Reduced to having to put her down to try and forget her, he knows he can't do it, so he just tries to play off the pain.
This guy is really a talented artist. I dont understand why he isn't on the mainstream. He stands out among everyone else. He verbalizes the point of a song in a way that's so unique, you'd tell yourself, "of course! why didn't i express myself like that?!". He makes the perfect of melodies, emphasizes on the right parts. He's very expressive yet manages to leave the listeners thinking as what the song could mean. Very talented.

I see your point of view and though I don't necessarily disagree, I also think that that the Beatles' strength laid in their simple yet brilliant songwriting and harmonies. They laid the foundation for the generations of anyone influenced by rock and roll in that era and for many generations after. As for their actual music...not the most technical or instrumentally incredible, but still many awesome, memorable songs in my opinion. I appreciate the respectful response.

As for the Beatles, they aren't my favorite band, but I recognize that their influence(in my opinion, the most important mark of a great band) was monumental and some of my favorite bands and artists have been immensely influenced by them and their music. Not to mention that they were innovative musicians and great songwriters. My point remains.
