung ganu katibay ang gawang Transmission kung kaya ba ang friction at kaya tlagang ilagay sa Drive ng matagal at lagi lagi itong gngwa. ang pinoy kc maingat yan, ayaw nyan may massira sa sskyan.. dun tyo sa walang massira syempre.. 1 pang tanong, san ba nagmmula ang sira ng mga pyesa? sa movement ng mga pyesa o sa init? prang manual lang yan, pag neutral walang nka connect na pyesa.. pag Primera nmn at aapakan mo brake eh tingin yo ba ok lang? at depende na dain kung ganu ka hugh tech ang gawa ng transmission.. pwde yan gawan ng autmatic mag disenggage ang mga pyesa lalo na pag nka stop.

    I agree. Global standards, nasa "Drive" daw talaga para controlled ang sasakyan. Pero kung kaya mo naman and nakakapagod nga namang naka-apak, you can shift to "Neutral" then handbrake... Similar to manual, wala namang masisira...

      hindi nyo po pinanood yung subject vlog. Sinabi nya ok lang naman mag nuetral pero pag ginagawa ito sa slow moving traffic ay makaka apekto sa maagang pag deteriorate ng AT lalo na kapag mahigit 100x more ito gagawin sa isang araw. Mag neutral daw once full stop at red traffic light. Kung slow moving traffic kahit drive brake ay pede.

    I have a 2014 Toyota Tacoma with 1900K miles. One owner, Parati ko nilalagay sa neutral pag naka stop ako. Never had any problems. Battery and tires lasted 9 years. Yung mekaniko na yan hindi nga nya alam ang tawag sa clutch slave cylinder. Tawag nya ay seconday master daw.

    Kaya nga D N R P yung arrangement ng most CVT ih, at tinatawag na Neutral.. in between Driving and Reverse, ang Neutral ay ginagamit pag naka engage ka due fully stop para di mag suffer ang Driving gears Vs Break system.. ang Katumbas ng PARK is Neutral + mini Handbreak, at ang Neutral is just Stop Kaya ka mag Hahandbreak during Quite Long time na paghihitay.

    I drive a Honda City 2009, 15 years na mostly in Metro manila traffic, neutral lang pag traffic stop wala pa naman problem. Nasa manual, you use neutral if it is necessary to stop briefly with the engine idling.

    I am driving a conventional automatic transmission. Pansin ko may punto ang paliwanag ni Autorandz. Tuwing mag drive neutral ka sa traffic ramdam mo yung jerk pag galing neutral to drive. May punto si Real Ryan na normal lang itong gawin dahil yun naman purpose ng AT. Pero sabi ni Autorandz gawin mo ito 100 times a day during traffic eh makakaapekto ito sa transmission dahil oo nga naman kasi nageengage ang mga mga moving parts na nagcocontribute sa wear and tear ng transmission. Kaya kung slow moving traffic naman kahit drive brake drive brake ok lang, kung may full stop at red light pede na mag nuetral.
    Eto si Real Ryan based on theory lang naman. Lahat tayo mas natuto based on actual experiences not based on theories. Mas naniniwala ako sa mekaniko na may extensive knowledge and experience kesa sa nag gogoogle lang para may maibigay na punto.

      Based on exp saka lang ako naglalagay sa N kapag 60sec pataas na stoplight timer or mahaba talaga traffic 😊 3 manual car kasi kaya nasanay. Sa slow moving traffic brake and D lang hindi masakit sa paa 😂

    Kahit saan mo ilagay ang gear ng auto na car, wheter neutral, patk or drive kung nakahinto ka ay wala effect sa car. Thirty years plus ako nag drive mg automatic car sa states... Wala akong nakita o napansin na pagbabago sa aking car kahit kunti. Kalukuhan na lang ang mga sinasabi ng mga bloggers ng kung ano ano na dapat gawin sa automatic na cars. Kung ano gusto mo na mag drive ay drive ka lang. Kung nasa manual ng sasakyan ay dapst ganito ganon ang gawin ay yun na lang ang gawin mo, otherwise ilagay mo sa drive and drive safely.

    I disagree with the dual clutch viewpoint. See, VW, BMW and Porches PDKs does not disengage both clutches when in stepping on the brakes at D mode. Hence, the rpm stays the same. But the chinese cars DCT are different- only clutch 2 is disengaged, clutch 1 is engaged all the time in D mode when stopped. Thats the reason why the rpm is high at 900rpm when in drive with auto stop engaged. But when in neutral, the rpm stays at 750rpm.
    Not all DCTs are the same. You can verify this at their respective service repair manuals.

      Hay nako , Automatic transmission is Automatic transmission, Manual transmission is Manual manual transmission Wag gawing Manual ang Automatic . kahit iwan pa ninyo sa D yan during traffic stop kahit pa 5 minutes yan walang masisira Dyan kasi may computer yan. Kaya mga walang clutch pedal ang Automatic kasi Automatic nga, tapos ilalagay nyo sa Neutral sa quick stop or stop light? Ano yan Manual Transmission, I owned bought CVT Mitsubishi Lancer and DCT VW GTI and I never switch from D to N during traffic stop unless ngalalay na paa ko at gusto ko ipahinga ng konti .Wala akong naging problema for 15 years sa transmission sa US. nilalagay lang naming sa Neutral pag nasiraan at kailangan itulak sa tabi or ma tow yun sasakyan. Sanay lang kasi Tayo sa manual transmission kaya naka gawian na mag neutral ng mga tao pero it's nonsense talaga pag Automatic ka. Kaya nga tinawag na Auto kasi pag nag brake ka, Yung computer na mag disengage ng torque converter sa transmission. Wala kana ibang dapat pang gawing. Kung go na let go of the brake that's it.

Di naman nya sinabi na bawal gamitin... what he said is wag mo gawing manual ang matic mo... kada few meters in heavy traffic mag drive neutral ka syempre masisira yung tranny mo... pero kung long stop like 2 mins or more i neutral mo o park... yung ang ibig ipahiwatig ni auto rhands.....

    Even in the advent of mastic tranny, mas gusto qpa din ang manual trans kaya when driving a matrix tranny I go to N most of the time. By the way, my cars are Honda civic manual and a Honda city matic. Salamat Sir sa info, CHEERS! 🍻

    Im using a 2002 altis a/t.decided to change the whole tranny when Drive and reverse is delayed with shuddering.changed the tranny with surplus last 2016.the mechanic said root cause of the problem is due to not putting it on NEUTRAL during PROLONGED stops such as 3min red light and above.i still have the surplus tranny today and still have the car.still doing what the mechanic adviced.but if on stop n go trafic less than a minute or 2,i use DRIVE.

    I usually leave my transmission on D when driving within the cities of metro Manila, even at a stop light. Pag Medyo matagal ung stoplight (mai time indicator) I usually leave it on P na. Pag mai major accident sa highway, more stop than go, naka D pa rin ako. Otherwise, I have to shift from D to P numerous times.
    Last car ko 8 years bago nasira ung automatic transmission at 295,000 kms.

      Kaya naman pala 8 years lang at 295K Kms lang tinagal ng transmission mo.

    Minsan kala ko naibalik ko ka sa Drive, naka Neutral pala. Ang tendency High Rev tas biglang Switch sa Drive. Feeling ko yun yung nakakasira Ng transmission.
